In back to back, had to have it drives, Mahomes walked down a top 5 defense twice and got it done. Weve never seen a QB play as consistently great as this guy has. The only argument left is the Resume arguments, but at this time in their careers, nobody can touch Mahomes

Chiefs had 4 drives in 4Q/OT and they scored points on all 4 drives
@@moose4ku440 virtually nothing before that is pretty awful. 49ers were so close to having 1 play at several points in the 4th quarter that would have put the game away and not given the ball back to the Chiefs is the other thing

Im kinda sad to not hear more mentions of Harrison Butker, the guy is sooo damn instrumental to Mahomes legacy. He established a SB record with mutliple 55+ yards field goals yesterday, it was huge ! He scored the tying kick against the Bills in 2022 in the most epic playoff game of all time, I mean the guy is writinhg his name in the history books, gotta show some more respect to him !
As much as I love and respect Butker, I have to set the record straight here: he only hit one 50+ yard field goal in the Super Bowl, but it was from record distance. (It might've also been the kick that put him in sole possession of first place on the all-time postseason 50-yard kick leaderboard, but I'm not sure about that.)

@@codybrooks5016 well, i don't see many kickers make the field goals he makes against SF in the superbowl, plus other really important ones, like the one against Buffalo two years ago, so yeah, I do think so ! This is not a slight on Mahomes, he's already the goat imo, but just a reminder that football is a team sport and that no matter how talented you are, you don't win games alone...

Best coaching staff in the league
Andy is averaging 12 wins per regular season over the last 6 years, and is currently at 258, while Belichick is at 302, so Andy only needs 44 games to catch him. It seems likely he could pass Bill up in 4 years. Bill is 3rd, only 16 behind Halas, and 26 behind Shula. Also Andy is only 5 playoff wins behind, but that is only 2 more years at their current rate. If Reid stays for 4 more years, the only question will be how many Super Bowl rings.

Florio was leading the cheers for defensive players to destroy Mahomes (don't let up on nailing Mahomes) when he was running the ball close to the sideline, back during the playoffs of 2019. He was trying to boldly talk that scenario into existence then. He's a corporate putz to the Nth degree.

Butker has been with mahomes since day 1, with the game winning kick in mahomes 1st game.
I'd like to take a moment to reflect on the number 41. It's the number of touchdown passes Mahomes has thrown in his playoff career; it's the channel (KSHB) that's the home of the Chiefs in Kansas City; and it's the number of points Harrison Butker scored in this postseason, which ranks 5th all time. Butker is one of three kickers to score 40+ points across a single postseason (2006 Adam Vinatieri and 2021 Evan McPherson), one of two to do it with no missed or blocked kicks (McPherson), and the only one ever to attempt at least 11 field goals and at least 8 extra points and nail every single one. Finally, 41 was the number of total points scored in this Super Bowl before Mecole Hardman's catch ended it.

49ers didn't let the Chiefs hang around, it's not they like can score but they choose not to, the Chiefs Defense stopped they every time they tried, it's the Chiefs Defense who kept The team around in the game.

Your bias against the Chiefs is pitiful Chris Simms. They were obviously were the better team in each of their Super Bowl wins. Otherwise, how did they do it. I'm sure in your eyes it's just plain luck. It blows me away that after three championships you can sit there and disrespect them like that. Look at their playoff record. It's abundantly clear the Chiefs are at least as good as the Pats were, if not better. Why is it so hard to admit that they are one of the best teams of all time? Instead you denigrate them by saying they might not have been the best team on the field. You need to hang it up and find something you're actually good at.

This game never felt like the 49ers were dominating at any point. The Chiefs defense was showing that they’re the best in the NFL once again. And Stevie Wonders could have seen what was happening. The Chiefs literally broke the 9ers defense and capitalized when they did.

Are you telling me Jed York cant spend another $150-200k per year to some assistant coach that does nothing with the players, nor the game, unless it's to advise Kyle towards the end of tight games! Hell, I'll do it. Because this Superbowl was theirs for the taking. It was there the whole game and then in OT as well. Did you watch the OT? KC had the 49ers stopped, then defensive holding was called which saved thier drive. If the refs were on KC's side they would have ignored the hold.
