I didn't even knew people hated the field engineer, the buildings always felt like a minor inconvenience for me.
I think it's more the gall of a man to kill a knight in full plate, with...a shovel

What if the engineers are spamming barricades on an already mosh-pit of an objective like the first thayic objective, the gate objectives on Galencourt and so on, Engineers are the worst when they're exasperating an existing struggle to be even harder
Gamers will always hate something about their game and other peoples playstyles. Just think of the engineer in another game, theyre buildings are usually a non-issue and they still get hate
Actually the whole thing is pretty entertaining, the sweating engineer made me laugh, and hitting the drop traps in front of the barricades was satisfying. Nice job.

Three engineers working together make the game feel like a movie… or makes you hate their guts for just surrounding the objective.
Engineer is truly the thinking man's subclass.

Another hilarious thing is to run away with one guy chasing you and then quickly placing a trap so that the guy runs into it
Bonus points if they start charging and instantly impale themselves.
Top tip for you budding engineers, leave enough space in between your walls to allow teammates to attack through the gaps. Having at least two engineers group up with some spear users is one of the best ways to take advantage of this.
Also, placing that spike thingamabob behind a wall allows you and your team to hop over while blocking enemy advances.

Fun fact, after you place you bear trap or spike trap you can pick up a secondary weapon which opens up so many possibilities for things like environmental traps

The incentive to play engineer would be greater if they gave you points for putting barricades near objective areas, along with earning points for enemies hitting your barricades.
Otherwise, it’s just putting up barricades and sitting behind with a spear I found and poking people.

I use to believe engineer was a bad class for dueling since it lacks a secondary, but now I realize the bear trap IS the secondary

One of my favorite things to do with the Engineer is on the Ice Map, where the Mason spawn has destructible floors. Sledgehammers do bonus damage to surfaces so it's easiest, but it's possible with any weapon, you drop the enemy as they push you

Most people sometimes will just avoid the barricade and go the other way allowing you to funnel people into one spot

I’ve only seen this one video so far and you’re already one of my favourite chiv youtubers. I can tell you’re good at the game but it’s also funny and that’s what sets it apart. A lot of good chiv players are just kinda boring.
