I was blessed to see Stevie twice live. The 1st time I was about 20 feet away at the most. The 2nd time was the night he died. So I was one of the last ones to see him. It was a great show with Stevie, his brother Jimmy, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, and Rober Cray. I've heard that the helicopter pilot had flunked his instrument only flying test, and that night was very foggy. Instead of taking the copter straight up, he took off in a sweeping curve and flew right into the side of a ski slope.

I had the exact same reaction when I heard this. Tal is amazing. I had to find out who it was.

Not bad for a guy who never actually saw a guitar. His eyes were surgically removed when he was one year old. Cancer and again cancer which took his life at 41. A legend in Canada but mostly overlooked except by musicians. It's hard to believe but there were people who said Healey had lowered his standards with his choice of bandmates. I don't think it would be possible for a band made up of his equals in talent to exist although the group put together on Sandborn's TV show for See The Light might have, if they'd tried it. BTW, if it's jazz you want you don't have to give up Healey. He was also an accomplished jazz trumpeter.

Funny thing is there were others some couple centuries or less ago who did greatness, but because of modern tech, Yngwie will go down in history as the master and he really deserves all of it ❤️

You get it, thank you. So nice to see an appreciation for the tribute Tori is paying to Karen and Richard while still maintaining her own lane, as you put it. There's so much more depth to her voice than being what some just label as a Karen sound alike. (Even though that's hardly something to be ashamed of!) I saw most of your Carpenters reactions when you first did them several years ago and also you first two Tori videos and have been waiting for your reaction to this one, and you didn't disappoint, sharing an intuitive insight and understanding from a musician's point of view. I would be remiss to not point out the incredible contribution of Jim Wilkas and all the Band Hub musicians in the video. I believe Jim was the one who approached Tori about adding her vocals to the piece that they actually had already put together. My understanding is that they are collaborating on another Carpenters song to be released sometime in the near future. So much more that could be said, I see you have also reacted to It's Impossible, still have to watch that. I am 51. I grew up in the 70's ans 80-s. Yes...almost all media had good messages and or good vibes. The "grey" factor had not hit. Though we weren't perfect ,we strived to live the ideal. We didn't promote as much negativity. Most movies and especially TV shows had good/happy endings. It gave us a mentality that everything will work out in the end. I hope that helps

Hey Chod. Thanks for the kind words. Tori is a voice in a million. The reason I suggested this song to her was because Karen Carpenter sang a verse of this in a medley on the Perry Como show back in the 70s. I always wished she'd recorded the full song. I feel that Tori has now completed the work Karen began on the beautiful song. I loved your reaction to me chipping in with my harmony. 😊 It was my role here to just stay out of the way of Tori's gorgeous voice and just blend. I think we did ok. Thanks again.
