    Great tip! It really helps me out since my mirror is starting to show signs of age on the edges. Thank you. So I went to buy he materials and it cost me more then $50 just for the wood and the glue. That does not include the paint. Also please beware that unless you are gluing completely on the mirror LIQUID NAILS will not work for you. My came off because half of the frame was outside the mirror because it looked better. At the end I ended up building the missing part out of wood. It was a mess but I got it done. If you read in the LIQUID NAILS instructions it says not recommend for glass. I ended up using crazy glue as well. Good luck!

      @theblogauthority Před 6 lety

      Even if you want your frame white, you will still need to paint it. The white that is on it when you buy it is only a primer.
      In a bathroom where there will be moisture, you need to use a satin or semi-gloss paint.

    Nice Presentation! I am pretty sure crown molding is always the angled type that goes around ceiling; hence the name "crown". Other than that, awesome job! Thanks for pointing out need to paint reverse side of frame. Great point that could easily cause a disappointing result if overlooked. Keep on sharing!

    I've seen other videos on this, but none answered the burning question of what you do with the brackets that hold the mirror to the wall - how did you deal with that? Or is your mirror hung some other way? Please answer, this makes the difference for many people as to whether they can use your method.

    • @theblogauthority
      @theblogauthority Před 6 lety

      mom2moonndweez: 1) You can measure and notch out a couple of places on the back of the wood to accommodate the clips.
      or ... 2) you can remove the clips and stick the mirror to the wall with mastic. When we use method #2 we drop the bottom section down a bit to allow for a few nails in the bottom piece of the mirror frame (to be sure the mirror stays in place). Fill any nail holes with spackle, let dry and repaint that section.

    Very nice looking Christen, so I wanted to copy it but I purchased the wood (no white or any color) version, including the medallions. I believe I made a mistake. But why did U choose the white version of the moulding oven the plain version? Am I going to have to "treat" the plain wood with something? before using the rust oleum? Guess I am spending 50 for wood frame (before painting) because my mirror is larger (60 inches by 36")

    • @lulazeta8965

      The white moulding is already primed, so all you have to do is paint it whatever color you want it. NOTE: Even if you choose to have a white mirror frame.. you will have to paint the moulding. The white color that is on it is only a primer.
