Nice to see you do another video BazBattles. But I was surprised that you did one on Game of Thrones and not something that actually happened.
For a brief moment, I thought to myself "Seven hells, BazBattles sunk to a very deep level if it is to really cover that calamity of a GoT Episode which is referred to as the Battle of Winterfell!". But then, luckily, I noticed that it was about quite another Battle of Winterfell. The gods be praised.

In the books winterfell is captured first by the Iron Born and then by Ramsey Bolton who was pretending to be rek. In the books Ramsey escapes death by dressing as his servant named rek. Whereas in the TV show Ramsey turns Theon into Rek.
The move to take Winterfell took some guts. Theon Greyjoy certainly had some balls. HAD....

Not so fun fact about those two boys Theon killed: they were more than likely his own children, unbeknownst to him. He was having an affair with their mother, and it's all but stated that he fathered two boys with her and had her husband raise them as his own.
In ASoI&F kinslaying is a cursable affront to the gods. Theon’s fate reflects a poetic version their supposed punishment.
I think theon was too young to have fathered the older boy, but the younger one for sure
I thought I was going to just watch a black screen for ten minutes, but you covered the much more interesting battle. Also, just want to say your extra work on the maps is noticed by this fan!

It's amazing how much the Iron Islands were basically a sideshow to the War of the Five Kings, but also possibly the most impactful, given the ripples their actions created.

If Luwin had a little more time to convince Theon to surrender, it would've been quite the butterfly effect. I imagine the Boltons would've at least temporarily put off their plan if they saw Stark banners inside Winterfell, no sacking of Winterfell means Robb likely never sleeps with Jeyne, which means he doesn't break his alliance with the Freys, which means no Red Wedding, probably. Quite the interesting what if.

For a second I thought this was the "Battle *of* Winterfell", the absolute shambles of a battle we got in GoT S8, thinking "Wow, Baz has lost his edge..."
I was so glad that the video was about what happened after Theon captured Winterfell in Book 2/Season 2.
One thing you Forgot Asha Greyjoy came with a Dozen men or so to try to get Theon to Leave Winterfell, but he refused just to point out
Would you consider doing the battle of Winterfell from Season 8?

The dude have 3 arms, one of 10k, one of 1k, one of 250
Each one is completely isolated from the other, the northman could pull out 5k and attack the 2 smaller ones and then reach south, Victarion would be forced to give the battle to protect his ships, but the Iron Borns dont have anything that can stand against heavy cavalry, like Asha himself said.
ironically Theon plans saved the Greyjoy campaign, if Asha could have give him a hundred or two hundres man he could resist months

Ramsay and Reek were caught hunting women in the woods where Reek was killed. Rodrik kept Ramsay in the Winterfell dungeon waiting for Robb's judgement and Theon released him.
