Dealer Sees What's WRONG with this Silver and Gold! Jewelry or Bullion--What would YOU Sell FIRST??

- In this video my bullion dealer shares some bad news with a gold and silver stacker in his coin shop. The seated liberty silver dollar she brings in is a fake! Several gold items are questionable too, including a gold wedding ring and other gold jewelry. The woman loves to stack silver and gold but needs to sell some of her bullion and jewelry for cash. She believes that the gold jewelry should be sold before the gold or silver coins. Do you agree? Would you sell your silver or gold jewelry before selling any silver or gold bullion? What does my bullion dealer, Tim Marschner of the Coin and Stamp Shop, think the price of gold should be now? Is it due for a pullback? Watch and find out! Never before has stacking precious metals been as important to do as it is today. Protect yourself from out-of-control governments, evil central banks, and the failing US dollar's grip as the world's reserve currency. Make sure you build a stack of silver rounds, silver bars, silver coins, and gold coins as essential barter and wealth preservation!

#Silver #Gold #FakeCoins
I was actually in Tim shop with my girlfriend Saturday, April 13 and she actually bought the 1/25 ounce Philharmonics gold coin that I believe is shown in this video! It was great meeting Tim. I’ll definitely be showing up there again.
What is the name of his shop ? I was trying to contact them to arrange a purchase. Would you know ?? Thnx.
I had to sell my 500 ounces of silver and 10 ounces of gold for a huge family emergency. Starting over again. 30 ounces of silver and 1 ounce of gold.
Good luck my friend and praying for your family 🙏🏾 I’m happy you had it there for the emergency. God bless you
Man that stinks...but at least you're right back at it.
Silver worth about 14 thousand , Gold worth about 23,000.....37,000.00 is that what you got back ?
Scottsdale mints 10 ounce stackers are my favorite silver bars in the market! For gold I stick with the Lady Fortuna by Pamp Suisse
Hope your situation is resolved.
First guy you interviewed about buying silver coins is a great american. Can already tell he keeps it real
As if you really know who that man is and what dwells in his heart.
Straight up! 🇺🇸
It's nice to see Tim back on the 'air.'
Something off putting about that woman….. I’ll be polite and leave it at that.
Sketchy as hell
The chap starting with silver ,, SPOT ON ! Totally agree with him .
This lady comes to sell gold jewelry and a silver bar because she said that she isn't working, but she's still getting coins in the mail......Lolololol.
Fishy
Super fishy. I think she might be a spy. Lol
All these people coming in are all sketchy as hell and making up stories. You can tell it’s not making sense
Did she say her future husband was a she? That might explain it.
The silver stacking community is so great.
Agreed! Super supportive community
Most people are pretty dumb, she didn’t like the bar because it had milk spots…
@@adventureswitheddie6444she never said its worthless, saying she dont like it because of milkspots is an opinion and does not make her stupid
@@tobybyrne3114 who did say it was worthless?…
@@tobybyrne3114 she also had a fake coin, but she’s not dumb
Excellent report
Tim was so patient with her. You could tell some of those items had a value to her. Great first boyfriend memories. Nice
More patient than me. She comes to the store with a pile of stuff and some she doesn't even want to sell... with her dog in tote..... all the while holding up customers there to do real business. I have little patience for people like that. Tim did a very good job but I could tell he was feeling it. Lol
@@beri232 he looks so annoyed when he sees the fake stuff
Hopefully that ex boyfriend earned that ankle bracelet 😂🤣😜
You mean, were her ankles around her ears?
@@stratcaptain66 I thought this was a "Family Show" 🤣🤣🤣
Hopefully her knees were by here ears
@@stratcaptain66
Even it it was stamped i'd be acid testing all that jewellery, where there is 1 fake there is more
As someone that buys gold and silver scrap jewlery I can attest. Never trust a mark or even a magnet. Acid test is the min and even then a thick enough plating can fool that. I am destroying the jewlery anyhow so I can do a good test but that is an issue if you're planning on actually wearing it again.
"Is it tarnished"
As she handles it with her bare hands 😂
It's not tarnished at all, those are milk spots.
Hmmm, holding onto my jewelry! Another great visit to Tim's! Thanks, Yankee!
Another great video Yankee and Mr. Tim. It was great to see you last week.
"It's all fake". funny Tim. Hey guys don't give this woman any jewelry it will end up in Tim's scrap bin. She was great I was teasing. Love the episode as always.
I’m always buying😊
Love the video. You and Tim are a great team!
Thanks for another great video
Ive stopped trying to sell my jewelry, its portable wealth in case needed. Now, i go to rummage sales with a lupe and pick it up on the cheap when possible.
Smart, you can wear the jewelry when traveling, can't carry a bunch of bullion.
Wealth, pirate style!
@@artjogowell kinda sort a. They check prices of worn jewelry also! Had customs bug us about a Rolex costing a tag
Not to argue with an elder who's been in the PMs business for so long, (even if he is a Yankee;), but I think what the market's doing right now IS the correction! And there's a lot of correcting to be done...decades of price-fixing to support a narrative are unraveling right before our eyes.
Thanks for sharing.
I was waiting for the results of all that gold and silver... at least a ballpark 🙂
One fake thing okay, but bringing in two fake things starts to smell a little fishy, and did he say the ring didn’t show signs of being worn?
The ring has no signs of worn and she says she wore it many years haha
I love that old school scale. Tim ain't going to digital 😂
You know what would be better than that?
A digital scale.
I hope this isn’t Tim’s Pawn Shop. Tim is so patient with these people, such a fine person.
"The best I can do is 20 Bucks. I have to make a profit" ;)
Love the videos
My grandpa‘s got me on to some of your videos I’m 16 and just got my first little bit of silver love your videos keep it up
Don’t sell your Jewelry you’ll never get close to what you paid. You should pass it on to kids or family members, at worst gifted to a friend your better off Then Selling. 🤷🏻♂️
This is a great video as always!
Great video Yankee. Tims knowledge and expertise is only surpassed by his patience and attention he gives to his customers What a gentleman he is. By the way MCII on the ladies ring is the Roman numeral for 1102.
1102... as in January 1st 2002? Or maybe November 2002?
Possibly,don’t know .
When Tim puts on his game face . .... he puts on his game face !
What that Bald Guy should have said was, “I just can’t afford it.” (But he thinks it’s too “expensive”)
Thats what I was thinking......LOL
He’s new. It’s a learning process
Yankee, greetings from the Netherlands. Always fun and interesting to watch Tim and yankee.
Thanks for another great video Yankee. I was so hoping that the ladies seated liberty was real but that's the reason we have to be careful with coins these days. There are several websites in China that sell that fake junk as the real deal but you know it's not because it's so cheap. Anyway, God bless you and Tim and hope you have a blessed week.
I will take that milk spotted scottsdale bar for 25 bucks... i mean it is all yucky looking now 😂
You are really making a difference in peoples lives! Great job!
Single woman who hit the wall and can't stand to be reminded about all of her poor decisions.
I'm going to guess from Yankee's reaction that he's a dog lover 😄
Yep. Our dog sadly died in 2020.
Who isn't. They are a gift from God-Dog.
Dogs will usually tell us how they feel too.
Awesome video Yankee.
I so wanted to see what she walked out with. Love the vids where there's customer interactions. Wanna hear the advice and know what they spent or sold for but maybe they don't want that on video. Thanks for another good one. Learned something, didn't know jewelry needs to be stamped with the karat. Thanks!
If you’re looking for a quick profit bullion is not the place to get it. I own it just because of the fact I don’t trust our currency for the long term. It’s more like insurance for me.
I love to come to Tim's ... its just a long way from the UK
Good afternoon guys!
I bought silver yesterday; a Morgan Dollar. I buy two every month, for four years now. No reason to stop.
I love Tim's scales
I like that tim uses the old school scale. I was a chef for over twenty years and I always brought my old scale similar to Tim’s to anyplace I worked at the time.
Omg...i love the stackers ... currently owe several. The only bars i buy are stackers, unless i get killer deals
I agree with you Yankee on slabbed modern bullion coins. I believe it is just a scam. Never buy them.
I mean I would never stack them but if there is a coin I want for the look of it to add one to my collection I am def. getting a graded slabbed ms70
Pls explain what is slabbed modern bullion. I am unfamiliar with this term.
If ur a collector the slabs are a different story. I have a number of ASEs and some Libertads, a couple others that will never bring any money back unless/until silver gets back to $50 or higher but that's not what I bought them for. Kids can figure it out, it's their dates for most part.
@@bochase6239 Modern bullion refers to recently minted sovereign bullion coins, like ASEs, Maples, Kangaroos, Britannias, Philharmonics, etc.
Such coins are very common and unlikely to ever have any collector value unless they have some specific flaw that makes them rare. Slabs are
plastic holders in which collectible coins come and typically they will be rated for their quality by NGC or PCGS. Ratings tend to me some sort
of mint state (MS) designation followed by a number. 70 is the highest MS rating with lesser attractive coins being given lower numbers.
Sometimes coins are rated as G for good, F for fine, VF for very fine, AU for almost uncirculated, and BU for brilliant uncirculated. These
ratings tend to be a less rigorous rating system than that used by NGC or PCGS.
@@bochase6239 newer graded coins in plastic cases
Too much “talking” from this female. I’m a female & if u ask me, don’t think she was there to buy or sell anything. Just wanted to know if “her jewelry & coins” were fake ! (she KNEW the coin was fake when she walked through the door🥴)
Could just be nervous, from selling her treasures and/or being filmed. Learned stuff from this regardless.
I just purchased a 1854 seated liberty dollar XF at auction for $2700. Weights correct and is not magnetic. Brought it to my coin shop the next day and it failed the Sigma tester. 100 percent counterfeit!! Now I have to try to get my money back
I got burned using magnet test with gold necklace. Only a few hundred though...
Scrap jewelry is starting to get hot around here. We're seeing more people selling, but more that are buying it because it has the best premiums. Last week a friend of mine got wise to this and bought a nice used 14k box chain that she plans on wearing. For her it's not only fashion but a store of value.
Good choice, IMO. Paying for goods with a link or two from a gold chain could be very handy during hard times. Just be sure not to remove the tiny
tag that says 14k or 18k on it because if that is missing, the buyer will naturally see it as 14k, if not 10k, which would not be good for the seller.
Honestly it’s easier to differentiate fake jewelry from fake coins
@@boutstaxx coins are easier, you just ping them, 1 minute
The ring was McClelland and McTeigue jewelers in Great Barrington MA. They split up a few years ago and now it’s just McClelland. They went by MC II or MC squared
Haven't seen a triple beam scale since HS late 70s.
Use them for reloading all the time.
I like that people who couldn't afford Gold are wise enough to buy Silver instead. No need to follow the crowd and chase price momentum
Tim should get a KEE gold and platinum jewelry tester like jewelry shops use. I first saw one one Silver Dragons at Harry's Coin Shop in Oregon. It tells what karat gold the item is.
Thanks for the tip. I'm looking at one right now just to have one
I can't believe he doesn't have a jewelers loupe and a digital scale
@mkay00700 I can’t believe you haven’t seen Tim’s digital scale in prior videos!
How much do they cost? I only buy from “legitimate” companies but I wouldn’t doubt that I have a fake in there. My biggest issue with buying the stuff. I only pray the gold I have is real.
I have a 10 oz Una and the lion and it is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! Most of all I love the message that's in Latin that says May God direct my steps! It is my motto!
Nice Video
Do an upstairs podcast there 24 hour auctions questions showings
Hey Yankee and Tim
🥈
I only consider melt price.
I bought the Una 10 Oz after watching the Royal Mint interview nice bar
MCII = McTeigue & McClelland (Located in Great Barrington, MA). Now closed, I think. Business was dissolved Dec 2022.
Tim’s the best
Now is the time to buy Silver and Gold and the prices will go up for the next 10+ years so keep buying !🎉
The lady started to learn something
I understand needing to sell and picking jewelry. That's probably what I'd do too if I had any amount of jewelry. Thanks, Yankee!
If you have jewelry to sell, see if you can find a private person to buy it at spot. Because a dealer will only pay below spot. I buy jewelry from friends at spot when they say they are going to scrap it. Then I hang onto it or wear it or flip it on eBay.
Another interesting customer, she was down to earth. Made the video better.
Great question on Gold. I agree with Tim. It's due a correction/200-day.
Geopolitics being in the mix....Gold will pull back just like we keep seeing the yo-yo in crypto currency.
Patience is the name of the game with Gold!
They didn’t let silver keep climbing. They don't want it to hit $30---Yet!
great times in Tim's shop...much info to pass around as we stack or use precious metals as our own bank to use as needed as we cost average...one thing to consider... an adage...Buy low and sell high...wouldn't it make sense to sell gold to get silver..for silver to double it only has to go from $ 28.50 to $ 57.00...for gold to double it would have to go from $2380. to $ 4760...Yankee, take a poll and ask people which they think will happen first ...in light of Middle East tension..Ukraine having fallen to Russia in all practical terms, the fibbing of the government with respect to real inflation interest...they say 2-3%...been to the market lately...how has your (anything insurance company...medical, auto, house or automobile) kept their premiums at 2% ( a little sarcasm here)...Thanks Yankee..Divin Doc.
Nice dog.👍
Tim should eo like my LCS and charge customers like that for appraisals
Off the path question. I think the Race track in Austin for a particular race only admits package deal tickets. The restaurants and hotels basically are selling these expensive packages. So, if You went to the Grand Prix instead with the strategy to stay in a friend’s house or rented a house for a weekend, can You even get into the gate?
That lady seems pretty sharp. I like her idea of getting rid of jewelry from the past, and moving to today. My spouse passed in 2016 after 35 years together. I have my wedding rings, as well as several other rings, bracelets, and necklaces I don't wear at all, just sitting in a box. I think it's time to let go, and trade it for some silver to add to my stack. Maybe have a couple rings melted down and have a new ring made using the diamonds. Something new I will wear. I know a jeweler I went to school with and graduated high school with her. She made a ring for my 30th anniversary from a drawing.
The lady in the store is absolutely right about buying slabbed bullion coins. Just a waste of money. I have bought a few slabbed silver eagles, but they were gifts for other people to commemorate a particular year in their lives.
I also bought one of the Una and the Lion bars, I got the silver 10 ozt bar.
Today I ordered a tube of 125th anniversary of the Perth Mint silver dollars, nice looking coins with a koala, kangaroo, and kookaburra on one side, and Charles on the other side. Myself, I would have preferred the queen, but I didn't get a vote on that.
Oh yeah, I was looking for that Yankee magnet too.😊
I would like it checked for authenticity but jewelry is the last that would part with. Least likely to be confiscated
Lmao crocs and wool socks hahaha 😂
Great video
He just made a short drive. I'd have to fly down. 4000 miles.
Wish I could handle it. Too old now.😂
Anyone know where the shop is? Would love to make a trip from nyc there!
A fact many 'stackers' should note is...Gold has Never been Less than 59x more expensive than Silver...currently that ratio is around 83x more expensive than Silver. Those alive today will be very unlikely to Ever see Silver match Gold in value, and or, desirability.
I wish I only had an hour and a half drive to Tim's!! 🤣 I'd be there more than Yankee !!
Agreed! It's closer to a week and a half from here. lol
🤣🤣 I feel ya !!
her eyes are up there.
Looking at the box, and the price sticker on the Herringbone bracelet, I would bet it's not real, at the best, it's plated.
One of the reasons why I never buy any Scottsdale stacker products is because you cannot encapsulate them, leaving them exposed which is good for nothing then.
Yankee needs to bring a live fife and drum band into Tim’s shop
😂😂🤣
❤ no magnet! ❤
It's a really bad time to find out your stuff is fake.
Buy low sell high
Hard to buy small amount of shopping with small $400 dollar gold coin but $30 dollar silver bullion coin will work nicely.
good answer, it's due for a correction. but it's going to 3k after that, lol.
Hey Yankee
Stoneham here
She tried 😂
Awkward
This is why jewellery stores is iffy also
nick reminds me of clint eastwood
Curious how that seated dollar would interact with a magnet.
All these mints that have produced coins that have unsightly milk spots, and should honor an even exchange - some of us bought these as numismatics others just bullion. Either way milk spots = a loss, even if the price of silver explodes. Milk spots turn your coins into cull!
Only on nusmatics but still silver bullion
Been stacking since 05 every now n then when I get a wild hair I’ll sell silver and spend it at the gentleman’s club cause I’m a gentleman
HA! second! Personal best.
She's cool. : )
Hey Yankee, maybe you should be hitting up Tim for a percentage . LOL
Oh no! This has been mutually beneficial!
Let’s go!
I assumed jewelry would be bought by a pawn shop, not a coin dealership.
Not 1st.
