8:56 I feel you, our lasers also keep breaking and nobody can come fix them. One of our current setups is ghetto as hell and includes elements such as "the pipe bomb" and "the hobo home". And half of it still runs on code I wrote as an intern with zero coding experience.
But at least in the meantime I get to fuck around with bacteria and colourful proteins in the wet lab. Doing physical biochemistry is pretty cool but also kind of cursed at the same time

When I was a kid, probably 3 years old or 4 years old, I rememeber peeing from the top of a toilet (that I was pooping on), out through the door, and across the length of my parents kitchen- probably about 17-20 feet in total. I think part of the pee equation is diameter of the hole and ability to exert a pressure impulse with the musculature, because I sure as hell can't do that anymore, and I sort of suspect there's a decreasing-pee-speed-with-age magic number that nobody wants to discover so it isn't named after them.

Nigel, your remote fulminating gold bomb - use liquid nitrogen to freeze sheets of pre-dissolved aqua regia + gold solution and sheets of ammonium hydroxide, you may also need a heater but that is very cheap, you can get mains powered heating cable designed to wrap around pipes etc very cheap and would be suitable for this, just use a portable generator or whatever if power is needed and you are remote. Can use dry ice to keep aqua regia frozen if ln2 is too expensive.
Get a very large flat tray (or many large flat trays), put in your ln2 to get the trays down to temp, put in the sheets of frozen ammonium hydroxide, put some more ln2 in to keep things frozen while working, put in sheets of aqua regia + gold, top off all trays with ln2 and get to safe distance.
    Turn on heater and wait.
Ln2 will boil off first, then temp will slowly rise until ammonium hydroxide melts, temp will still be stupidly low. Temp will slowly rise until aqua regia solution melts and reaction will start. Because you are using many large flat trays, the reaction should happen relatively quickly and should have a somewhat reasonable mix. Give it some time and the heater will speed up the reaction, eventually it will all be reacted, it will either explode by itself or the heater will cause it to explode.

I learned how to socialise by watching others and it is always good to see how other people who might have had a similar expierence learning social rules have decided to tackle the situation and thier strategies for it.
Also it is funny and entertaining, but I think seeing a social interaction between people who have strong and deep loves for thier interests&/jobs is a new opportunity for me. I hope that william will continue to remain in the lives of these people even if he ceases producing videos on youtube, hopefully cameos and the like. May the will of those who harrassed him enact the undoing of thier evils using only thier own powers and choices.

Can confirm, I've watched just about every E&F and E&I video atleast twice, some of them like the chlorine dioxide video, the old alchemy explosives video and the white phosphorous video I've watched probably a half dozen times or more.

Honestly, this podcast is in my top 5 favorites of all time. In every episode the members all play off of eachother really well, and they each have very interesting backgrounds. Will should do an episode with 50 people at once, where they can only hear each other in groups of 4, but the audience hears the full audio of everyone. When a new episode of this comes out it is always a treat.

The funniest thing about a episode like this is that these guys can talk about realistically making fuel and building a rocket, but they have some issues with editing or structuring videos that don't seem that hard to me coming from film school.
It might sound weird, but I do legit believe you guys would benefit from watching some cooking shows or documentaries not made for the internet. Damn, maybe even reality TV could help William with thinking about editing "real time". Like, you already know the kinds of videos and trends of the internet, so something way out of your comfort zone might spark some ideas. Studying screenwriting, storytelling and narrative really helps even when you aren't making fiction. It's a weird irony of film school, if you want make fiction, you end up reading and researching a lot more of non-fiction, while if you make documentaries you somehow end up watching way more fiction.

I must say Will, you are the best podcast host I heard so far and I've been binged watching this for like 11 episodes. You're amazing.
