When Jon left the Daily Show I was devastated and thought he could never be replaced. And he wasn't, Trevor made it his own and he's brilliant.
Same! Jon Stewart is still amazing in all of his pursuits & as a genuine human being. I didn't think I'd even be willing or able to watch TDS with a host who wasn't Jon. But I'm really glad I kept watching.
Trevor, in all ways I've seen from the outside, is such a magically authentic human being. He's someone who makes the world better, but truly - not as just a cliché. I imagine that anyone anywhere would be instantly better just by knowing Trevor personally, in any capacity. 🖤
He made it his own turd, and no one watched. Unfunny pathetic liar. He killed the show and it's ratings. Now he pretends it was his decision to step down. Disgusting and the people who buy this are just as pathetic and stupid.

Trevor is so good at talking. He actually brought depth to the jimmy fallon show. Who knew that was possible. He’s so intelligent, charismatic and so well traveled. No wonder he’s had such a hit show for so long.

After hearing him explain why he's leaving, I can't even blame him. Going through 2020 really made a lot of people reflect and chase the things that they've been putting on pause for so long.
Trevor to me is the definition of a wholesome human being.
This is such a weird take. He was doing wholesome jokes on tv but he has not always been a wholesome comedian and im sure he will swing hard in the other direction now
Was at 1 of those 2 sold out shows in Toronto and was one of the best experiences. Trevor is absolutely hilarious...no doubt. but it's the way he makes you laugh, trail off your laughter into a thought provoking moment, and end with joy and reflection that I think truly makes him brilliant.

Trevor is highly intelligent, well informed, knowledgeable, charismatic, empathetic, insightful, nice, likable, relatable, well-spoken & genuine, in addition to being very funny. This is what makes him such a great comedian and an amazing person. I can't wait to see the things he is involved in in the future.
Man, Trevor behind his default-funny personality is the most genuine, balanced and superbly smart individual. Of course, no human is perfect, he too has his imperfections, but its a privilege to hear his perspective on things and see world in a different light whilst simultaneously reeling with stomach pain caused by extreme bursts of laughter. Simply amazing!
Can I ask what you mean about his imperfections? I'm not asking as a megafan or anything, I mean I think he's wonderful but not my #1 hero or anything. I've just never heard anything remotely critical of him, other than from a racist and/or far-Right political viewpoint. In 2016-18 I didn't like him, but he's extremely smart and that's what's interesting to watch now even if the jokes aren't always landing, his insight is keyed in. The "alt-right" pipeline had me for a minute there like millions of others.
Trevor is such an outstanding personality. I had the feeling that the Daily Show became too small for his talent. It wasn‘t the right place for him anymore. I looking forward to his new projects - even if he just enjoys life.

@@herika006 to be fair under his tenure the viewership decreased 81% (and that's only in the past year) in the key demographic of 18-49. Obviously social media different viewership, but this is massive. This figure is factual, easily findable, and widely reported across the media political spectrum. Not a matter for debate.
Wouldn't be surprised if he was let go rather than opted to leave. Jon Stewart was always bias, but held both sides to account. Noah was a politically pandering host. Shane Gillis should be a breath of fresh air.

So I can’t compare him to JS, but lately I found his interviews more interesting and natural than the daily dose of jokes that must be written because it’s a comedy show.

Seeing him everyday is a blessing. I'm so sad that he is leaving. I'm going to miss him but I wish him the best and will follow him wherever he goes. I love Trevor so much
I understand where Noah is coming from...seasons change and I'm happy for him to venture off into new things
No one really watches late night on TV, they usually watch the clips on CZcams....hard to monetize that.
Being locked in from Covid made Trevor long for wandering the world, and the 7-year itch ain't exactly a myth. In my job, I was so ready for a change of venue when I hit the 7-year mark. Once your daily experience becomes predictable to the point of becoming formulaic, you begin to crave change of any kind.
Trevor didn't have much of a choice. The ratings were so dreadful, he was coming in last or 2nd last for nighttime talk shows.
This is showbiz and Trevor getting the axe is just part and parcel of the business. He was a well spoken individual who could have good conversations. Albeit, I did not find him funny.

He also has the strongest numbers for the young adult viewers, who tend to be the most coveted by advertisers. The ratings you mention are based on 24 hr air date viewership.
@@victorpradha9946 The ratings are compared with the other night time shows. The audience is not there and obviously he was getting the axe and given the option to leave without drama. Which he obviously is taking, until they replace him.
I hope Trevor writes another book. His first one is so hilarious and brilliant.

Eloquent, funny, charismatic, humble, respectful, and objective are just a few of the words I’d use to describe Trevor. Just saw him tonight in Orlando, and it was simply amazing seeing him perform live. Insightful as always but hella funny. I listen to The Daily Show each days it’s on to keep informed (and to watch Trevor 😂😂😂😬😬😬😬) . It’ll be a rough transition.

I must admit that I’m going to miss watching him do his show but I’m incredibly happy that he’s taking life to the next level by simply not taking it for granted anymore and doing what he loves. I’m sure he’ll be excellent at whatever he chooses to do.
I will miss him, but he wants to enjoy his life...He among other key people helped hold us together during the horrendous pandemic and political madness. Thank you Trevor for help us keep calm and for sharing your family with us, loved him sharing his grandmother with us.
Trevor Noah can take a blah story and take it to the top of the ladder, not only by being funny but opening up our minds, our eyes with knowledge. He brings insight to what is going on all around us daily! I’m sure going to miss him on the Daily Show but this genius of a human will continue to change how we see and think of things! I love how much being interviewed he is exactly like on his show. Its truely a genuine a one in the same type of energy, and it gives off the vibe of Trevor having his shit together in life. Thank you for all of these years! I first started watching when I was getting into late night shows - and then being here at the end too is just kinda magical to me.
Trevor is a comedic genius. Not every comedian (even successful ones) can sell out arenas.

Man, best of luck to you during your musical journey. I dabbled in various instruments my whole life, but turning 48, something finally clicked and now I am jamming with different people with my darbuka and I absolutely love it. There is no money in it, but the satisfaction that can be experienced when the music really flows is unique and I love every moment of it.

His continuing doing standup reminds of Jay Leno. He said he kept doing 3-4 shows every week even in his most successful days on tv. Going to some smaller city, checking into some little motel, talking to the manager of the theater and looking into the faces of real people kept him on the ground he said.
Trevor Noah will do great things in everything he does because he is such a wonderful loving person. I am happy for him and will not be sad about his change in direction.

Destiny is a good place to start, watching debates can be quite informative on what people actually believe. Trevor is one of the most obviously biased late night hosts in the history, at least jon stewart joked that he ran a fake news show. You never see trevor engage in good faith with opposing arguments, its super cringe to watch almost any of his segments relating to politics. I encourage people to do actual research and not obtain recieved opinions from some late night 'comedian'
