There's an error in the music theory section at 9:06
It's support to be
D minor
I - ii - bIII - iv - v - bIV - bIIV
F Major
I - ii -iii - IV - V - vi - vii
(forgot the b's in minor and there isn't support to be a b on major)
This error will forever haunt my dreams and I have brought my music theory teachers shame.
But most of you don't watch the videos for the theory, so that's fair, lol.
some lines/jokes were co-written with Molly from Discrot before they left. a lot of re-writes and line changes happened so a lot got lost/confused in the shuffle.

Guys!! That was awesome!!! 😃😃
Didn't expect to see you here lol
wtf tommy??
No way
Did not expect this comment :-D
hot beef FTW!!
"I'll take the demo to Nuclear Blast" Legit made me spit my tea!
After I've listened to the song I had literally no doubts that this will happen :D
Don't forget Napalm Records
@@timothyissler3815 AFM would be a solid third attempt
@@timothyissler3815 Napalm will take just about anything and I do mean ANYTHING. Christopher Bowes, singer of Alestorm, literally did shit called Christopher Bowes and his Plate of Beans.... Napalm Records released it
Same!
you cannot be in a bad mood while listening to power metal. that's just science
that's why I love power metal so much
Awesome video!
Thanks Nikolas Nocturnalson!
Nik, why are you everywhere I go? EVERYWHERE?!?
Yo you like same CZcamsr che out there folk punk and murder folk vids and pizza thrash this channel is epic
The song slaps. It's better than many unironicall songs lol
Unironicall Power Metal? Since when?
@@fishymachine Most Power Metal from before 2010 took itself extremely seriously. Even if the image was over the top and ironical, the music was always dead serious.
Might also be why all of the modern "satire and obviously a joke Power Metal" bands kind of suck. The fact that they are just doing it for fun and as a joke also creeps into the music itself.
@@Melodeath00 bullshit, Nanowar of Steel are great.
A metal head friend told me once - the worse the cover the better the metal. And it’s absolutely true for power metal. You can put cheese upon cheese and it will just work beautifully. Fantastic video!
also true of old school death metal demos.
Wow, dich hab ich hier nicht erwartet. Schönes Crossover meiner chaotischen Musikvorlieben. xD
Your friend will love Metal Disease
So... Tape loop power metal when? 👀
@@Elenuay Hainbach sounds like a german metal band.
Pagefire goes satirical and tries to make a fun Power Metal song; and makes another serious entry into the genre...
Absolutely brilliant!
It’s honestly less ridiculous than a good 30% of the genre
@@evilemuempire9550and it's still dope af
To quote my favourite Nanowar song :
"Sit down all you little children
Listen well to me
I'll tell of Blind Guardian
Dragonforce and Rhapsody
To listen to their songs
You need to know a lot of things
And read at least seventy times
The "Lord Of The Rings""
If you can make this vocalist the main singer for nekkonomicon you guys would conquer the world. Him, plus the female singer would print money.
So let me get this straight:
anime references - check
Vtuber references - check
Japanese bands references - check
Yes it is official, How to make Kawaii metal is definitely happening
bad idea
Please no
MURMAIDERMURMAIDERMURMAIDERMURMAIDER
Plus cute girls on vocals...🤔
Just don't take it too far and do what Riffshop did where they went WAAAAYYYY too far and made that uWu song.
Seeing Sir Christopher Lee on 10:55 makes me miss him now. Not only he was a good actor, but a good ol' metalhead in his early 90s.
Imagine having friends to play DnD with...
Or just in general, imagine having friends...
Oof size:L A R G E
and imagine having a friend that is also a girl!.

Why is this so needlessly good?
I'm just surprised they managed to find a real dragon
it's cgi...
Pagefire definitely rolled a 20 on this vid
if there's a legal limit to the number of cliches a single tune can have, you surely surpassed it. incredible work
You clearly haven’t spent much time in power metal
Epic, like the journey Conan took to go through barber school and become “Conan the Barbarian.”
I thought he was a talk-show host
"If Manowar doesn't put you in a good mood, you have no soul". Worth the upvote alone.
Powerwolf, Rhapsody, Nightwish, Blind Guardian, Ayreon and a whole slew of bangers of bands! Respect gained [insert power metal version of the San Andreas Mission Passed theme]
I think a power metal version of the battle winning jingle from Final Fantasy would fit as well.
This is hilarious but also accurate and respectful to the genre and the fans. Thanks for the laughs.
This is why Power Metal is the best music in the world. It's all about fun and love for the music and it doesn't take itself grave seriously! And it's so full of amazing musicians and singers it's ridiculous! Absolutely love this video btw. Thank you Andri! I remember telling you a few months ago how much I wanted this video and man did you deliver 😁😁😁😁🎵🎵🎵
That song at the end was SO cliché but awesome!
Holy shit xdd
Another reason why i Love the cheesiest of Bands, like Gloryhammer
Not really. I admit. I like some power metal songs but I couldn't stand listening to a power metal album. It's just too boring for me
@@walalng I agree, to a point. It depends on the band and album, and my mood. Some bands I can only listen to a bit at a time, and others I can listen to loads of it.
While I enjoy most everything in the metal genre, Power Metal is what makes me the most happy. This month has sort of been a shit show, with my grandfather passing away from covid unexpectedly, it's been rough. Seeing something so fun, so very much in the spirit of the genre (as is trademark, y'all are badass like that) has helped to heal my soul a little bit. I feel honoured to live in a world in which passion projects like this channel can exist and be shared with others. Keep doing what you're doing, because you are fantastic, and genuinely talented as a musician. You clearly have a love for the types of music you cover and continually open me (and probably many others) to areas of the metal genre we wouldn't otherwise look.
Dude, I'm sorry to hear that. Hope everything gets better. The power 🤘of power metal has helped me out trimendously, too.
Idea for a next video: "How to make grunge"
This is the best How To Make yet: history lesson, music theory lesson, humor, production values, and a song masterclass that does a damn good job of explaining how Dragonforce rose to prominence. i've been patiently waiting for Power Metal to take its turn on the HTM carousel, and I must say it's been worth it.
Damn, Craig really delivered and made this song whole! Not that it was in any way bad, but the vocals took it to a new level!
Well, to be honest, Andri never disappoints us with an astonishing song. I really like power metal and symphonic metal, and this song is definitely on my list of best songs ever.
"Kings, Queens and Themperors"
I don't even listen to power metal but thank you SO FUCKING MUCH for that one
That moment years into watching Pagefire's "How to" videos you realize you not only have laughed a lot but actually learned a lot. Thanks Pagefire. Because of Pagefire I was able to start a Post Punk Apocalyptic Power Doom Noise Porno Grind Gore Death Band
"Wait, what's a dragon?"
"Dragon these nuts!" *dab*
I died
Dammit, Andri is making me learn music theory by disguising it as a video about my favorite sub-genre.
Drinking game unlocked, drink and smoke every time he says dragon
This is legit awesome, we need an album, I need to know what happens when the group flies the dragon to Nuclear blast and gives them the demo. You can't just blueball us like this
This is glorious. I like everyone of your "how to...", but this is easily amongst your best.
3:58 showing Band-Maid some love. Nice.
Need to listen to their main project, really liked their maiko joke lol
You know that we need a 7 hour anthology of your journey to take "the one song" to Nuclear Blast... Hey, no pressure, we can wait...like 2 weeks or so...
I love how both you and Stevie T. both made parodies of Power Metal, and unironically made good Power Metal songs.
I love Power Metal. It's the only music genre that it's a parody of itself.
That's only really a thing that started happening the past 10 years. Most of the best Power Metal was made during the 90s and 00s, a time when the genre took itself extremely seriously.
That was part of the appeal for me, a bunch of dudes singing about dragons and wizards, while being dead serious about it. Sure, it was tongue in cheek, but they always took it very seriously, and even if the band had a satirical image, there was never any question about the music being serious.
That's the main problem with the new parody bands. Their music also sounds like a dumbed down parody of the genre.
@@Melodeath00 Completely agree!! It's really funny how mainstream manages to make people think that one of the musically most sophisticated genre has anything to do with parody. This is very paradoxical! What a kick in the teeth for bands like e.g. Blind Guardian, who literally created one of the most valuable (and of course serious) music of our time. If these mainstream inundation phenomenons of modern time go on like this, they might become the first Bachs and Beethovens in history, that will be overlooked/forgotten over time.
@@stefanozundl-marx6387 I like how creative power metal can be when it is taken seriously, I mean Van Canto make jokes about their music but what they do is honestly impressive. I saw an interview of the lead guitar singer playing riffs on his guitar and then singing them afterwards and he explains how he writes riffs for Van Canto. Or that sometimes it is the opposite where he will sing a riff because he doesn't have a guitar nearby and transcribe it to guitar later for his other band, that is some serious skills that he taught himself for a silly acapella power metal band.
I was always in a Death Metal group and I even play in a bunch of dm/grindcore bands, but power metal is still my favourite genre. I mean DnD meets metal, how can you not like it?
I guess people just feel the need to be negative. They see people enjoying a thing, and wanna shit all over it. It's quite sad.
That could have been a fucking Stratovarius song, great job!
Best Brazilian Power Metal: Angra, they're the ones who did the Brazilian version of the Knights of Zodiac Opening theme song
Power metal, memes, high quality parody and mistake in musical theory. This video has everything I wanted to see =D
this was the most accurate power metal video i have ever seen; amazing work!! hilarious script, good info, and killer track \m/. also sick Nyanners tee ✨
I was the happiest man alive when you mentioned Avantasia. Without doubt one of my favourite and probably one of the best power metal band ever because Tobias Sammett takes every other power metal band and mixes them together. IT'S AWESOME!!!!!!
Ok, that settled it. Going straight to Patreon to become a member. You guys totally shred and deserve all the support I can give!
As a Powerwolf and Sabaton fan, I can say that I 100% agree with this video
i saw grailknights live a couple months ago. one of the most hillarious and fun shows ever. also their singer used to be my brothers music teacher ;)
Amazing song and full of nostalgia! Just made me remember the good times when I was discovering metal with bands as Blind Guardian, Nightwish and Angra :D
It’s not just fantasy, they also sing about sci-fi, but this song was really good.
Andri and the entire PF Team *are literally taking it to the next level with this masterpiece of a track.* ❤
You never know what genre to expect from a Pagefire concert !!
You right
Legendary.
Well done folks. This brightened my day to angelic heights.
I’m un-ironically using “kings, queens, and themperors” now. I love that 💜
This may now officially be the best channel on CZcams
"Jim, we need to come up with a new song, what should we write about?"
"Let me tell you about this rad mural I saw airbrushed on a van once."
God, i love power metal
Dude, you just taught me something I never realized when creating songs, and you did it in less that 1 minute. Relative keys. Holy crap, this changed everything for me lol.
I really, really enjoyed this one. Tobias Sammet would be proud, I'm pretty sure. The only funny thing: nobody used Go, Go Power Rangers theme!!
Well they DID mention the Grailknights...
;)
This is easily my favorite video of yours. Stellar work
I'd love to be a power metal singer, but I'm also a big whiskey lover.
So I'll stay with my Lemmy vocals.
Ok you videos are usually on genres I'm not too too familiar with, this one I'm quite familiar with and really enjoyed all the jokes and jabs. Also makes me not feel so bad for shelling out as much as I did for 15 power metal albums, knowing that all of said artists show up in here.
Also very glad I wasn't the only one to be in utter shock when listening to Rhapsody of fire and Christopher Lee came on.
Edit: also as usual your parody cover was good enough to be legit.
Well. A genre by nerds, for nerds, and poked fun at by nerds. A very self aware genre.
Craig Cairns is a great vocalist... my god...
Check out Induction, his band, super great
You guys bring me joy 🔥
I think this be my most favorite vid so far
I love how they always take the piss out of the genre and have a ton of fun doing it, and still come out with a cracking banger of a tune at the end.
i mean, power metal is all about having fun.
This is so ridiculously good it’s insane! Just love this channel, you guys are awesome! That song is amazing! And Andri, you should do some sort of music theory class, I’d love to dig deeper into it with you guiding the way! And I’m sure there’s more people who’d love to see that
I can already tell this is going to be awesome
Fantastic video! This one is definitely in my top 5 favorites!
I think I'm just gonna rewind and watch it again lol
Holy shit, you guys really outdid yourselves with this one :) It's obvious you have a lot of love for the genre
the production quality on your vids is skyrocketing! this is awesome!
Always great to see another of these
without doubt the best thing ive seen on yuotube in months, epic(a) :)
I feel like I watched you guys in your natural habitat lol. Such a banger of a video gj!
Had I heard this song detached from the rest of the video I 100% would have just...accepted it as "yep, a power metal band did that"
Which I consider a definite A+
As a former Power metal Drummer, I can confirm this is 100% true.
And if you disagree, I'll fight you with my replica fantasy sword and D20.
The song was incredibly cheesy but also a genuinely good power metal tune. 😂 I really liked the humor in the rest of the video, too.
KEEP POWER METAL ALIVE ! ✊😃
This one made my GM come back and made me renew my gym subscription.
Awesome! Maybe next you could do how to make Hyperpop?
Omg the dragon 🤣🤘 Great episode and damn good song!
I needed this laugh, spot on and well made!
A grand tutorial, as always.
Thank you Pagefire!
Dude, you all had way too much fun making this video.
I love it!
Oh god, it's so good you guys. Definitely my favorite, next to the Nintendo core one. Which also just perfect. Top notch stuff. Excellent job. I'm jamming this for a week.
This video is a combination of all the jokes I've made in my life about Power Metal (genre I love, by the way), like how all the lyrics are 'Fliying high to the sky, destiny, bla bla bla', but of course with the extra work of filming a video and even producing a song for the occasion.
You have a new subscriber!
Can confirm, this is how you make power metal. I see steps of my process in here (and then some)! 🤣
Popped up on recommended videos. Subscribe ten minutes in. This is glorious. Excited to explore this channel with my metal friends.
crazy how good the songs are every time at the end :D love it
2 and a half minutes in I'm like "Yeah, I'm subscribing to this."
Glad i found this video! Got a new youtube series to binge. Spot on and hilarious.
You've made another masterpiece!
Great as usual, I love this series
Love your videos!!!
The Algorithm did a good thing tonight and provided me with this genuinely entertaining summation of Power Metal as a genre, the composition therein and a wondrous song with every single trope being hit! THANK YOU for this and I look forward to consuming more of the content you've made!
Extra credits for the Wintersun wristband. And damn, that‘s a fantastic video. „All the bright colours of Dio‘s Rainbow“ made me shed a (small and very manly) tear.
Magnificent! Absolutely floored how many elements you captured into one song and made it ROCK! (Now back to pretending I don't know what power metal is).
That was amazing. Thank you!
A video has not made me belly laugh like this is the longest time. This video was a definite nat 20! There's only a handful of bands on there I haven't listened to and now you gave me something to do at work
This video is great! amazing job.
I am not gonna lie, the music video is pretty awesome! The dragon fight is epic! Who knew a birds eye view camera shot can make a low budget video look like an epic fight!
Absolutely nailed it, you accurately described why I love power metal so much.
