#AsetekInvicta #Asetek #OverTakeGG - Hry
As an early adopter of the Asetek Invicta S bundle (got it in early march) I can just confirm what Joe says here. The stuff is great, doesn't make you really quicker, but more consistent. My consistency improved right away, since you really know early when the rear gets loosey goosey. So thus it can make you quicker on the long run. But as with football: money doesn't buy victories, you still have to exercise if you want to drive competitive. And if you don't want to you get a top notch product that puts enjoyment in simracing on a whole new level.
But I have to be a little bit spiteful on Joe: when he got his hands on the stuff on Sim Racing Expo last year, he was quite unfavorable towards the wheel, which he described as toylike and too much plastic, ugly and what not... and now he only complains a bit about the material of the grips. Which is fair enough, since this is a widely discussed point even on more expensive high end wheels. Buuuuut you know, I had to grin a bit because I thought 'yeah, if you can take a closer look on the wheel you see it's more than meets the eye'... the material being plastic, yeah, but a compound with carbon fibre and other stuff, making it super sturdy. I use it as I said since beginning of march, almost every day. And there are no creaking sounds or whatever, what you can expect from wheels made of plastic like Fanatec and TM and so on.
Currently saving for a house but totally want to get the invicta base when I can!
Really great and in detail review Jonas!
Cheers Happy! Awesome product!
Just got the asetek forte wheel base now, and I am pretty happy with it so far. I would love to get some inputs on how setup ffb for AC and ACC, since there is not too much out there yet for aseteks wheelbases.😅
Feel the same about the dd+ as i did asetek. More consistency ffb directly to the hands super fast. Increases consistency in laps which does reduce time.
Whats crazier to me is the little dd+ is 10kg only 1.5kg lighter then this asetek which blows my mind considering rhe size difference.
Btw that 9.4ms/nm isnt accurate. It was able to hit around 6.3nm/ms from testing. Still good though! Rubber over leather anyday of the week! Lol
Will there be a quick release with paddle shifter in the future? that's what would sell me this set of wheel bases.
Well you guys are a lot more experienced than I am but I’m currently looking to upgrade from my G924 I play ACC on LFM and whorls this be the ultimate upgrade I just want top line pretty much with a all in one bundle
It may be a fantastic wheelbase, but until there's a larger eco-system for wheels, including 3rd party wheels, I'll stick with my SC2 Pro.
I believe their adapter is really close to being finished
As a SC2 Pro owner you really don't need to consider the Asetek Invicta base as an uprage... wouldn't be a downgrade either, but a swap would be pointless, they are both on par to each other.
its pointless go from simucube to asetek, the only thing asetek have that sc dont is the rgb
Only point in going from an sc2 pro to an asetek invicta is the usb port on the motor shaft meaning you don’t need a coiled cable for wired wheels. They’ve said they will be releasing that soon but seeing as that is basically the only advantage over an sc2 pro they were silly to not launch the wheelbases with that.
With the adapter that just came out the ecosystem is probably better than simucubes since you can use almost any wheel and all kind of wirelessly
I just want a Forte review already
This but with less torque... done
Could you feel more then what you feel in a simucube 2 pro?
People report so. Pro is 8.0Nm/ms while this is 9.4 and they got same IP behind it.
where he mentions that Invicta is not as cool a Simucube2 Ultimate czcams.com/video/eMkzY5nT6LA/video.html but I guess it is better than Pro
ABSOLUTELY, Hands Down the BEST darn Asetek review- ALL the Things everyone else skims over, pawns off to the side, and no one called out All the Flaws - You Did a Great Job- any company claiming to be top or in the top- also the costs- should all listen, listen to there fan bases or sim racers in general n produce something we all agree on since they expect us to agree with them and invest into there company and there product… Simply- Great Review😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
It sounded like it with the USB comment but just to confirm, this is a wired wheelbase, correct?
wired in terms of connected via USB to your PC? yes :) - Rene
@@OverTake_gg Perfect, thank you!
Does it have table clamp? The smallest engine of asetek I mean
it dosent, as its still a 12nm base.
Definitely get a rig
Spinning less is being a better driver 😉.
I bite the bullet, now it's a waiting game.
you ordered one? I used the invicta setup for quite a while now and found so many little things I really like about it - Rene
I have a 10nm wheel and at settings that are manageable I’m nowhere near ffb clipping, does anyone mind explaining what benefit 21nm would give?
it would give you more arm muscles :P
Higher nm just saves wear of base, a 5nm base has to go 100% and a 21nm base goes on like 25% and saves wear so if your playing 10h a day then 21nm is a go and if your playing 2h a day then 5nm is enough. No one plays on 21nm anyway (impossible)
What games do you play? I know people who experience clipping with more than 10 mm
@Buddy508 it's not the game, why even t3y to make the setting so high? Lower the ffb and clipping goes away
More detail in the ffb, but that also depends on what frequency the base can run at
9.4Nm/ms vs 6.7Nm/ms on Forte is 40% while price is 56% up.
New Podium DD will be 10Nm/ms as well with 1.5k
T nuts not washers.... Made ot hard to take serious.
A follow up for the DD1?
Its a closed ecosystem no? Deal breaker for me.
It’s not. They have a QR adapter that lets you use any wheel. They’ve also partnered with a bunch to bring us wheels w the the qr adapter integrated.
That's 24.9 pounds. Lol
Interesting that you call this ad a review. It’s cute for upper mid range but it’s still not top shelf
hi do this base work with drivehub?
