Europe has undoubtebaly the finest landscapes in the world, unfortunateky most tourist visit Rome Paris Madrid etc etc and ignore such hidden gems. Thank you for bringing these treasures to the world Ryan

YES. I’m an american who moved over here, and I found out the Carpathian forests (carpathian mountains) are disappearing faster than the Amazon rainforest. They don’t have much protection for it in Romania, there’s just less passion for it, less people who care.
Is it safe to swim in this lake's sharks and salty croc will not be there.
It took me lots of courage to rent a car and drive in Europe. It is so much harder than US. And without a car, it is too time consuming and options are limited outside of major cities.
And you have to understand that we fly 15h to see the colosseum, but to see a winery or an average lake? This is a nice video, but besides lake bled, I can't justify visiting Slovenia when I haven't seen the pyramids, the great wall, etc

I lived in Slovenia for 18 months. It’s truly a beautiful country. The people are also one of the country’s treasures. Small country with big hearted people and wonderful places to visit.

Postojna cave definitely deserves a place on the list. That’s a huge 24 km long cave with the world’s only underground post office. A beautiful place.

Yeah Postojna cave is beautiful, but at the same time overpriced and overrated😅 on the other side, you can visit Križna cave (which is approximately half an hour away from postojna), where you walk with hand lights, take a trip with a boat on an underground lake and the cave is not modified - it's kept the natural way.
@@klavdijastefancic351 We did the long visit of Križna Jama (4 hours through 19 lakes!!) last May and it was just crazy.

Oh Slovenia has been one of my very favorites so far! I love Ljubljana and how American friendly the whole country is! The best of our trip there was a Vintgar Gorge. Such incredible natural beauty!

If you stay in Ljubljana, is it easy to travel around to explore other areas?
@@islandgirl8963 By far easiest to drive for the hills and rivers, but castles and such are easily accessible by public transport. But if you rent a car you can get anywhere within a few hours at most.

I think many people don't think of Slovenia because it's independence is fairly recent and it used to be part of Yugoslavia and before that, Austria-Hungary. I've never been there myself. Predjama Castle looked dramatic on that cliff and the Alpine scenery was beautiful.

Slovenia is famous for its beautiful landscapes, lakes and dramatic Scenery. It is a perfect place for adventure seekers and nature lovers. This country is home to one of the most beautiful lakes in the world and some of the best ski resorts in Europe.
We travelled thru several countries and Slovenia was absolutely beautiful. Every bit of it was a pleasant surprise.
Where was some of your favorite places there?
The Julien Mountains, Ljubljana, the caves near Italian border( I can't remember the name), Bled, Trigslav National Park, Vintgar Gorge, Soca River and Planina (cattle herders village)

One of my favorite places there is a tiny place called Jeruzalem, got a nice restaurant to hang out and is overlooking vine hills to the horizon in every direction ;)

Fun fact. When we broke off yugoslavia the politicians were promising that we will become the next smaller switzerland. Lets just say our country looks like it. But we are not feeling it if you know what i mean 🙂

I live in Slovenia. Thank You Ryan for introduce my country. It's fairytale landscape. You forgot Kras (Karst), Postojna cave and Cerknica's intermittent lake Križna jama(cave with 20 lakes in). There is many hidden places with beautiful views and history full of hidden legends and history. We love music and culture. Come to visit us. We welcome You to show You more of our fairytale land. Energy is special becouse of underground world, unspoiled nature and hospitable people who live with nature .
Wooow!! I was thinking of visiting Bled next summer but I never imagined there are all of these places in Slovenia! I think I will extend my visit 😮 and I don’t think there is anyone on CZcams that showed Slovenia’s beauty like you did! Amazing! Thank you for your effort in showing us the beauty of the hidden gems of our planet.
Just came back from Slovenia. It really is a beautiful country. We spent a few days in Kranjska Gora at Lake Jasna, visited all the beautiful waterfalls nearby (e.g. Peričnik, Martuljški Slapovi), also Bled and Bohinj Lake (to my surprise contrary to what everyone says Bohinj was far more touristy than Bled when we visited, impossible to park anywhere, impossible to just walk over that small bridge next to the church, so overcrowded, probably better off season). Then we moved to Portorož and Piran for next few days. Visited also Miramare in Trieste, IT and Orrido della Slizza and Tarvisio, IT. But the highlight was the Vršič Pass and Julian Alps.We will definitely come back one day, so much more to see and experience there.
I think Vipava valley is worth a mention :) it's so beautiful

Not only Slovenia is the hidden gem of Europe, it also have its own gems : like Vintgar Gorge near lake Bled, or river Baca Valley - with astonishing roads and cosy, small villages :)

I have friends in central Slovenia who i visited this summer. It is one of my favorite places in world with so much beauty, nature, culture, history, and truly amazing people. From the hops fields of Žalec to Celje’s castle to Piran, I enjoyed every moment of my stay.

I love cycling so I am all around Gorenjska region. I have no specific place. I was so many time in Bled in all seasons. Every time is nice.

Ryan Shirley's video is the best. None can imagine such a beautiful Slovenia. I will be in summer in Monfalcone (border with Slovenia), Italy to visit a friend for a week. with this video, I am motivated to spend at least 3 days in Slovenia
I think my favourite experience so far has been having fun on a sanke (sledge) in kranska gora. Even made a video about it. Absolutely loved it. Can't wait to explore more of slovenia!

So beautiful. I've not been to Slovenia yet, but I wish I can visit soon, if the pandemic goes away completely. I'm from Slovakia and it reminds me so much of our country: beautiful mountains and castles, smaller capital city. Except you also have sea - it's like a complete win.

For this next video about Slovenia, I recommend that you visit one of our mines that have been changed into a museum (the mercury mine in Idrija or the lead mine in Mežica) and I also recommend to visit the "soteska Iški vintgar". It is realy beautiful.
