  • Dominique Wilkins spoke with The Athletic about what it was like to play against Michael Jordan, and one story stood out. On a night when Jordan dropped 61 points in a loss to the Atlanta Hawks, he apparently went into their locker room before the game and warned his opponents quote: 'Lace them up. It's going to be a long bleeping night.' Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe discuss what Wilkins' story tells them.

I saw most of them live and I followed MJ from UNC because I've always been a Tarheel. And if you missed the games, they were reported on the news the next day. There was nights MJ had bad shooting but not many and his defense was always there. My point was nobody questioned his efforts because he had no quit in him even if they were down by 20 with a minute to go. I've seen other superstars give up on their teams or save some for the next game and rest up or whatever the excuse was.
