the vengeful spirit is the only confirmed Gloriana class battleship still fighting , but the wiki only says that there are no ships of the class still active (save the vengeful spirit) but it doesn't say that they were all destroyed just most of them , I could guess that there could be or maybe 2 of them stuck on planets or floating around space , but they would still be a cool ship class to do a lore video on , or the apocalypse class battleships
I was on the lexicanum and their is one gloriana class battleship in use by the imperium if you go by the newest lore and it is the Macragge's Honour

Tonnage - only 31 Mt - doesn't make any sense:
A ship of 5 km length and approximately 0.5 - 1 km beam (avereage width and height?) would have a *volume* between:
50 * 5 * 5 = 1,250 metric Mt (100*100*100m) and 50 * 10 * 10 = 5,000 metric Mt
A metric ton with the density of water (a cubic meter) has a mass of a ton (1000 kg). A metric kt (a 10m cube) and a metric Mt (a 100m cube) correspond to a mass of kt and Mt.
Weight of a spaceship depends on density, and while guesswork, it might be as low as 10% of water (mostly hollow/lightweight material). But more likely it'll be close to or above that of water to have enough structural integrity (with steel, aluminum and titanium alloys). I think Star Trek vessels were mentioned to have density slightly heavier than water, like 1.1 or so.
So probably the writers had 3100 Mt in mind but were a factor 100 off (error due to unfamiliarity with the metric system?).

Is there any lore on none-combatant spacecraft's in the 40k universe?
At 5:40 there is an image from Jupiter Ascending. Fits though, I always felt they just stole the design aesthetic from 40k

How come you never talk about size? Are these ships 2 km long? 10 km? How do they compare to each other?
Could you use the right pictures for the ships? You´re showing different pics of different ships instead of the one you´re talking about.

Ahh, more proof no one at Games Workshop knows anything about the military. When you take a ship and put battleship guns on a cruiser hull you end up with a flaming wreck that does neither job well. The Admirals use them as battleships and they are swiftly reduced to rubble or attempt to use them as cruisers and they are to slow and get left behind.

Idea of putting battleship class weapons on cruisers is not new and it can work pretty well, long as tactics and shit design compliment that and you happen to have enough ships to do so.
Ideally you have battleships at middle to long range, where they can shoot and not get shot back that much. Followed by bit closer battlecruisers who are supported by AA cruisers and fighters and smaller ships. Idea is to keep ships on movement, doing circles unloading forward weapons, turn and release whole broadside salvo. If cruiser gets damaged it can retreat via faster movement speed, do repairs, while still shooting from further back and whole ship is not lost. If it gets destroyed, its not a big deal as its manufacturing time, effect and cost is much lower than proper battleship.
