What an amazing selection, WOW! that anacs graded trade dollar, that 🌈 Morgan even that last 🌈 wheat cent. The ship wreck silver, the ancients.... I'm in full on coin stimulus overload right now. The engelhard bars!!!! 😮 What a shop. And I love the name cuz I'm from Massachusetts and bean town is just a name I'm so used to hearing.

You can tell he actually cares about his customers and knows you by name. One of the few, my lcs doesn’t know my name but i know his whole familys name and always ask how theyre doing.

My uncle gave me a partial mercury dime and wheat cent collection when I was about 8, my local coin shop had a 1916 D mercury dime that was perfect for $95 and some others in the $60 range. Thirty something years later I’m still bitter that I didn’t buy it.
I retired 5 years ago and took up collecting coins. I have been to 3 coin shops around central NC and I don't care to step foot in another shop around here. Joe looks like he has it going on with that cool shop and it would be nice to have something around here like his shop. Estate sales and auctions is how I've gotten most of my coins so the personal aspect is not there.

52:25 look at my profile pic. That is a necklace I assembled with a bunch of US coins from the 1800s.
I also have a necklace of foreign coins with holes in them yet this necklace specifically has all five precious metals. It's a rhodium plated sterling silver chain with a 10ktwhite gold lobster claw (10kt white gold is also known as Palladium gold), held together with a .95 platinum jump ring.
I even have an Albert chain I made with everything but rhodium, and in the middle is hanging an 1856 half dime; I have a gold $1 coin from 1856 on a necklace, and a bronze pocket watch that says Made in 1856 for another outfit. I even have coin rings, cufflinks, and tie tacks.
That Piece of 8 mentioned earlier isn't about being big&flashy, it's about coordinating taste

I love going into a shop that house a great plethora of variety. The shop I went into to buy that currency album was about the size Open informal dining room basically 15x 15 It was pretty dang tiny but I could imagine what he had in the back room 😊

everything you want in a dealer too bad hes too fart from me lol...Its nice to see how different dealers all offer something great just in different ways..Ill always love guy and I like Brian and Johnny very much all great personalities just different and all have similar things but not exactyl the same, like if I want a rare coin Id go to guy or Joe, if I wanted $200 in 35% nickels Id go to Brian if I wanted a cool necklace Id go to Johnny...Anyway I do love the variety of coin shop dealer videos as well so thanks for taking the time to showcase them all, just wish I was in Fl, so I cna go in person too...

I wish my local Coin shop was like yours then whenever I walk in they never know what I want. I’ve told them several times the kind of things I collect. I show them the kind of things I collect and they never remember what I like to collect or ever hold anything aside for me too bad I don’t live near that shop.

I'm not much of a coin collector (stack focused) but Hobo Nickels, love tokens & bills with ridiculous amounts of 0's are so cool; probably because it's the polar opposite of stacking & shows peoples ingenuity when currency goes to its intrinsic value of zero.
Currently looking for some Venezuelan purses/wallets woven in Bolivars.
As far as the Nazi coinage, it seems he feels the same as I and hit it on the head. I own one piece & it sparks an emotion deep down, like history should.

I've actually run into people (online, not literally in the physical world) who have strong moral opinions against collecting coins from Nazi Germany. My defense to that is "if I buy a Nazi coin, the money I spend on it isn't traveling back in time to support the Nazi regime." To me it's just a piece of history. Not all history is good history, obviously. But I own it for the pleasure of owning it, and my pleasure doesn't derive from glorifying what the government that made it stood for. I think there's a better case against buying coins that support governments that still currently exist and are doing bad things, but... for defunct governments I feel no guilt for owning their coins. Heck, the US government did bad things in the past too, but nobody seems to have a problem with owning those coins.
