    Great idea! I'm wondering if it would work for my two door mirrored medicine cabinet. It has no frame, clips, or pulls. Hence we open it by grasping the bottom edge. And of course over time those place at the bottom edges oxydize and blacken. Each spot is an inch or so long. Obviously I could do this - placing tile strips to stop at center edge of each door. But am wondering if the strips themselves would then oxydize in same places (since there are no pulls). Previously I had thought of framing it all somehow. Don't want to replace cabinet, and it doesn't look like replacing the glass is possible.....

    • @TammysHomeTips
      @TammysHomeTips  Před rokem +1

      You could buy one tile, cut a strip off and see how the placement would be before removing the backing and adhering it to the medicine cabinet. Each tile costs about $11 so it is an affordable experiment at least 🙃

    My mirror has the mirror clips. How would I work around the clips?

    • @TammysHomeTips
      @TammysHomeTips  Před 2 měsíci

      If they are the flat metal clips you can go right over them but the larger clear plastic ones you can loosen one at a time and slip that one piece behind it then tighten it again before you move on to the next one. Just be sure not to over tighten the clip so you don’t crack the mirror. I have done this several times without issues.

      It’s hard to know how long they will carry this in the stores. I was thinking that it’s something that will eventually only be able to be ordered online only. I’m hoping they will continue to sell an equivalent of this indefinitely somewhere.

    What black beading ? Can you show it ?

    • @TammysHomeTips
      @TammysHomeTips  Před 3 lety +1

      Great question! I should have shown that more clearly. The backing is a black soft foam-like layer that has the adhesive on it. When you cut the strips apart, there might be small pieces of the foam-like backing that didn’t cut smoothly. It’s best to pull those little pieces off before adhering it to the mirror. It will make for a smoother finish.

    I have mirror clips in a couple of places along the top of my mirror. I didn't see you have to adjust anything for clips so I assume your mirror didn't have any?

    • @TammysHomeTips
      @TammysHomeTips  Před 2 lety

      This mirror had no clips. However, I had done this in a previous place before and I just backed the clips out and put new ones in. Just do one at a time. Your scenario is better though. I had clips all around and it took two of us. Just be sure not to over tighten so you don’t crack the mirror.

    what about if you have clips that arent flushed? how do you lay this

    • @TammysHomeTips
      @TammysHomeTips  Před rokem

      I had to do this before… You need to have a second person to help you and buy replacement clips. You would have to replace them one at a time but be sure not to screw it in too tightly or you could crack the mirror.
