just by the sound of those pistons going down the cylinders you could tell thats a perfect bore job....beautiful fit and finish....great video...i didnt know about those notcthes for the shell bearings.i probably been putting them together wrong for years.

do pre units not have the case screws inside where the cylinder fits or did i miss it or are they over kill ?. idea for future content, don't do stock timing, do using gauges on inlet and exhaust lift.
i like them.. most people leave themm out they are considered overkill! i have thought about doing a timing video but i would need an hour or context and prepare most people for

The way those bearings look I think you should replace the oil 🛢 pump and polish the crankshaft if it isn't tore up.

if they are out of spec yes
So do you think the that built the engine your working on now do you think he did the other 2 engines that need to be over hauled as well.
no these all came from different shops different parts of the country
What temperature and how long in the oven for the cylinder barrel?
375 for about 30 minutes

So if they had hot 🔥 tanked that crankshaft with all the bolts 🔩 do you it would got all that bad oil out of there.
i think pulling the trap is the only way man
