It also shows a police officer stopping to get hand sanitiser while the gunman is in the building.

Wow hand sanitizing his hands was more important than the lives he was suppose to protect.
To be fair, I think it was a nervous reaction for being scared as hell, and not knowing what to do. These policemen are out of place; not only they can't mentally handle a situation like this, but they all seem to be obese and out of shape.
Let's be real, at least that one officer had the presence of mind to get sanitizer from the wall dispenser in order to neutralize the germs on his hands. Think of the people he saved from disease by doing this.

It's a reaction that subconsciously says 'I'm cleaning my hands of the guilt'. He might not even realise why he did it, but we do.
These guys are always tough with regular citizens on the street. Bullying them, and then pretending that they felt nervous and unsafe. That they thought their lives might be in danger. As an excuse to get away with bullying and manhandling. But when it’s time to actually go in and handle some business, all of a sudden they lose all their bravery.

I was so impressed to hear they arrived within 2 and a half minutes, retreated…then 50+ minutes later action was taken.

This is absolutely the most deplorable thing I have ever seen. Everyone of these men is a coward 100%. They need to be fired and if possible charged with some responsibility of not keeping the oath they took to protect and serve. Absolute cowards and they should be reminded that they did nothing when they were relied on called on and said they would help. I would love the chance to “ talk” with them and see if while we were “ talking” they would call for help.

And as much I’ll admit maybe they could’ve done something we also have to remember that they have certain protocols they have to follow don’t blame the cops blame their commander. Firefighters stop calls that also require medical, and other calls they also have protocols to follow

Prime example of the average American cop right here. They become cops because it's one of the only jobs left where they can make a good middle class living without having any actual real skills. Every single one of these cops wasn't thinking "If this was my son I'd be rushing in right now". They were thinking "this is another day like any other and I'll be damned if I'm gonna die and not get my pension at the end of my 25 years".
The truth is that an experienced officer w/equal firepower could have taken out the gunman by himself: fact.
