Lajon is absolutely AMAZING. So underrated. This band has so many great songs. And, yes, they can get soft. "Angel's Son" will rip your heart out.
Angel's Son is such a hauntingly beautiful track. One of my all time favorites.
7Dust are criminally underrated! Huge 20 year rabbit hole...Face to Face, Black, Waffle, Bitch, Enemy, Praise, Prodigal Son are all bangers...Angel's Son is a soft side tribute that'll tear you up...and oh so many more greats.🔥🔥🔥🔥

Sevendust is amazing. Always has been. It's terrible how underrated they are in the "mainstream".
Morgan Rose the drummer for Sevendust is amazing. I knew you'd like him. Him and Abe from Deftones are two of the best drummers of the 90's-2000's imo. Technically good, tight drummers with jazz, hip hop and rock all thrown together.
This is their sound!!! Any song you want from their whole catalog is worth checking out... The drummer has many videos that are spectacular to watch...

In the early 90's, until '97, Soundgarden was my favorite band. Period. Then I saw Sevendust live in '97, and they've been right there aside Soundgarden ever since. The music of Sevendust has been the soundtrack of the 2nd half of my life. I've grown old with them. Their lyrics are telling the story of their lives. They've been disrespected, they've been lied to, they've been hurt be ppl close to them. A fan since '97, and to the grave.
Black by Sevendust is a banger if there ever was one. Honestly their first 3 albums are fantastic from start to finish
This whole album is the shit. Definitely one of the most fun and satisfying groove rock/metal albums to play along to on drums. Twelve Foot Ninja is another band that comes to mind if you like this.
Lajon the lead singer actually started off singing R&B before joining the band & switching to metal style singing, so his harmonies & dynamics are rooted in R&B stylistically.
Need to check out “ black” and “ bitch”. Listen to them daily…. So good

The bass also hits the same tone as the floor tom so it makes its sound so much deeper.

You gotta check out a song named "Faction" - by Candiria. It's a very unique sounding track I honestly think you would enjoy or find interest in. Their drummer is insane!
Please check out "Pieces" or "Inside" by these guys. Or even their latest "Dying To Live". And if you ever get a chance you have got to see these guys live!!
Chod, you absolutely have to do Boz Scaggs, "Why, Why" from 1971! It is a great fusion of rock and jazz with great bass and organ! You will love it!!!!

Based on this song this is just the start. That was last century and they have gotten way better and worse from time to time. Nonetheless there is a reason the are my only tattoo. It's an awesome ride. Hope you enjoy the ride that you choose to take with this band.

This pop hard rock music that really hit the radio hard in 1999 and continues to today, I absolutely cannot stand it. I don't get it and its channel changing material. Sevendust tho, I don't find offensive whatsoever. I wouldn't say they are good, but I won't change their music.
