Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries doesn't know who owns Channel 4

  • Nadine Dorries’ first appearance before a select committee as Culture Secretary yielded a number of eyebrow-raising moments - not least her surprising assertions about the funding of Channel 4.
In her quesitoning by Damian Green, she said the consultation will focus on “how Channel 4 will survive in the future”.
Dorries claimed that “just because it’s in receipt of public money [it doesn’t mean] we should never audit the future of Channel 4”.
When it was pointed out that this was not the case Dorries proceeded to stammer and flounder her response.

She would flounder if asked her own name, would ask the person next to her for clarification, complain the questioner was a mysogynist, then sit back with a self satisfied smirk assuming she was cleverer than all the others. The only reason this apology for a "person" is in the cabinet is to make the Idiot-in-Chief look good. WTF has happened to this country?
