Until you learn that BOTH the left and right are mirror images and both equally intolerant narrow minded and dogmatic you are part of the problem as to why it goes on. AND-ironically, BOITH the Tory right AND Labour left are made up of posh sheltered middle class prigs having a schoolroom squabble with each other which is another reason we are where we are and real issues of concern to people outside of this sheltered middle class zone.

Translated: We're going to sell Channel 4 whether you like it or not!
Because Channel 4 is proper naughty and said disparaging things about the conservative party.
So we are going to sell it to a Tory donor whom promises to ask us open-ended questions without challenge..

Why does a cabinet member a state "which media outlet I chose to appear on is my choice..." as if she were a celebrity or movie star rather than a representative of Her Majesty's Government who has a duty to account for her official actions though one of our major TV outlets. I see talk of the press as the Fourth Estate has fallen off. As for privatization of Channel 4 a public service broadcaster a cabinet minister who clearly expresses an highly individual and biased view regarding its news content is not providing the disinterested and dispassionate attitude appropriate to and expected of a Culture Secretary. The vulgarity of this is astonishing - though, I am afraid, in Ms Dorries's case is hardly surprising.
