    No sci-fy fantasy universe is ever complete without a mighty Space Navy armed to the teeth with some Big Ass Guns of Glory!

    Ah yes... The Imperial Navy... I have much respect for them. Without them, I would have lost numerous conflicts the moment they began. An impressive video Micheal, very well made and very enjoyable.

      Too bad they're pricks towards everyone who's not an Imperial Naval Officer (Tho that's to be expected from an organization that's made up of nobility). -_-

      Sadly true, but they're good at their job.

      I suppose that's true...Still annoying that everyone has to kiss their asses to get shit done. They're one of the reasons why I bought my own ship.

      I may or may not have threatened the captain of the Stahl Sarg into being permanently attached to my regiment.... As well as outfitting the ship with the equipment and firepower that supports the Kriegan style of war.

    Would like to see a part two, maybe looking at life on an Imperial Navy vessel.
    This was excellent though

    The navy is easily the most important part of the Imperiums armed forces since they offer the best if not ONLY ways to perform *exterminatus*

    Ahhh the "flying bricks" of the imperium, I never understand why the mon'kiegh can't make something functional and nice looking, but at least you can appreciate them from a much classier vessel. Just don't put your weird psyker tau head anywhere near the wraithbone! Last think we need is a tau stuck in an infinity circuit!!!

      Come to think of it, can other beings with Psychic souls, have their souls transferred into an infinity circuit? :o

      I've fully explored Neoverai/The Truth of Harmony by now - as I said, there's something up with the place, it's completely abandoned. I haven't the potential to tap into the circuit, even if it is empty, nor do I wish to take that risk right now.

      You've seen all it will let you see, there are always hidden places within the world ships, ancient shrines to long forgotten exarchs, lost biomes with each creature and plant held in stasis, and the dark chamber where kaela mensha khaine sits ready for war

      Hm, note to self - check for portals, the schematics match up on dimensions already... Well, as longs nothing comes to kill me, that can wait. Only a few more months and I can hand it back, everything permitting.

    Only enough in the tabletop rpg Rogue trader navigators do have psychic powers. They can Teleport, banish demons, cloak etc. They are very fun and do not suffer from perils of the warp.

    • @Siathuan
      @Siathuan Před 3 lety +2

      But their powers are far more limited than those of astropaths, nevermind true primaris psykers.
      Their abilities are focused on their unique advantage in terms of witch-sight, and their superlative experience in navigating the Warp.

      Tactica Imperialis actually the largest ships in the imperial navy were the Gloriana class battleship the longest being MACRAGGS HONOR at 26 kilometers long although that was girlmans (hahaha) flagship although it is never stated that they were exclusively used by the legions so it is forgiven though for size reference you probably should have said how long a imperial navy light cruiser is . p.s. I don't expect a response

    Micheal i have a Question and i wasn't sure between you and Remleiz who to ask but Could the Salamanders and the Death Guard have had a rivalry along the lines of the Imperial Fists and Iron Warriors but less toxic (pun intended), during the Great Crusade or developed one during the Horus Heresy. And with the Death Guard set to make a return could the Salamanders be the ones that are the main combatants to fight them upon their return.
    Evidence for this is that both legions were know for being quite stead fast and are quite tough and strong in the Lore and the Death Guards use of chemical weapons could be countered by the Salamanders use of Flamers. Also both legions were mainly fighting each other during the Drop Site Massacre, in addition after the Drop Site Massacre the Death Guard attack the home world of the Salamanders.

    why the imperial navy do not have aircraft carrier class?

    • @TacticaImperialis
      @TacticaImperialis  Před 7 lety +3

      I'm sure many of their larger ships do contain fighter or bomber bays if necessary

    • @thelordchancellor3454
      @thelordchancellor3454 Před 7 lety +2

      The Emperor Class has 4 launch bays, as well as 8 macro-cannons in units of 4, and lance batteries.

      Bernard Rednix You don't realize how fucking big IOM ships are. Even a small 1 kilometer frigates can store thousands of fighters in its cargo holds (and not the pittyfully small Star Wars version of a fighter, but a C-130 sized fighter).

    • @Siathuan
      @Siathuan Před 3 lety

      They do, but the Imperial Fleet has a strong doctrinal preference for "big gun" battleships over carriers.
      And by strong, I mean that the last time someone tried to shift the doctrine - the so called Gareox Prerogative of M36 - it resulted in a brief but costly civil war, which saw the carrier doctrine tainted with a reputation for heresy.
      Hence, fleet carriers are rare, despite a torpedo/carrier doctrine being ideally suited for the Imperium's logistical advantage over most opponents.
