After one month, I can still say I love my little Series S just as much as the day I bought it. GamePass is also showing me more games that I never knew I would enjoy. I can see myself keeping this for a long time.
Same. I bought mine with Game Pass nine months ago, and it's still easily the best console purchase I've ever made.
As long as you’re happy with it that’s what matters. I just hope Microsoft wakes up and gets rid of their idiotic “parity” stipulation. Which for those who don’t know it is basically Microsoft’s way of FORCING game developers to make games for BOTH the Series S and X. While on the surface this may seem fine and reasonable, the reality is it’s quite the opposite for those of us who went out and bought the actual Next Generation consoles (I bought a PS5 disc edition after saving my money for TWO YEARS because as a fully disabled combat veteran living on a fixed income it’s tough to have money for anything other then basic necessities) because ultimately what it will eventually do as many developers have said is HOLD BACK the two legitimately next gen consoles because the Series S simply can’t keep up. As of right this moment it’s not a big deal because developers are still creating and optimizing games for the previous generation of consoles until more people can get into the next generation but make no mistake, at some point in the not so distant future we will start to see the effects of that stipulation on not only the Series X but also on the PS5’s as well!
everyone wants series X but all you need is a series S
The Series S is also the best choice for non 4k users. I mean u literally dont need 4k unless you got a big ass TV and many people dont have that which would be weird if they buy the Series X instead of the S.
@@Aluja77 Not necessarily, I would say at this point with the prices of TV’s (4K TV’s) that at least half the households have a 4K TV. I mean it’s probably a cheaper one, I’m not saying people are like myself who go out and save up $2,500 and buy a 65” LG CX just for the fact it will help me get the most out of the PS5 I finally got 2 months ago after over TWO YEARS of saving up for it (I’m a fully disabled combat veteran living on a fixed and honestly low income all things considered so it takes me a long time to save any amount of money because there is almost none left over because inflation has taken it all….thanks biden) but you can get 42” 4K for less then the cost of a PS5 digital edition.

I think the Series S is an insane value especially if you go with the all access program. Now before you say “but you pay $600 at the end of the 24 months”. While you are correct what your not taking into account is that $15 of that $25 monthly fee is going towards Game Pass Ultimate while the remaining $10 a month is going towards the console itself making it $240 ($60 less of the retail price). Personally I think if you want a Series S and you already planned to get Game Pass Ultimate go with the all access program.

Would seriously like a performance test for the S, really considering this one, cause not getting a 4k TV in the near future
It'll run next gen games better than the one x due to the massive cpu upgrade. If you care about performance over visuals then the one s will still run games really well. Myself I only have a 1080p 144hz display which I will probably pick up a series s to use for the 120hz.
The series s can run an upscaled 4k resolution, it still has Ray tracing, it still has quick resume, it still has fast loading times. So honestly if you don't have a 4ktv or monitor that does 120hz and Don't plan on getting one anytime soon the series s is a great choice. Linus bangs on about how it isn't much of an upgrade over the one x, but from what I've seen with speed and loading times etc, it seems like a huge upgrade imo.
Get a series x then you are ready for when you upgrade your tv and you have a disc drive and more storage
@Dt J755 it's for casual gamers like myself who only play like 2 hours a day and don't install the stupid games like cod which takes 200gb.
I mean i would still go with the x cause in the long run its probably gonna perform much better once games really start coming out for next gen, plus you can pick up a 4k 120 tv for way under $300 now, even a cheap Phillips 32 inch at Walmart supports 120fps

My question is just will the series S get 1080 60fps without dips on AAA games like cyberpunk ?
Will it look good or will there be a very significant difference between the ps5 digital on 1080p. So will the extra 100 be worth it ?
Hey, I need some help with choosing the right console for me. I'm a mostly competitive player and I'm mainly interested in the 120fps as I have a 120fps monitor. I don't play a lot of single player games and I don't care about the 4k that the Xbox Series X is capable of. Also I'm more of a person that sticks to one game at a time so 500MB of storage on the Xbox Series S isn't a problem. But what I am worried of is that you said that the Xbox Series S is designed to run games at 120fps at 1440p but realistically speaking we're looking more at a 1080p experience. That makes me worried, so if the game quality could drop, is it possible that the 120fps won't be stable and also in risk of dropping below? What about as time goes on and game developers push the console boundaries more and more, can I trust the Xbox Series S to maintain it's 120fps or is it possible that the game developers decide to drop the 120fps in favor of better image quality or even the game running at all on the Xbox Series S. Or should I straight away go for the Xbox Series X and be safe that I will keep my 120fps gaming experience?
Still waiting on that Xbox Series E to complete the lineup.

If you plan on getting expandable storage for the SS, You might as well just get the SX
This.
The SX is going to need expandable storage as well
I already have a 2TB external hard drive for Xbox one. I really want some kind of upgrade from my OG Xbox because most games on gamepass run crappy on the original Xbox.
Do you think you need to get the x box series x if you don’t have a 4K tv/monitor?
So are you saying if I have an Xbox 1X I should hold off and wait till I can get a hold of the series x? Because I can grab a series s right now from Walmart but if I'm going to be disappointed I'll just wait. I'm not huge on the 4K 120 but the load times are what I really want to reduce does the series x perform better in that aspect

Anyone who has upgraded from a One S to Series S please answer these questions.
My One S broke like 2 days ago, and I'm considering getting a Series S next week.
I currently have a 120hz 1440p monitor so I'm chliing there but is the upgrade worth it? or should I just fix me One S.
Also how is the 120fps mode in supported games?
I don't suppose you could attach an external disc drive to your series S?
Are console disc drives unique to their games?
Series S is an defo an upgrade for me, I had an Xbox One SAD
Fuck I'm still on xb1 basic with a 4k tv and nothing to run on it 😭
Wow you really need to upgrade lol
Same here so the series s is the best deal for me I just need an upgrade
Austin: You still have Ray Tracing on Series S
Me (Looking at DMC5 SE) : *Idk man seems kinda sus to me*
Thing is it’s not meant to be a performance problem, they said apparently it will come at a later date based on what they said.
It's heavily underpowered man
DMC5 hasn’t been optimized apparently
Xbox exclusive are the ones most likely to support raytracing on the series s
@@hassnaindar9586 If you're stuck with 1080p then that's not really a problem tho
I got it for my 144hz ASUS TUF 27in curved gaming monitor...I have the Scorpion Edition and PS4 PRO 500 ed...hope its awesome
I don't mind the lower frame rate and not 4k, I just want a next gen console so it will be an ok buy for me
Very hard to distinguish between you saying series “S” or “X”
Seeing CZcamsrs wear other youtubers merch reminds me why I’m subscribed
So I have a series s but I really want it for game pass and for whenever a new Fable game decides to come out. I have a ps5 disk and I do most my game playing on that. So do I really need the X or should I be ok with just the S?
Yeah I been using the Xbox one version for a long time now, i got my hands on a series S. So I'm good.
For me the series s Is a replacement of the one x cause i know it Will give me better performance on my monitor 1080p which was the way i played the one x.
If u play on a monitor then u obviously care about specs and competitive gaming so u should definitely go for the x. And who know maybe down the road u will get a nice tv as well
@@ryanmoran5377 i have a nice 4k TV but I prefer monitor cause it support 144 hz and freesync technology.
Lol I've got a 1080p 144hz monitor I use for my pc. Might pick up the series S for it instead of an expensive new graphics card for my pc. Series s is also amazing value only £250 in my country.
@@JudeTheCZcamsPoopersubscribe What!! here do you live?
series S cost £360 and series X £560 Here in sweden
@@mikeswish4226 I live in England. Series s costs £249.99.
I got the money just can't find shit.
I have a 1080p monitor is the series S worth it and I only play like 2-3 games and play like 2-3 hours a day
At 6:46 in the video you mention copying your old games to an external hard drive.... can you do that with older disc based games as well?
