- What if your contractions have started but your cervical dilation goes really slowly? In this video, Nathalie Kaufmann, Pregnancy and Birth Consultant, and Mathias Ritter, Science Expert, present 10 tools that will speed up your labor, by helping you dilate faster! In fact, the tools that they present are proven tools that midwifes consistently apply to help women dilate faster during early labor and during active labor. They are also based on scientific research to make sure that these tools indeed help you dilate faster. Moreover, the list of tools contains tools which you should always apply if you want to dilate faster, because you the are a requirement for cervical dilation. In other words, without them you cannot dilate and, in particular, you cannot dilate faster. On the other hand, the list also contains tools which will help you dilate faster, if you apply them diligently.

Hi I'm 39 weeks now.. walking 30 minutes everyday is enough for natural birth?
My wife forced me to watch this so...I'm watching it, and this comment will stand as evidence that I listened to my wife 😑

#1) Drink more water💦

#3) Breathing techniques 😮💨🫁🤰🏽
#4) Nipple stimulation 👌🏾🥰🍼👅
#5) Massage 💆🏽♀️✋🏾hands,feet🦶🏽legs🦵🏾&back
I watched this video and it helped me during my second labour. My mom gave me warm water to drink and I kept going to the toilet. I went 3 times before I went to the hospital. Also walked round the center table in our sitting room. Guess all these fastened the labour as I didn’t spend up to 30mins in the labour room before baby came out. My mom was super supportive by the way and God was the greatest!

Whenever I drink warm water I got 9th month
I can’t thank you enough, I delivered my beautiful baby yesterday and the labor experience was amazing because I followed some of your tips to speed up dilation, I kept myself hydrated, empty my bladder frequently and kept my feet’s warm during labor. My labor was 7 hours and it was the fastest labor I have ever experience. Thanks tons.

Your accent is not bad at all.
Everyone has one. And you speak slowly which is nice for non native English speakers.
So I get all you say immidiately
Oh, that's such a valuable feedback Hanaa! Thanks so much! ❤️😊 Actually, we have never seen it that way that speaking more slowly than an English native speaker may be an advantage for others!!
Thanks so much!!
All the best for you and your baby!! ❤️❤️
I love your videos! I’m a doula, TCM practitioner and EBB professional member, and I think this channel is perfect. You speak very clearly (no, not a remark about your accents, but they’re clear too!) and describe and explain things really well. THANK YOU!
Hi there Lise! 😊
Thanks SO MUCH for your lovely comment and feedback! 😘
We are very sorry for our late reply! We replied to your comment already 3 days ago, but sometimes, youtube deletes our comments or the comments of people posting on our channel (we still don't know why)...
We feel very honored that even professionals like yourself are watching our videos and like them! Therefore, we really appreciate your great feedback! Thanks SO MUCH! 😊😘
We are sending you lots of love!! ❤️
Your personalities and your accents are THE BEST
Hi there Heather 😊,
thanks SO MUCH for your very lovely comment! You are a sweetheart!! 😘😘
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
I’ll be honest, I thought I had come to a conclusion within 10 seconds that you two were not for me. For some reason I kept watching and it took less than half the video for you to win me over. You are so cheerful, as a midwife I was worried about what you were going to say but I have not had issue with anything you have advised, I love the balance of science, medical and natural advice you are giving. You seem really aware of what might make your videos difficult for people to watch and acknowledging it is so smart. I will continue to watch your videos. They are really helpful and uplifting to me as I am pregnant with my first child. Thank you
Oh, what a wonderful feedback!! 😊
Thanks SO MUCH for this! 😘 It really means a lot if people take the time to write such a detailed feedback!! It is very much appreciated! And we are very happy to hear that you find our video helpful! 😊

Love the chemistry between the two of you, so cute! I also enjoyed how the written part of 'labour squats' read 'labour squads', I thought we were in for some advice about getting together with other labouring women and forming a squad to all encourage each other haha!!
Hi there Joanne 😊,
thanks SO MUCH for your lovely feedback!! 😘😘
Yes, we know!! We found the mistake exactly 4 days after we launched our video!! But then it took off already (in terms of video views), so we could not delete it and re-upload it... 😩😩😩
But we really like your way of thinking: forming a squad of women encouraging each other - LOVE IT!!
So, let's just pretend we did that on purpose... 😅😅😅
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
I LOVE your accents, it's very calming! And your content is helpful without inducing fear. Way to go! 💜

36 weeks + 5 days right now! I’m hoping for an unmedicated labor and birth!
Thank you for all of the information and advice.
Thanks so much for your lovely comment Samantha!! We really appreciate your feedback!! ❤️😊
Exercise is the most important thing that we recommend to all women who want to have a natural and unmedicated birth! We really see this all the time at the clinic: women who exercise tend to have a much easier labor and birth and they are also the ones who tend to go into labor spontaneously... The only problem is that not every woman is allowed to exercise during her pregnancy...
We wish you all the best for you and your baby and that you can have the very birth that you are hoping for! You deserve it! ❤️❤️
I was watching this video when I was my labor pain started. The tips were life saviour. Thanks a lot ❤️❤️❤️

We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your entire family!! ❤️
You guys are a joy to watch.
Yes with your accent as well 🤭
Love your sweet spirit and playfulness as a couple ❤
The only thing I kept misunderstanding was the word “dilate”. The way you pronounce this word made me confused thinking you were talking about “delay” the exact opposite 😅
Love your visuals too!
There’s great value to your work here! Thank you 🙏🏽
Hi there 😊,
thanks so much for your very lovely feedback! We are very happy to hear that you like our content! 😊❤️ 👍
Regarding our pronunciation of the word "dilation": we know the problem! 😅 At least 10 other moms have told us the same! 😅😅
One would assume that our pronunciation improved over time. But unfortunately, I doubt that we pronounce it better in our more recent videos... 😬😬
Anyways, thanks a lot for your feedback again and we wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Thank you 🙏 Honestly speaking I didn’t noticed at all about your Akzent…your English is quite good 👍 keep going 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Hi there! 😊
Thanks a lot for your lovely feedback!! We are very happy and grateful to hear that our accent is not THAT bad after all.... 😊
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
Thanks such a lot for your video! We believe from conception, through birth, into fresh air parenting, the process is designed to thrive with united teammates. Yet even as a dual dr family, I struggle to find resources to help my husband understand how he can practice his involvement in the mysteries that medical systems typically take out of birth. We pray for a home birth if God wills, and what a gift to find a rare channel where a husband-wife team teaches together to help us get on the same page with new ideas. We thank Him for you both and desire His joy over your whole family!
Hi there 😊,

We wish you ALL THE BEST and god's blessings for the upcoming birth, for you two and your baby!!! ❤️
I enjoy your guys content very much, and don't mind your accents. When I first found your channel, I did think it was definitely an extremely unique accent, as I haven't heard Austrian accents before.
Great videos and great accents, keep up the awesomeness.
Hi there Maralyssa 😊,
thanks so much for your very lovely feedback! We really appreciate it and are happy to hear that you like our content! 😘😘
Regarding our accents: we like to call our English "mountain-English" 😅😅 That's because of all those mountains surrounding the little villages we originally come from.
That said, our English is quite "special" because we lived and worked in cities like Zurich, Oslo and Amsterdam and our English has been strongly influenced by their languages too...
Anyways: thanks again for your feedback! 😊
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
This video was sooo helpful. I’m 27 weeks and loved this advice!!

Hi there 😊,
thanks SO MUCH for your feedback!! It is very much appreciated because it helps us improve our videos! 😊
By the way: the reason why we did not illustrate the breathing method is because there is gonna be a video on that. It will go online in November. 😊
In the meantime, we wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby! ❤️

Am 9 weeks away , first time mommy. Am watching a lot of birthing videos to try and have an idea of what’s waiting for me , but I guess it’s something I have to experience 💙
Hi there 😊,
totally agree! Every pregnancy and every delivery is different. But it's never wrong to get an idea of what's waiting for you because it makes a huge difference if you go into labor with confidence - knowing what expects you - or if you don't know what's waiting for you. We see this all the time.
Plus, if you have a birth partner, it never hurts if they too know what they can do for you during labor! 😊
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
just the video i needed; I’m currently in my first stage of labor. 5mins apart lasting a minute and more

Oh noooo! Don't say that about your accents, don't think that matters when you're giving good information and also gave such a positive and funny attitude between the two, I really liked that. Hello from Portugal, my baby is due at the end of August and getting anxious about the birth experience 🥰
Hi there 😊,
thanks SO MUCH for your lovely comment!! We really appreciate it and are super happy that you find our video helpful!! ❤️😊
Don't be anxious about birth! Always keep in mind that billions of other women have successfully done what you are about to do! If they can do it, you can do it as well! The most important thing is that eventually, a healthy mother holds a healthy baby in her hands! That is what we wish you with all our hearts!! 😊 🥰
Greetings from London to wonderful Portugal and all the best for you and your baby!! ❤️❤️

All the best for you and your baby!! ❤️❤️
Thank you both so very much for all of the invaluable information about labor and delivery! I had to be induced for my baby born today due to severe preeclampsia and I employed many of your tips in order to progress my labor as much as possible. Though the experience started as a more stressful event because I was only 33 weeks pregnant and was very ill, the delivery of my little 3 pound 9 ounce baby girl went as beautifully and smoothly as it possibly could have been and many of your tips really made the difference! You are wonderful!!
Hi there 😊,
that's GREAT to hear!! 😊
First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on your baby girl from the 2 of us!!! 🥳🥳🥳
We are super happy to hear that our tips helped you with an easier labor and birth 😘 and we are particularly happy to hear that everything went well given the many things that life threw at you during your pregnancy and labor!
We wish you ALL THE BEST for your recovery and of course for that sweet little fighter! Enjoy every minute!! ❤️❤️
@@CareAboutLittleOnes update! Miss Margot is now a healthy 20 month old 24 pound toddler, and we are both healthy and happy! You two are the best! Keep doing what your doing!!!❤ I have had my daughter watch you through her two pregnancies and deliveries and it’s been a wealth of great and calming info for both of us!

Hi there 😊,
that's very sweet of you to say! Thanks a lot for your lovely feedback!
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️
I really enjoyed your video and the laughs you gave with it. Great info! 39 weeks and 2 days here and set to be induced in 3 days, but I sure would love to go into labor naturally before then.
Hi there Carisa!😊
Thanks so much for your feedback!! We are grateful to hear that you have found our video helpful (and that it made you smile a bit)! 😊❤️
We can absolutely understand that you would love to go into labor spontaneously!! But as we always say at the clinic: at the end of the day, all that counts is that, eventually, you are holding your baby in your arms and that both of you are healthy and well!! And that is what we wish you!!
All the best for the upcoming delivery, for your baby and you!! ❤️
Thanks a lot, from India.. absolutely your videos are helping easy to understand more about dilation

Hi there! 😊
That's WONDERFUL to hear!! 😍
First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on your newborn from the 2 of us!!! 🥳🥳🥳 And also, CONGRATULATIONS on a successful VBAC!! 😍 You are the living proof that women can absolutely have a vaginal delivery after a C-section! They just have to be given the chance to prove it!
Also, thanks SO MUCH for your lovely feedback!! It is very much appreciated and it makes us very happy to hear that our videos helped you!! 😍👍😊
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! Enjoy every minute of it!! ❤️
@@CareAboutLittleOnes Hi, I have completed 38 week and 6 day today and I'm facing pressure in my vaginal area and thighs...my all Doppler reports are normal and i don't have any complications...my doctor suggested me for c- section or induction of labour but as she is going on leave 1 to 3 oct and my due date date is 5 th October...i said that if everything is normal till now and thr is no complications then I'll wait for normal labour till 40 week at least but my doctor doesn't want to wait and she blocked my number from whatsapp... should i still wait for natural labour or i tired second opinion from different doctor and change my hospital as well... please suggest bcz my fst priority is normal delivery.
@@priyankagaur1988 Hi there! ❤️
To be very honest with you: in our personal opinions, such a behavior from a doctor is an absolutely NO GO!!
The only thing that is important is what YOU want and what YOUR INTERESTS are! And if there are no medical reasons for an induction (let alone a C-section) then it should be up to you yourself to decide if you want to wait or not!
Such a behavior from a doctor is really very unprofessional and the question is what are the motives behind such a behavior?
Therefore, we definitely recommend changing your doctor (and hospital if required)! You said it yourself: your first priority is a normal delivery. We are sure that there are many doctors out there which can help you with that!
We hope this helps! ❤️
We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! Don't be discouraged! It's your pregnancy, it's your body and only YOU make the rules here! ❤️
