I saw Sevendust in San Diego at street scene on year and i had no idea who there were when they came onstage. After their set, everyone knew who they were it was intense.

Saw them at a Tattoo festival that was three days and they were playing on day two and I wanted to go to day 3 for KSE. Glad I did not. 7Dust. Godsmack and Taproot were all amazing and stole the show.
Everyone just knows how to contribute perfectly to the band.
I love them live. Everytime they do the Xmas Day/Angel's Son mix it's fucking great because its such a subdued performance amidst all the energy from the other songs.
Sevendust was always one of the most underrated nu metal bands. I feel old now because I remember when this was new. And this is may be the third most late 90s music video ever (behind Machine Head - From this Day and Coal Chamber - Loco).

If you wanna see two astounding voices bounce off each other, Sevendust's 'Licking Cream (featuring Skin from Skunk Anansie) is a must.

They havent had the same lineup the whole time. The guitarist clint left for a few albums.
Yes Clint wanted to play in his brother's band Dark New Day but he came back to Sevendust in 2010 so yeah look at the lineup now its the original lineup from '94

It could've been their soundboard but everyone backed away from the stage because the sound was unbearable.

If they're ever back in your area, go check them out and hope you do a meet N greet. The entire band is one of the most down to earth folks you'll ever meet. Awesome group of guys.

Sevendust is always on fire, and they are one of the best live bands I've ever seen. Waffle, Bitch, Unravelling, Karma, can't really go wrong with anything.
Also in kind of the same style band is Nonpoint. Check out some of their songs too.

I'm proud to say my band was able to open for Sevendust 8 times. 3X at Jaxx in Springfield 2X in Richmond at the 1X at the Black Cat in Richmond and 2X at The Filmore, Silver Spring, MD in the early 2000s. Really nice guys and Lajohn is the gold standard for a humble musician! Such a good dude. I talked to Clint at length about his time in Still Rain and shared memories of seeing them at The Flaming Mug off of Bragg Blvd when I was stationed at Bragg with the 82nd Airborne Division. Good times, great memories.

Thank you for finally reacting to them. If I could recommend any song by them it would be Angel's Son. It helped me get through some rough times over the years. And I would do the alternate video with them on beach with other bands. They actually wrote the song after losing a friend due to a car accident.
If I am not mistaken the "friend" that died was the lead singers son, Hence the name. Also i think he should react to the other video of the song because of the meaning behind it. I would love for him to react to that song though.

Sevendust is pretty awesome. A few of the band members even have some offshoot bands that are really good - John Connelly has Projected for example (freakin awesome band, check out Projected - Watch It Burn).
My favorite Sevendust song is "Black". It's the 1st single off their debut album. It focuses on racial profiling & racism in our country, & is a pretty powerful song, especially with how things are in our country right now. You should really check it out, awesome song.

Sevendust is a killer band for the gym playlist. The song that got them going was Black, which is amazing, but you can find songs all over. Angel's Son as others have said is REALLY good, but you need to get the backstory of the song and the video because it is crazy powerful. You can look it up, but there was a band called Snot that used to play a ton with bands like System of a Down in LA who's singer died in a car wreck. Video is all these artists and family who were influenced by him. By the way, Snot would be another amazing band to check out (that whole 1998 Ozzfest was just amazing, but I'm dating myself now).

Sevendust is easily my favorite band. Been following them since they were called Crawlspace and I absolutely love that you're starting to delve into their stuff. One of the most underrated bands in the world, in my opinion. For songs to check out I'd recommend: Trust, Black, Suffocate, Broken Down and Licking Cream for some of their older material. New albums? Risen, Not Original, Slave the Prey and Thank You. PLEASE, PLEASE do more reactions to Sevendust.

I heard this song and band for the first time in 2000. I had the same reaction then and it's still one of my favorites.
