- Silver has gone over $24 an ounce! Gold is pushing $2000! In this video, I visit Coin Guy's shop in Spring Hill, Florida and we speak about current events and the fun but crazy precious metals markets in 2020. Guy shows me some of his paper money collection and also some of his rare gold coins from his personal (and not for sale) collection. The man loves his history and he gives us a lesson in history while showing some awesome coins and collectibles. Thank you for watching!

Who thinks the coin guy looks a little bit like Archie Bunker? Another very good video from the two of you 👍
Agreed
Yes and just as cool!
He has to be Archie's twin brother.
He looks like the Skipper from Gilligan’s Island. Him and his little buddy should take a two hour cruise.
Yes
Everyone asks... "If only coins could talk". Coin Guy tells the stories. That's why he's so interesting. Can't get enough of Coin Guy. Thanks Speg!! 😀
coins would have alot of dirty stories. they've seen too much ...
Thanks Speg for bringing Coin Guy to us ! History that he knows off the top of head amazes me !!! I often replay some videos because it's entertaining & want to absorb from him !!! I haven't made my way back up to the store and need to. Took my mom with me, but sign in door said closed call #. Thats how I learned he had Covid + in hospital. He answered phone himself ! Sick as he was, still answered phone !!! Amazing man !!! We coild 🙏 pray for him once we knew! Again, thanks Speg for sharing Guy and Daniel & so much with us like this. ❤
I could listen to him all day. What a treasure. I so wish I lived near his shop.
Yeah I like this guy he's cool and knowledgeable y50 some thumbs down makes no sense these people
I know it's cool coin some guy at the tenth ounce Eagles eBay red writing all over the two by twos drives me crazy it was full of little comments and writing
@SpegTacular you should do more interviews with him (maybe like monthly on a Sunday when the shop is closed)
Coin guy is by far my favorite content on your channel....what a good guy
Thanks Mr Guy for showing us your personal collection and sharing the fascinating history. As a New Yorker that still works downtown. We check out a couple shows a year (before Covid). Ok seats are $250 (unless purchased via TKTS), the train round trip is $30 (from NJ) and dinner for 2 with a couple glasses of wine $130. Total of $430. They have priced us, the working class out of dinner and a show. When I was a kid in the 70’s & 80’s my family would go to a show, go to Mama Leone’s, Beefsteak Charlie’s or Katz for dinner and the grand total including transportation would be $80-$100 for a family of 3.
“History is to be learned from, not to be pulled down”. 💕
The MEEK shall inherit the Earth!
Excellent! A big Thank You to the Coin Guy for sharing all of this with us!
Glad you enjoyed it
I absolutely love these interviews!!
Keep them coming!
I have been collecting coins and banknotes for a year here in Brazil, and I find your videos very spontaneous and that adds a lot of numismatic content to the entire community of coin, banknote and precious metal collectors.
Congratulations!
Awesome, thank you!
Every coin guy chapter gets better and better, god bless that guy and you too Jesse for sharing something so special. Btw that collection is SO COOL.
There were approximately 14,000 banks were issued charters for the 1929 national banknotes, and were used to stimulate the economy during the Great Depression. And yes,the 1929 Federal Reserve Banknotes( of which there are 12)go for less. The Gold Reserve Act of 1934 followed FDR's Executive order 6102,and it changed the price of gold from $26.07 to $35.I love the history of paper currency and it was nice to see Coinguy talk about it.That 1902 Boston Harbor national banknote is cool, just because of the history of the Boston Tea Party at that Harbor
It’s been said before and I will say it again, I can’t get enough of Coin Guy! I love the history lessons! Thanks Speg!
Man spectacular I love these videos with coin guy he knows his stuff love his patriotism reminds me of my father wish I was in Florida I’d love to meet him and you both always a learning session with him and you keep these videos coming.
Thanks for another wonderful video of your visit to The Coin Guy. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip back in time as he went over his personal collection. Makes me love the hobby even more. Well done.
I appreciate the fact that you both try to keep the politics out of it unless it's relevant and even then just enough to keep it in context. It's hard to do, especially nowadays. I could watch this guy all day, love it!
politics are hot right now of course...and I have many opinions but usually they're not that important because they're just my opinion....I don't hate you for yours but I don't expect you to hate me for mine either and I don't expect either of us to change our minds ;)
Who knew Cleopatra was related to Alexander the Great and the Justinian plague, I never heard of that in school. That came 1000 years before the famous black death from the 1300s and it was just as deadly.
@@Spegtacular As long as my silver and gold double in price, I am good.
I like this guy , he actually thinks about the people that handled these coins and their lives. I metal detect and find all kinds of stuff but I always spare a thought for those that dropped their coin and maybe how much that loss affected them
Mr Guy, thank you for the incredible knoledge of history. The coins are a reminder of times gone by. And what you said st the end about history is to learn from not to tear down. God bless you
Coin guy Is solid gold!!! Love all your videos spectacular but the ones with Colin guy or just above and beyond I just love the history. Please don’t stop!🤩👌🤩
I LOVE Coin Guy. I could listen to him talk all day. This should be a weekly segment on your channel.
A legit Brasher Dubloon sold on Heritage Auction for something like 4 million dollars recently, it's just crazy a coin could go for so much money but when it's MS62 (or 63 I forget) and over 200 years old I guess it makes sense somehow. If I had the money I would buy extremely rare old coins like that, they always seem to go up in value over the years.
I wish Coin Guy lived on the West coast near Las Vegas, would love to see more of his currency and buy some. You guys are awesome, keep on stacking and stay safe!
This makes my day! No fun being at work on a Sunday morning, but I'll get to check out another great vid by Guy and Speg. Thanks gentlemen!
Im in tampa ...this guys 55 mins away...i wanna call first n visit sometime. Glad to see this video. Thx.

Totally enjoy these visits!
Always interesting discussions. Thanks for taking the time.
Thanks for listening
I can remember buy gold in the mid 2000’s for around 350-400 range, prices are so crazy now not even 15 years later.
Prices aren't crazy. The debasement of your fiat currency is crazy. ;)
1998 i paid $255 oz fold and 3 100 oz silver bars no one wanted $620 each.
Thank you Spegtacular, I thoroughly enjoyed hearing the history of Coin Guy.
I had to re-watch this, great coin shop talk and full of knowledge.
Absolutely great Guy. Heading back to see him this week.
What state is his shop ?
@@boss02052000 spring fla north of tampa
I find it's really rare to have a coin shop dealer so personable and excited about his job.. the coin shops near me are pretty standoffish for the most part and I wish there were more coin guys around the world.
I loved the story of Him being stated out to rob. They robbed a different coin shop, ASked why did you not rob the coin Guy, Are you crazy They had Guns.....Well said, lesson learned.....
It’s great to listen to regular down to earth guy talking about this stuff..makes a refreshing change.

Having just stumbled onto your channel, I've been binge-watching your stuff. I enjoy these little visits to "The Coin Guy" most of all. I'd like to see more ancients, which is what I like collecting, along with oddball U.S. type or older coins in general.

Wow. I wasn't expecting this! Great show.
Me neither
Glad to see that gun. God bless
Such a generous man.something to aspire to be!
I never get tired of listening to Coin Guy.
That price of $11.91 means nothing when they raise the premiums to outrageous levels and you can't find anything to buy.
If you bought at the premium at around $14 when spot was $11.91 you'd still be up by $10 today, so there was an opportunity
It was more like $20/oz. including premiums when spot dropped to $11/oz. They use the premiums to discourage new money coming into physical; it seems like you’re getting scammed, but it is spot price that is a scam.
That guy is kool as hell, could listen to his stories for hours!
Thanks for another great video!
What a great "GUY" Keep them coming!
like the show and what can be strong days for silver or gold... appreciate this video "many"!

Germany's got its gold back. The country's central bank announced Wednesday it has completed a program to repatriate gold bars worth nearly $31 billion from storage locations in New York and Paris. ... The final 100 tons were moved from Paris earlier this year, the central bank said.Aug 23, 2017
