Ja first said he wished he played in MJ’s generation and would have liked to have played against him. Then, the Memphis Grizzlies' star followed it up by saying quote, “I would have cooked him. There's a clip on CZcams where Kobe talked about the time he guarded Jordan during their first matchup. Kobe was guarding Jordan out on the baseline. Kobe said Jordan spun and drove the ball to the rim for a layup or dunk (can't remember which). Kobe said MJ moved so fast that he didn't even have time to react. Kobe said he knew the move was coming, as he had seen it so many times on TV. But to Shannon's point. It's one thing to see it on tv, but it's another to witness it up close and personal. I don't think many of these guys today truly understand just how different MJ was.

I remember the first time I ever saw Indy cars in person for the first time. At the time Danica Patrick was on the circuit. I thought before this day she was nothing more than a gimmick. People forget just how great of a defender he was, mostly because of how amazing he was offensively. MJ was arguably the greatest wing defender of his generation. 9x All Defense First Team and led the league in steals 3 times at better than 2 steals a night for his career. He was also a surprisingly good shot blocker.

But I guess young Mr, Marsh just started watching NBA basketball. Less notable that those two though are Jerry Stackhouse and Isiah Rider. Comments like that are from one who has seen little of what Jordan did on the court. Jordan had an entire league gunning for him, and he became the absolute last person opposing teams wanted to guard in the last 5 seconds of a tie game......a legend for a lot of reasons....MJ is THE legend.....earned every year he played....
jordan was a 9 time first team all nba defensive and a defensive player of the year and offense it gets even better.
