Can Coin Guy and I do 100 videos together? With your help and support, I bet we can :)
Yeah you can
Can and should. Your interviews are among your best content. Guy and Brian are always awesome and welcome. Seth was a fantastic surprise, looking at some of Witter's rarities was top notch.
yes please do.... I learn alot watching you guys...
Husband and I are in favor!!!!!!
Do it!! 👊🏻
If the government says give up your gold...that's when you hide it......love this guy.
Government can go to ,ya know!!
When Coin Guy mentioned baked beans, I thought of the movie "Blazing Saddles" when the cowboys were all farting from the beans - LOL.
Funny scene. Great movie. Unless you can't take a joke.
@@sidcolwell7479 I feel like nobody can take a joke anymore lol even comedians are getting criticized
Love that movie !
I thought of the movie Tremors, with Kevin bacon. "baloney and beans!" 😂
That’s gonna be you my friend. Scarfing that shit down 😊
The coins, the history lessons, the knowledge...almost overwhelming. If I lived nearby, I'd visit him every week.
Something you gentlemen don’t know about is the trucking companies charge a surcharge and it back when I was trucking I had six trucks and made thousands of dollars of surcharge that you got for buying your fuel so they’re making out so they can still live but most people don’t know that What that actually means is the customers that are moving that freight are paying a percentage of the fuel and you collect that at the end of the month
Me too I'm retired be great conversations !!!
The coin guy is cool as hell, dead ringer for Archie Bunker
Strong New York accent also.
Mickey Rooney.
😂🤣😂
maybe a little
Coin Guy is way more intelligent and interesting ✌️
I spent the last 14 years prepping and it's paying dividends now....had to use my generator 2 times in the years since I had installed - but those 2 times were truly amazing - my family was happy - the AC kept running....
prepare yourself - it provides a great deal calm in your life....
Just found this channel, I’m from Long Island NY and this guy keeps dropping names of towns from here and it probably sounds alien to most people but to us native New Yorkers it’s normal. This guys knowledge about everything is amazing. Such a treasure trove of knowledge. Glad I found this..
We’re glad you found this too!
I like the historical stories that Coin Guy recites from his own experiences. History repeats itself and the wisdom of these older guys is vanishing and hard to find . Thank you Spegtacular
Thank you for watching!
hes absolutely right about credit unions. ive been with one for 35 years and its fantastic
Yep. Left wells fargo (crooks) for a C U 15 years ago
I’ve said it before, but I could listen to The Coin Guy all day.
And you can! Check out the Coin Guy playlist!
This guy is amazing and he is so intelligent he knows his history and he knows his coin he's awesome
Every episode keeps getting better and better. These are so packed with info its amazing.
Thanks for watching, Scott!
He is the best good man
The Coin Guy, always the best interview on CZcams.
The lack of classical education in this country now is remarkable.
These conversations with the coin guy are so interesting and keeps me hooked watching every episode! Thanks for doing these visits
I could listen to him for hours. His wife would probably disagree.
@@aldonco Yeah same here Aldonco! Haha….
You are correct , I remember Nov 22 1963 The whole world stopped for 3 days all peeled in from of the TV back then you only had 3 stations 3, 6, 10 In Philly ABC, CBS and NBC.
Close to 1 hour of Coin Guy, my Saturday is starting off great! Thanks Spegs!
Love it! Coin guy is spot on with everything he says. Love the patriotism! 🏴☠️🏴🇺🇸
What a great video. I learned so much. Speg, you have a treasure in the Coin Guy. Thank you for sharing.
I remember seeing JFK in down town Tampa just a few days before he was killed in Texas. I really enjoyed this video. I could have a blast talking to Guy all day.
I took my girlfriend out for lunch yesterday. Asian chicken salad, 2 iced teas, double cheeseburger. $44.
2 years ago, pre pandemic, same meal, $27.
Nordstrom, Walnut Creek, Ca.
And yet they claim there is virtually no inflation, or at most 7%. Janet Yellen makes me sick
I love this guy! he's so knowledgeable and well read.
I was born in July 1961and I remember Kennedys' funeral procession also on our big black and white console TV.
I still remember the moment our 5th grade teacher came back in the classroom in tears and told us the President had been killed. Burned into my memory. Yea. . . God save this nation.
"Hunker down, put away some gold & silver and hug your children...God Bless America 🇺🇸 "✅️💯🖖
I'm fortunate enough to have a shop nearby with this kind of vibe. It's nice to go in pick through coins and silver, and shoot the breeze with the owner about various subjects on the state of the world. Only difference is that the guy at my shop keeps his revolver in his desk drawer.
Love me some coin guy!!! These shops provide a valuable public service. Thank your local coin dealer today!
I've been keeping all my nickels whenever I get them in change for yrs. And I did buy a case of nickels from the bank about 10 yrs ago. And I keep all my pre 82 copper pennies as well.
Very interesting stuff. Back in the day, every women had to have a silver service set for entertaining their guests.
Isaac Newton took a position at the British royal mint to solve coin clipping. He had several people executed and came up with reeds as a solution. Interesting story.
Edge lettering was used on Spanish Dollars as well as the first U.S. Dollar and Half Dollar coins.
The U.S. Dollar edge was inscribed with _One Hundred Cents One Dollar or Unit_ and the Half Dollar read _Fifty Cents or Half a Dollar._
In Canada the pre 1982 nickels are definitely worth keeping those are pure nickel. Still found in circulation here and there.
Not all pre 1982 Canadian 'Nickels' were pure.
From mid 1951 through 1954 they were chrome plated steel as were the 1944 - 45. From mid 1942 through 1943 they were tombac.
Prior to 1922 Canada had a smaller five cent coin of silver / copper alloy.
This guy is great! You guys knocked it out of the park with this one! Subbed! :)
Thanks for joining the channel, Peter!
I have been buying Silverplate sets for 10 years, Service for 8 in the original box I get for around $50, I have 5 boxes now, I get them from estate sales and thrift stores. I use them for my Airbnb rental, gives a touch of class.
GUY IS SMART and kind just love him I get 883.00 to live on ssdi ...struggle bad please pray they increase our checks so we can live..I buy junk silver and morgans hoping they go up in value
Brilliant from here in the uk you are both talking a lot of sense
Love Guy. He is always full of history and information.
To have the knowledge and experience this man has would be a blessing wouldn't it ?
It would, Cecil!
Soliddddd vid my dude. I must say, the friendship between you & Coin Guy seems like it has truly blossomed into something special. Super genuine. Also, just keepin it real - I feel like if more ppl had a similar friendship in their life - maybe there'd be less mayhem in this wild world we live in! Anyhow, just wanted to drop a line, be well my brother! ✌ ✌
Thanks for your support, Nick!
Love the coin guy he's a great dude
I loved the Coin Guy when he played Archie Bunker!
Coin Guy is great. A lot of wisdom and very modest, there are not many men of his type around these days. Go Coin Guy!!
Why do the banks ask what you’re going to do with coin boxes?
Coin Guy for president!
Great interview, well articulated analysis of 'the mess the world is in .. that said we have sleep walked our way towards this reality.. instead of pursuing peace for the last 60 years (from Kennedy's assination) we engaged in an arms race with the Soviets which consumed $ and left a legacy of weapons.. it was inevitably that at some point in time they would be used..
Similarly we have known about the environmental and climate impacts of fossil fuels and petreulem products since the 1990's and had time to put in the infrastructure needed for a transition to renewables. But we carried on not as normal but increasing our use of oil and petreulem products.
As for money control.. it won't be long before cash is obsolete and every dime you earn and spend will be recorded.
We are about to enter a very dystopian future... one we could (and still can) have avoided..
What a great Guy! He’s becoming quite a celebrity!!!
I deposited 2k in 20s in my bank as a social experiment. Had taken it out of the atm over a few months. I was questioned numerous times how I came by the money…horrible. I guess having been a customer for 20 years is not long enough for them to get to know me.
Banks are required to be on the lookout for money laundering. They were doing their job.
A very enjoyable time listening in on and watching y'all's conversation!! Thanks for sharing with us.
Day trading silver! who knew! I love this guy.
Coin guy Shure knows what to survive on.. he doesn't look concerned but very prepared.. coin guy Shure knows about metals and history we could learn from him an old metals timer.. woow I wouldn't turn in my gold like those guys did when that happens am moving it far away from my home.. great video man very educational hope coin guy comes out again and educated us.
Love this channel and the content, always interesting and love your coin guy. Greetings from Scotland.
Thanks for watching, Craig!
30 minutes in - bring this tray into your wife on mothers day and you will get lucky - love it - and the response - my wife would yell at me - haha :) - great stuff
Great to watch and listen to the stories. Very interesting and informative. Lots to learn. It would be a lot to take in for anyone who has not been exposed to any of this. Glad I began collecting in 1960.
This video was just like hanging out on a Saturday. Love it!
i just love watching this man Full of knowledge and I learn something new every video Thanks Speg for bringing Guy to our households
Thanks for watching, Ricky!
Another great interview with Guy!
The main problem with silverplate is it's a real pain to clean. Can't polish it too hard, can't stick it in the dishwasher, and it slowly tarnishes. No one wants it regardless of how nice it looks. It's worth the scrap copper value of the base metal.
Having said that however, I picked up some spectacular silverplate goblets at an auction. They have all colours of the rainbow on them, as they were slowly tarnished by the packaging material. They look golden with rainbows on them. Dirt cheap too.
I'm SO right there with Coin guy on that platinum! I've sold silver that was $14 an ounce when I bought for almost $30 to get platinum at $37 a gram. A steal right now...Russia 12% of the production. Just a thought! Stay safe stack on! Peace from Kansas!
I've been storing up canned&dried foods since summer of 2020. Heck I haven't bought toilet paper since Jan2020 while people fought over it in March&April.
The Europeans got one thing right when they invented the bidet. We don't buy toilet paper anymore
"Tis Death to Counterfeit" That's what it said on Colonial Notes
Man, my wife would like that silver plate.
😂 downton abbey!!
Blank check, I forgot about that movie! Million dollar bike.
Rearden steal. Atlas shrugged won’t get rid of my copy. Long but good book.
Love the show! Great Saturday morning, now it’s time to get back to the books to make that coin grade recognition AI/ hardware/software interface. Or not.
coin guy is very informative. packed with info.

Oh that Gorham platter- swoon. I'd love to purchase it! Great video and just subscribed.
One hundred is a lot of videos. Thanks for the time with you and Coin Guy. It's always fun!
Should have guy bring in some of his gold that he has that he would never sell so we can see some really rare coins
❤️ Coin Guy! Coin Guy & Tim are my favorites. 👍🏽🤩⭐️
Sometimes the bank teller question older people, because they are watching for people scamming them.
thanks for keeping me posted on current events and history ☺️
Ok I just stumbled on this. This is awesome.
Love This ? Learning and The History is quite awesome. What a great Shop owner.

Thanks for watching, Escott Music!
have a wonderful spring. enjoy the COIN GUY
You are absolutely right on the banks don't like you to get your own money back. Not only did the banks make me sign a bunch of paperwork for it.. the government also contacted me trying to find out what I was going to spend my money on
Wow the coin guy is really cool. What a blessing to have such a knowledgeable and interesting guy to have as your local coin man.
An American Treasure! I would like to see a video each week. I learned so much!
Man, you guys covered a lot of ground there! Excellent video! Thank you to both of you!!
No kidding! Gotta spend a week in there to get the lowdown. Love it.
This is the kind of dude I wanna hang out with. He knows his stuff. Id like to see what he's got.
This coin dealer is just great...very informative...and knowledgeable.....
Everyone needs to read "Atlas Shrugged". It was required reading when I was in college during the stone age. Have read it 3 times in my life. I give it to kids as a graduation gift. If they read it, I give them $100. You only have to ask one question to verify they have read it. Who is John Galt? Which is the first line of the book. That was the final exam question for the Poly Science class I was taking.
Is that Ayn Rand? Came across that 10 years ago if so while researching something else and never got back to it.
@@kimchi_b Yes it is. It was published in the 50"s
@@silvertrucker2172 Many thanks! The Illuminatus! trilogy then! Very interesting it was required reading for you because when I found Ayn Rand I was only studying the occult messages in the British music industry and came across it. And now Coin Guy says it's coming true (as is most of the stuff I looked at back then). To be fair to the elites then, it's not like they didn't tell us! Also George Orwell 1984 and Animal Farm, and indeed H.G. Wells (evil fella) The Time Machine, even The Island of Doctor Moreau (forget who wrote that, probably Wells as it's another sick book). Anyway cheers, good wishes!
@@kimchi_b I was a Political Science major in college. We always had reading lists assigned for every class. Rand was a Russian citizen who had fled her country.
She wrote as a person with personal insight, and was a good enough writer to tell a compelling story, and keep the reader interested enough to complete a long, complex story. H.G. Wells was a favorite of mine through high school. Orwell was a good writer, but not really a favorite. I am still now an avid reader. The occult messages in the music industry sounds interesting. I never watched the Atlas Shrugged movie. Usually after reading a good book, the movie disappoints me.
@@kimchi_b Once you start Atlas you won't be able to put it down, so don't start reading before bedtime.
Couple months ago I was at a show and wanted a specific set. I had a set to trade in raw for the graded one I wanted. Dealer said he wanted my raw set and offered to buy it from me. Told him I wanted it graded and he walked to another booth, paid the guy for the set and walked back… I gave him my raw set and $100 bucks for the graded set. Right on the floor. (Speg) it was a local show here near Tampa… I was happy since I got the set for a fair price and and only cost me $100 more than I paid for the raw set to get MS69 set.
The change in composition from bronze to copper plated zinc for U.S. cents (pennies were British) occurred in mid 1982.
There are bronze and zinc 1982 cents. Bronze cents weigh 3.1 grams, zinc cents weigh 2.5 grams.
I agree! We can be self sustainable. Hence I try to buy as much local produce as humanly possible! And starting to grow my own. Guess I'll start buying flour next 😅
And @spectagular the painting you are thinking about is an etching(if memory serves me correct) by MC Escher. It might have been pen and inj
I love Coin Guy! We are on the same page!
