Old Pueblo Coin
Also...never talk about coin collecting until AT LEAST the third date 😉
😂😂😂 Yeah, it’s about that timeframe when you start considering whether he or she is a good fit with your collection goals. 😂
I like the way you think.
Those were some of the rarest and most expensive coins that I have ever seen. Thanks for giving us paupers a look at them.
Never seen one in person. Thanks 4 the show. 😮😮😮😊
I've yet to own a 1790s coin. Someday, someday....
I love the toning hidden away in the peripheries on the 1795 half, incredible coin!
The title of the video matched the contents perfectly. Talk about some significant coins...
The Flowing Hair half 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 What a lady 👏👏👏👏👏👏😍
If I hadn’t attended the Tucson Coin Show, I might have been able to afford one of those!
Wow , This is why people collect coins. If I owned those coins they would never be sold. Ben, great presentation and thank you !
you could trade these 6 coins for a nice house where i live, this is nutty
The 1793 chain cents were only struck for 2 weeks, and ran out of planchets.People didn't like the design. They were engraved by Chief Coiner Henry Voight, who wasn't really an engraver. He was a clock maker, built steam engines, and ran wire mill in Reading,PA.He was also close friends with Thomas Jefferson and worked on some of his clocks.Jack Black is a cool dude, huge DIO fan.On the Dio tribute album,This is Your Life,he sang The Last in Line,as Tenacious D.🤘🤘...I like when you say,Murica🇺🇸
Great pieces, I gravitate towards the gold!
I can appreciate the beauty and the rarity of these coins. These coins are well beyond my pocketbook and I could never hope to own one or more of them unless I won the lottery.
Beautiful coins.
Ben, there are 15 chains in the 1793 chain cent which represent the number of states we had at that time. Great pickups! Coins to drool over.
Gallery Mint Museum made copies of the chain cents the 1795 Half Dime, and the complete 1796 set from half cent thru $10 Gold!
You're speaking to me... These classics are markers of a special time in US history. Always great to see these motifs.
Had to buy a new phone cuz I drooled all over my old phone and shorted it out while I was watching this vid 😉
😳😱
Thanks Ben! Coins are definitely something to dream about. Prices are a nightmare. LOL
Sent me down a whole side adventure trying to learn about Jack Black's collection. Amazing coins, thanks!
Adding a comment on the 1/2 dime.
Each one of these coins were weighed and adjusted if heavy, file marks in two directions indicate the first filling was insufficient and it was redone. There were few of this denomination known until a hoard was discovered in a safety deposit box in the 1880's, this is like one of those,
I get 15 when I count the links. Maybe Oscar Meyer designed the coin?
Be sure to check your change at the coin shop.
Wow Ben. This is where I wish I had 100k to buy all of those coins . Gotta love early American coins theres truly nothing like them just beautiful designs on them.
Hey Ben - I didn't hear you say CAT'S MEOW - so I am going to say it twice - These coins are the CAT'S MEOW!!!!! A fantastic display of American Coinage in truly beautiful condition - yep I wouldn't throw any of those of of bed!!!!! You got a bonus on the gold coin with the cuds - more gold weight in that one. I really can't choose what I consider the coolest or favorite coin - it's like someone asks a parent - which of your children do you like best? Anyway, thanks for showing us these coins and happy for you obtaining them. Did you get these locally? - just curious - whomever sold these to you must have had a hard time parting with them. Best Wishes
Sweet coins! My dream coin is the 1953S Franklin half dollar in Ms gem grade with FBL and the Bugs Bunny variety. I can dream can't I? Lol
just Wow
Thanks for the add of the Jack Black video!
I remember drooling over a pair of 1795 flowing hair coins. One was a dollar the other was a half dime. They were beautiful and to this day I've never seen a 1795 dollar with a nicer overall look to it. They both graded high AU and he paid $5,000 for both. That was in about 1997 or 98. Thanks for sharing those, Ben!
1795/1795 50c is my favorite, thanks for sharing this video with us
Wow, nice coins, out of my realm thx for sharing great video enjoyed it
Tremendous coins Ben. I love 18th Century US coins.
Me, I always wanted a Gobrecht dollar. I could afford one if I really wanted it, but the problem with a coin that expensive is that you have to sell it as one unit. $100-$500 coins are a lot more flexible to buy and sell.
That 1795 half dollar displays one of the best examples of a double date I've ever seen. Just a fun coin to own! I bought a cleaned one a few years ago for significantly less, but it's cleaned. That one is a beauty! The 1796 dime is gorgeous, with lots of detail on the reverse. That small eagle is my favorite, but often comes weak. The chain cent appears to have some rim dings, but PCGS didn't think so. If those aren't rim dings, how can you tell which ones are? Fantastic coins! Thanks!
Big fan guys.
Chain Cent is always the best...
Thanks for sharing, very nice lesson for me
Certainly a "wishful thinking" showing today 😆😆 💰💰💰💰💰🤑🤑
Thanks Ben !! You knocked it out today with these amazing pieces!
I'm putting all of them on my Christmas list 😍
TYVM! If I can't own them I can at least see them, which is pretty special all by itself, wow!
I'll watch this video 100n times in the next year. That half dime is so cool. What a group of big dog coins. Great video
the flowing hair coin is a dream coin.
Wow. Such a cool group of coins. Dream coins for sure, it’d take a while to save up for them 😂
5:23 I like the hair of that dime. Looks gorgeous and it's appealing, to me also the eagle in reverse has the detailed feathers 😮
Wow , wow, wow.😮 Let me just go sell my house and buy a couple of those
That was an emotional roller-coaster of a video. So awesome seeing the amazing coins, but then realizing I'm too poor to buy them. The two dates zinger got me too, witha truth chaser. Haha. Absolutely love the old gold!!!
But a guy can dream!
Wow! Beauties!
Hear ye, hear ye I proclaim these are magnificent coins you have there good sir.
God Bless The Old Pueblo
Incredible coins!!! Thanks for sharing them with us Ben.
1797 $10 Gold call it unique!
All I can say is “WOW”
Coins I can only dream about owning!!
Those are some of the most beautiful coins I’ve ever seen. Probably not something I would ever own, but I can drool over them!
Legendary Coins Ben!!! Thank you!!!
Absolutely beautiful collection, beyond the bucket list. Ben thanks for sharing some amazing pieces I knos I’ll never own.
Your 1797 $10 is an identical twin to mine! Very cool. 😎 both are BD-4 variety
Very cool!
Very funny Ben good comedy through out! Don’t get a second dates lol!
Oh yes! A fantastic view of super rare early American coinage. Way to go Ben.
Glad you enjoyed it
Some day...
Lots of oos and awws coming from me..
Wow, ok. Lemme check my couch cushions to see if I can afford one of these. Hm....nope.
I have never been able to appreciate American coins. They are just not good looking to me, but for those who enjoy them I hope you enjoy them in good health to each their own.
Love these coins!
I will take them all. Thank you!
Perfect!
I would pay $1,000,000 for the 'MURICA chain cent.
Hi ben
Think about how much$$$ those 1797 $10 Gold bought in goods! Groceries for a year or two!
Just $13K, well now!
Ben the CoinGOAT
Many of the known examples are excavated ones found by metal detectorists. Some have a beautiful green patina. Others are corroded so much they are barely recognizable.
Speaking about the chain cents.
im always looking for a nice chain cent, dream coin yes
Not only would you drool, you'd jump your spouse, too.😂
Hey Ben
🏆
I'll be 5th I guess. Hi everyone.
That dime calls to me
Why aren't those heavily polished gold coins given a details grade?
Wait...why does the Red Book lump the 1792 Half Disme with the half dimes of 1794-1795? They're nothing alike. The Half Dismes were patterns, and completely different in design. The first "official" US coins made were the 1793 Chain cents.
I just bought a PCGS Genuine Unc. Details 1882 CC Morgan today, and I thought I was hot shit. Oh well...
We have lots of coins we can love at all price points
Wow.
I counted 15 chain links.
Serious question: This is big level up in terms of coin you normally feature and offer for sale. New business strategy or have you been holding back?
Neither. I wish I were holding $20,000 coins just for fun!!
Jack Black strikes again! “Numithmatist” 😂
Lincoln, Johnson coin. To funny 😁
I hope you have the doors locked.
why are the eagles so skinny?
Rathole that 1795 Half Dollar!
Id trade a healthy kidney for a collection like this if anyone needs one. Im B- if that matters😂
First?
Solid 3rd
TENTH!
