Asking Americans about geography isn't the smartest idea
Know something more about Slovenia czcams.com/video/bhgtGmY-MpU/video.html
Nor Brazilians, sad reality right?
Hahahahha 😂👍
Ask Europeans about North american states and you would get the same response.
@@jbremc22 which is interesting because, unless I'm missing something (since I'm American), theres only 3 in NA: Canada, US, and Mexico.
Unless you mean States.
This is more “welcome to the southern part of Slovenia” , although small, theres so much more to see, this video shows just a particle of our country.
you probably mean west

I am from Slovakia and I love Slovenia ! Slovenia is beautiful country. I have been in Slovenia for several times. We visited Bled, Bohinj, Postojnska Jama, Predjamski Castle, we rafted on Soča river, kayaked on Koritnica river..… I like Julian Alps….Greetings from Slovakia ! 😊😊
Slovenia, mala zemlja, a opet ima jako puno ljepota koje treba posjetiti. Pozdrav iz Splita
Beautiful. Now do the eastern part of the country. Krajinski park Goričko, Maribor, Savinjska dolina, Kozjansko, Koroška, there is so much more to show. :)
So many people missing out on so much. Slovenia, Europe in miniture. First visited in 1999, been over 30 times since, Spring summer Autumn and Winter, loved every visit as much as the first.
Where are you from?
How cold in the winter?
@@thomasmulhall4873 Coldest I have seen was when we went for the ski flying world championships when it dropped to -17, not extreme compared to some, but still very cold.
Slovenia is on of the most greenest and cleanest country in Europe. Also Slovenia is one of the freendliest country with high quality of life with beautiful nature.
I spent a summer vacation in Slovenia 2016 and it was amazing, thank you for reminding me of all the places I've visited. The only thing missing from my trip compared to the video was a cable car visit to the mountainous Velika Planina, which to me was a shared highlight together with Ljubljana.
Alps in Slovenia are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than just Velika Planina... Come back and discover :)
@@m.v.6870 Not like you can just come back.
@@m.v.6870 Especially because of the pandemic.
Was it all Mediterranean coast like in this propaganda video? Were all the people "strong, independent, successful women" like in this leftist, feminist, misogynist, sexist propaganda? Were they all incredibly close to nature and so down to earth and GOOD™ that they didn't ever use any cars, all products and goods in the country are transported on foot or on skateboard according to these deranged leftist utopias?
@@Nik-6675 Well now you can it is mostly over....
Beautiful country. Been blessed to been able to go see this gorgeous country. Postcard scenic views, great food, excellent wines, and warm people. Love Slovenia ❤️🇸🇮
sLOVEnia ;-)
Next March I am going to hike in:
Logarska Dolina
Robernov Kot
Around Lake Bohinj
Jesenice - Golika
I hope to see vast meadows but also snow in the background!!
I've been living in Slovenia for almost 2 months now and honestly if someone loves nature they shouldn't think twice about visiting Slovenia. It's breathtaking. I'm so excited to explore more of this tiny yet beautiful country and make more videos about it!
It is quite undeveloped so lovely for nature.
@@jaytrees7304 Slovenia undeveloped? Hahah great joke
@@jaytrees7304 In what context do you think it's undeveloped? Because from I understand the idea of development you're referring to has ripped the planet apart. Having the sense to have protected it's nature ( which is the natural habitat of humans and not concrete jungles) I think shows remarkable intelligence and sensitivity on the part of general representative of the country which reflects on the people as had they wished for the destructive idea of development they would've gotten that. So, on the contrary to what you said. I think Slovenia is pretty futuristic and developed. :)
@@pinchofclarity Exactly, more nature than anything. There is no industry in these areas so the nature is key. Where are you from?
@@matija4933 Compared to Western European economies like France, Germany, and Italy Slovenia is more natural and less developed in terms of industry. And this is a great thing for the environment.
I was traveling northern Italy and one day took a day trip to Slovenia and I was blown away. I will definitely be coming back to spend some time in Slovenia 🇸🇮. Greetings from Canada🇨🇦!
That's awesome. Slovenia is very beautiful, especially its coastal cities filled with old Venetian architecture.
I can only be proud to come from Slovenia is really beautiful country🙌🇸🇮🇸🇮🇸🇮
I'm a 3rd generation American, my family came from Slovenia.
Do you know any people with the surname Korosec?
That is our last name.
I plan to visit Slovenia someday in the near future.
I would love to see where my ancestors came from, and learn more about my heritage.
I'm a 3rd generation Slovenian American too. I have been to Slovenia two times and loved it. My grandfather was from the Notranjska region. I dont think I know of anyone with that last name. You should definitely visit I've been to a lot of the places in this video and they are all awesome haha
@@badnewsbruner Korošec is a typical Slovenian surname. I have distant relatives in Chicago who are black Americans who have the same last name as me. my great great grandfather's brother went to the USA around 1890 and married a black American woman
Don't forget the legend. Slavko Avsenik and his original Oberkrainer !

Well, if we consider your last name than it's not!
I love Slovenia. Living here for about 30 years. Excellent video.
Here we are again... "Slovenia" being presented as only the western part (Coast and its towns, Ljubljana, Postojna, Predjamski grad, etc. So where are the other places and regions? Prekmurje? Štajerska? Kočevje? Dolenjska and yes even Bela krajina? Does Ljubljana need more promotion? Or Postojna cave? Does Bled? Piran? Portorož? How about promoting other regions say 10% more and help out tourism in other regions? Slovenia is more than its western part, a whole lot more and I invite everyone to explore them, especially Bela krajina (southeastern region) but I am, of course biased :)
I have to say, I am typing because you say even Bela krajina. I have been to all of Slovenia many times, but never visited Bela krajina. I accept the challenge, will definitely explore.
Thnx god they didn't mentioned you cause you are emberesment to the whole country, mean and small minded people always causing problems and than blaming other people for it!
Does the western part have a higher population?
Every single moment I was melting, surely I'm falling in love with Slovenia. Hopefully,i will be in Slovenia very soon
Yes to bring the religion of peace I hope 🤣
i live in slovenia this made me feel so happy to see slovenia getting recognized🥰
I'm so glad I'm here for my erasmus this year, Slovenia was not my first choice but the country didn't deceive me
Cool neighbours & breathtaking scenery. Loved every spent minute there! 🇸🇮🤝🇭🇺
This has been a refreshing video to watch. It's so lovely
My family and I simply love this country. Gorgeous spots, montains, lakes, beaches, delicious food&wine, so beautiful and nice people like our friends from Maribor. Looking forward to coming back soon.
Noemi, well done! You amaze me!
Well...the girls did a good job. But sadly they showed only the main turist destinstions which are nice to avoid in the summer since are really overcrowded. Slovenia is beautiful, but is amazing to find the hidden places, not only the 3 destinations shown in the video. For example, the Soča valley and the mountains are just mentioned, not shown (except for the Hiša Franko restaurant). And the whole video focuses only on the west part.
Ana ve kako se reklama nardi, zase pa še za ene par prjatlov ...
I have two artist friends in Slovenia, as soon as this pandemic is over, I'll be heading there...this is a wonderful video...it makes me want to eat my way through Slovenia, besides see the beautiful site's....I also made a wonderful friend in Croatia...awaiting your review on that....I have seen some of her beautiful video's the beginning of her video's! Lovely!
Slovenia is not just a coast line ... Velika Planina, also Marof wine cellar, Prekmurje region with Prekmurska vas. And Svečina 'heart' with visiting best and unbeateble wines cellars ever and warm and wellcoming hosts.
Awesome I want to visit here now!
Beautiful country!
Beautiful, but famous axis Bled-Postojnska jama-Piran is beaten to death, even from ex-yu times on and it is presented basically in every tourist guide for Slovenia.
How about some not so much known spots (even to Slovenians), which also delivers in great memories (not just sight seeing but also meeting locals etc). What about Pomurje, Kočevsko, Bela krajina etc etc? I can guarantee you, you will find equal if not better gastronomy, happy and warm people, great outdoors etc (specially if you take as much effort to choose "best" as you did in the video).
Yes, small country, but diversity is definitely not small. This should be known to the local, maybe less time spent try to be a hipster, counting views and educate yourself and others with something new.
I am from India and Last week I booked my tickets to Slovenia for CHRISTMAS 2022. Absolutely love this video

I wouldn't be so excited about visiting, lived ther for like 5 years, country is run by corupte small minded politician and they try to scam you as soon they figure out you an forigner, never had a chance to expirience such a neglect for a hygene on a personal level as in this country, just appalling, there is a joke that even Romanian gypsis wont stop to piss there, and a joke told me a Slovenian guy i worked with!
The food looks absolutely delicious 😩 my gawd I’m so ready for my trip there!
Wonderful, thanks
Thanks, Naomi, really liked this video--great interest in Slovenia (which is often overlooked).
Slovenia has been on my bucket list for quite some time!
Neat country. So clean. Thanks for showing me around ❤
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
great job on the videography.
Great place been to all 3 towns on the coast,Isola was full of jellyfish, plus Maribor , Ljubljana, and Predjama castle,
And a walk round the Hydroelectric dam at Fala.
Deff a great country to visit.
Well, what about fantastic Soča and Vipava valleys? And the other part of Slovenia? Naomi! You missed Maribor, Prekmurje, Dolenjska, Bela Krajina, Kozjansko, Bled, Bohinj, mountains as well....
I actually traveled to a place incredibly close to Izola named Portorož. Its really beatiful and cool.
Jaz sem enkrat šel do nekega placa zelo blizo Izoli ki se imenuje Portorož. Je zelo lepo in zanimivo.
Nice video, but it's strange that you didn't show the Slovenian pearl on the Adriatic coast, Portorož!😍 By the way, for those who don't know, Slovenia is a really beautiful little country that stretches from the Alps to the Adriatic Sea, very nicely arranged, a land of hospitable people, excellent wines and restaurants. Mountains, ski resorts, many famous spas, rivers, lakes, the most famous Bled, but also Adriatic tourist destinations, the most famous Portorož. Greetings from a neighbor from Umag!❤
Slovenia very beautiful places and country
Excellent HD presentation of my home country (+the Slovenian coast, where I actually live)😎#koper
Slovenia is a beautiful country.
My wife and I will be there in June! Can't wait, we will be going to Lake Bled and spending time hiking in Triglav National Park.😊
I did a roadtrip in Slovenia last winter (Janurary-February) with some friends. Amazing country with amazing nature. Ski in the morning in the northern mountains, soak the Sun in the afternoon in the southern coast. It's a very convenient country to travel in.
I want to go on a solo road trip around Slovakia and Croatia. What do you think? What is car rental like there? Can I pick up in one country and drop off in another?
Hope to visit Switzerland and Slovenia next Summer.
Europe is just stunning I am from Belgium and I am amazed by the beauty of our continent
Thank you!
WOW!!!! I need to book this summer, I have traveled to over 140 countries and have never been to Slovenia!!! 😵
The local cuisine is a must... 🤤🤤🤤
well, for my taste and wallet I more like tourism farms, local restaurants, in every part locals can tell you, where is good and not so expensive to eat, with lots good and tasty food on plates.
@@VztrajniVolk agree 💯
Although it doesn't nearly introduce everything, it does a good job. I'd love to see a video on the soča valley and mountains alone.
Can't wait to visit it someday and experience it by my self😁
I'm really proud we chose Piran and Triglav for our family vacation this year. And We want to visit most of these places ;-)
2 nights at Piran and than we will move to Bled lake for trips around the lake and visit Triglav park. Of course we cannot forget Postojnska jama and that cave castle near ;-)
Sounds like an amazing trip. Cheers.
This is only 1%of Slovenia. We got other regions as well. The east part Slovenia of slovenia ist more cheaper as it is not so invaded by turists as the west side of Slovenia ( places shown in video). Be sure not to miss events, Museums and sport activities.
Slovenia is wonderful

No Prekmurje region? No Štajerska region? No Dolenjska region? Slovenia is not just Piran, Bled and Ljubljana. Dissapointed!
This is on tourists to explore. You can't just show them everything :)
@@Kintabl In every promotional video or vlog about Slovenia, there are always this three cities. Where is Pohorje, Bela krajina, Bogojina, Filovci.. :)
Video shows only regions occupied by Italians during world war😄. Not occupied part is actually Slovenia 😉
Love 👌🇸🇮
I work for a band and we've done many tours of Europe. Trust me: Slovenia and Slovakia are becoming the best countries there.
Great presentation and looks a lovely country . we hope to visit one day. R.
Thanks. You should definitely visit Slovenia.
I feel I'm missing out if I don't visit Slovenia! I will visit for sure in the next year or two
the best region by far is the Soca valley!! I recommend to camp in Kobarid at camp Lazar. Best way to explore the upper Soca is by SUP. The cementery section I d only go at low water levels by SUP.
YOU HAVE A LOVELY ENERGY-glad I chose this video to watch on Slovenia. And yes most Americans would have no idea wehre it is.
This might have bought a little tear to my eyes. It’s been a few years since my last visit to Slovenia, however, I am visiting again in June
and I recomend you to visit Terme Olimija and Aqua luna

Fantastic video I agree this little country is very misunderstood My parents were born there in a little town We are planning a trip back there next October I will be sure to pick up some socks
I agree!
Slovenia is relaxing and moves at a slow pace. Lovely. We have a great video in Slovenia on our channel!
All we know about Slovenia is that it is next to Italy. Also, Slovenians were part of the Venetian empire, which is Italian. And Slovenians are very very chill and relaxed people.
Only the coastal part, the rest of Slovenia was part of the Holy Roman Empire. The local dialects and buildings are still affected by this contrast.
Venetian empire was multi-national, and the Venetians would consider themselves as distinctly Venetian/specific, NOT Italian. Venetian republic was abolished by Napoleon at the end of the 18th century and Italy was only created in the mid-19th century, but then the formerly Venetian coastline became a part of Austria-Hungary empire... so sorry, you are WRONG :)
@@maticbukovac6966 Not wrong at all. Slovenes were part of the Venetian empire and conquered by Venetians. The State of Italy, like the state of Germany, was later if that is what you mean. You sore loser Slav. Look at Ukraine, Serbia and the mess of the Balkans. You keep changing names of places because you deny the history.
You also "we know" it was Mussolini fascist , May 3, 1941, occupation in Ljubljana, we were surrounded with barbed wire. Mussolini sated it is OK to killed 50, 000 Italian solders, al long they killed 500.000 Slovenian.
Thanks for this video. Could you please tell me where exactly are you in the Triglav National Park in this film? Cheers
Im from Poland, I have visit mamy EU countries but I never been so decided to move for living to one country like Slovenia. Language is very easy and similar to Polish and cuisine, nature and climate is perfect combination of everything I love. Hope I will make it someday because Poland sucks
you can just move there with your polish passport...
