Nadine Dorries being on the front bench of the government lends weight to the theory that Boris Johnson appoints people who are less intelligent and competent than him, so that he doesn't feel challenged, and yes, the bar is set pretty low.

I think the sale of Channel is probably a done deal and a deal with Rupert Murdoch will most likely be involved with it somewhere down the line. Nadine Dorries just thinks we're all stupid as she is.

Why was she allowed to continue lying, she should been stopped immediately & the lies corrected immediately. Allowing politicians to continue their lies reinforces those lies, many listeners won't hear the corrections.

As somebody who works in consultations in another sector, I can tell you that sadly in the cases of big decisions, the consultation is done after the decision has been made for public relations purposes, then used to apparently justify with evidence why the decision is being made. Or the research methodology is constructed in such a way to deliver a particular result.

This is wrong and this is why they're all getting away with selling every stick and brass tack of this country because people don't know how to overturn it and watchdog type positions and regulator don't seem to exist any more so they sell and we watch them running off with everything in broad daylight with law firmly behind them
This is the failure of the system and is stacked in their favour not ours even though it is our properties.

Be wary of ascribing all of the Tories problems onto Johnson. Don't forget, they chose him, he came from their ranks, they still support him.
The problem is the Tory party, Johnson is just the current poster boy. Worse than most, admittedly, but they can't seem to come up with a better one.
Presumably there will be a VIP Lane, like the PPE Scandal had, where Tory Donors will get first dibs on the privatisation. It won't matter whether they have any broadcasting experience, as long as their loyalty to Johnson is never in question. As for Dorries, her knowledge of Channel 4 programmes seems to be Derry Girls and Gogglebox, which she instanced as examples of their output.

To speak the truth, I always look forward to hearing her and seeing her, because people in her position think they're clever.

Perhaps, when they ask her questions, she should be given a choice of four possible answers; one correct one and three completely daft ones. That might help, but could make very little difference; we'll never know!
