    It's heavily implied that the Blackstone Fortresses were built by the ancient Eldar, after the War in Heaven, and were based on Old One technology designed specifically to kill C'tan.

      Anyway, yes, you can. Though it appears to be insanely difficult. The Eldar and the Old Ones apparently managed to kill a single C'tan during the War in Heaven, though it has never been named. And the Necrons themselves managed to kill Llandu'gor the Flayer.

    Or even better question- what if Alpharius remained loyal to Imperium, and Omegon decided to joing Chaos, is there any possibilities that Alpha Legion was divided on two parts- one is loyal to Emperor, and another are heretics? This theory would prove the unstable information about their legion and their Primarchs)) Hydra Dominatus!!!

    • @markblakey3456
      @markblakey3456 Před 5 lety +2

      Read the heresy books you find out they remained loyal by falling to chaos. They believed the emperor when he said he didn't want to be a god so they saw falling as the only way to prevent it. I know circular logic and it failed anyways but in the first book dealing with them as the main legion Omegon and Alpharius have this exact conversation.

  • @ilikemusic5440
    @ilikemusic5440 Před rokem

    The blackstone is said to be some kind of alloy or metal that can be harvested, (given enough time, effort, knowledge, and capability) but my idea is that there is some kind of process to actually create this material. They made at least 7 of these things and they dwarfed a Deathstar so they had plenty of material to work with. It couldn’t have been too difficult to synthesize this material. I believe this is Old One technology and I believe there is an Old One who still knows either how to create this technology, or knows of all the dormant blackstone fortresses just waiting to be discovered.

    • @acannon2700
      @acannon2700 Před rokem

      The old ones last stand is likely in the segmentum where the 6 Blackstone fortresses are, the necrons decimated the old ones, the enslaver plague finished off the rest.

  • @JonathanXLindqviust
    @JonathanXLindqviust Před 6 lety +1

    Man there's so much godamn retcon'ing in Warhammer40k, a lot of it to the worse like titan-sizes, the c'tan and the blackstone-fortresses. Basically the original idea of the fortresses were that once all 12 would be powered up, they'd be able to *literally* destroy the warp and kill all life that had a connection to it. The C'tan were to basically murder the chaos gods and almost all sentient life in the galaxy. However the warp-entities spread to fast, basically forcing the C'tan to go slumber, the Old Ones to flee the galaxy and for all sentient life to almost die out anyway. Only the warp was still left intact, the fortresses dormant.
    The reason why this is much more interesting is that the original necro/C'tan lore makes them be entropy personified, even Chaos feared them, they were the end of all things, the heatdeath, inescapable even for the vain gods, now they've been retconned into tomb-kings in space.

    would be cute fluff if say...making a 'what if?' Novel of the emperor awakening and even as his human imperium almsot become EVRYTHING he strived to 'save' humanity and perhaps even other species from suffering ..as he must focuse on counter messuring the unstable warp devouering the materium since thoughts partly 'shapes' the warp...
    leeting,...remnants of blackstone fortresess crash onto factorum worlds with the dormant intellegences lingering in the derelict partial hulks awakening for the first time in ages ,...and sort of true to the old ones 'all life is sacred' but also sparked to truely awaken in ther 'killed' states inffluenced by the emperors reincarnated pressence and the humans thoughts.
    ends up making a bargin with the emperor himself...pledging to if given ther inpendence as 'Arcane citizens' resources of the world and its factories take as many humans they can carry inside them and try keep them safe through the raging warp storms and all the demonic entities it will give solid form it brings.
    awaiting the chance to start journy bettwen worlds to re-colonice after what might perhaps be the tiping point battle if the warp will spill forth like a tidal wave and devouer the materium itself ,or....if the emperor and old forgotten half functioning safe guards of the old ones can create a new balance one even if the etherium never can be made benelovent agen at least...make it 'stable' ....to a point.
    ye ye ,cliche ...but most fluff is XD..jsut love the thought of since the original AI Titan is a chaos worshiper ,why not have Titantic constructs from before the warp got twisted ripe for both demonic ,but also benelovent 'arcane minds' to inhabit trading the restrictions of the materium for the safty of existing regardless if anyone worshiped them or not ^^

      @@Liquidazot Lets say this game starts with table games, then evolve in different kinds till today. well, it dorsnt mean your a big fan from the other series and got some things here that is a little similar, it is a reft off or copy? Welll Inever judge things, but inthe way you are talking, you only try to criticise this for being pain cause of the fan war between two series. I am a fan of Halo same as Warhammer, but it doesn't mean that the two have to be the same. Try not be a fan, but an artist who is equal to all art works. If you wont change, the cycle of pain will not end.
