I match into a game with Ziggylata and when I was surrounded and wildly swinging I accidentally killed him. My crowning achievement in Chiv 2.
i got a kill on him when tenosia dropped
played with him maybe a week ago or so... he was on my team for 1 match so i cant claim bounty on him. but i did get a shout out in "Ziggy, in case you're streaming: I LOVE YOU MOM!"
then someone types "he mutes chat when he streams" lol im like "FUCK!"
Manage to stab him (or an impersonator) in the back with a Falchion once in Rudhelm

Nice to see you upload videos again. Sure would like them to roll updates more often to quell some of the 24/7 doomsaying, because I actually really like this game and wish I had more stuff to do in it for the time until they inevitably add the heavy crossbow and it gets irrevocably ruined forever.

I just realized, a way to maybe make defense a little more palatable would be to improve the AI of the Levy Peasants, maybe if they tempered the AI so they’re more of a threat it could kinda offset the one sided-ness of being offense vs defense without completely changing the game mode

Is there a reason you have your shield on your back most of the time?
at 2:10 what did your opponent do? How did he twist one way then quickly spin and then strike the other?
He did an overhead, then feinted it into a slash, then rotated his character around the long way while doing the slash.
Hey Ziggy, it's TheMemesofLife from that Tenosia match a few nights earlier. I hope me asking when your next upload would be didn't pressure you or anything. Anyways, love the content! Also a good video idea would be to compare the Messer and the Greatsword and which one you consider to be better.
I'll try to get uploads out weekly but try not to hold it against me, I'm doing it all myself.

Also, Messer and Greatsword are so similar that it's borderline preference but the Messer is a bit better.

I struggle against this weapon with my greatsword. Do you have any tips against the rapier?
Be aggressive and keep it simple, or use your superior range and bait an approach. It'll be hard no matter how you spin it.
@@Ziggylata may be i have bias because i am longsword simp or its was unlikely coincedence, but rapier players never pose a threat to me like at all at least in duels. I beat like hundred or so in all my dueling time in this game/
what sensitivity do you play on? i cant tell if its super high or youre dragging your hand like 2 feet each drag
Default (2.85 or something) but my mouse has 3200 dpi.
Can you please explain to me why you dont use the shield with the Rapier? Should I not be using my shield also?
Shield is as useful as it is a liability. It has limited durability and you get stunned when it breaks and when it breaks, you also dont have it to block projectiles if you need to.

my mouse be broken aswell, since i use the side buttons (mb4/5) for stab and overhead it sometimes just confuses them for a normal mb1 slash, pretty frustrating since you can't chamber effectively.

I love the rapier so much, I put together a conquistador outfit and whenever I select it, i turn off auto sprint. It's such a good weapon

@@delboy-su3wf I guess, i mean if it did more damage it would be over powered. Have you seen how powerful the war club is? If you buffed the damage, it would be over powered, same applies to the rapier. They both are example of weapons that have low damage but are perfect the way they are

i dont understand the shield on the back? I know he said its a stamina buff in your pocket but wouldnt it be better to just have to extra block stamina the whole time?
It breaks after 300 damage (200 for small, 400 for large). When it breaks, you get stunned and the enemy can hit you. It can be wasteful to use it when not needed.

It's bad to rely on your shield regardless. It's not that it's bad, but it's definitely not great. It has it's uses.

@@Ziggylata how do you even move like that. I was inspired by you to main the rapier but honestly, I have no idea how to engage, how maneuver and when to use what attacks
Moving properly is one of the hardest things in this game. Theres no guide on it because its too dynamic and variable.
To try and give you some direction, start by exaggerating your movement. Rotate left and right a lot harder during your fights. If you're in a 2v1, rotate in a way that keeps the second guy behind the first, so the second guy can't hit you because his teammate is in the way. If he manages to catch up, swap and do the same thing but to the other person. Target swapping is a very powerful thing to do.
This is one of the hardest skills to learn, so don't be discouraged if you don't get it very quickly. You're seeing about 9000+ hours of melee genre experience from me.

This just comes from experience. When you're comfortable with the game and the weapon, you stop paying attention to yourself and only pay attention to the enemy. When I'm playing, I never think about what I'm going to do, I just do it. This is why you need a lot of experience, you hammer this stuff into your brain until it sticks. I know how fast every weapon is, how long it is, where they can reach me from, everything.
Man at arms is definitely one of the easiest for me to use too as a new player

why does he choose not to wear the shield, can someone tell me the pros and cons of having a shield equipped vs having it unequipped?
Shields break and don't need to be used all the time. They give a huge stamina bonus when used, but they have low durability, break and when they break, they stun you.
