New Moza R12 and KS Racing wheel - what do you think of the new line up from Moza Racing?
I've had the Logitech wheel since it was released and I have to say, I love it! The one thing that is annoying me about it right now, is the lack of options, I'd love wheel options, F1, Trucking and Rally would all be must have purchases for me.
3dRap is releasing VOTA - an F1/GT steering wheel in a few weeks for the Logitech G Pro. They just need to make a hand brake for it and maybe a new shifter, but there are so many mods to make the current shifter feel premium.
TrueForce is definitely really immersive I can feel curbs, a rock, tire screech, engine rumble and the cars engine. Rally 2.0 has a feature in which you can hear the cars engine from the steering wheel and feel it vibrations.
Moza says it's 12Nm peak, is there any info about constant torque ? Logitech and TM seem to share constant torque instead of peak torque, just curious how it compares.
Another great video. You can't go wrong with either. Of course, if you're a console gamer, then you really only have one choice. This is why I went for the Pro wheel as a PC & console gamer.
The trueforce is what sold it for me. I turn it off and can't imagine playing like that all the time. The Moza clutch pedal does look awesome though. I just have to wait for logitech to release a decent shifter and handbrake.
I've a DD Pro. At time I purchased it, G-Pro had not even been announced, but if I had a second chance I'd go for the G-Pro, no worries.
As you say, the Trueforce is a gamechanger, but the fact that it is console AND PC compatible is the main issue for me. I have a PC and a PS5, and I wonder when these manufacturers are going to wake up to the fact that they are losing potential sales.
So you want them to release a version for each hardware? one for PC, another for console and so on? no body would want to waste that much money just to buy the same wheel and end up having a bunch of the same wheel to use it on another hardware. No issue for me that it is console AND PC compatible. @@supercededman
@@supercededman logitech g pro has a base that's ps5/pc compatible. If you have an Xbox steering wheel rim, you can also make it xbox compatible. An F1 and GT steering wheel is coming out in a few weeks called VOTA by 3drap. They just need to make a handbrake and maybe a new shifter, but there are so many mods for the logitech shifter to feel premium
@@janlorenzabellana4206 I ended up buying a G Pro as insurance against the DD Pro going kaput. It's a wonderful wheel, I couldn't be happier.
R12
The market around the 10NM mark is getting quite saturated, but that’s a good thing! 👍
I wonder how the KS stacks up vs the GS and FSR and vs Fanatec wheels such as the McLaren GT3 and Formula V2.5.
Yes the saturation is great amd hopefully it will bring down prices further.
I just took advantage of a 15% discount and got the Wheel and Pedals from Logitech for £1.150. I got the discount code when I signed up for their newsletter if anyone is thinking of pulling the buy trigger then its a very good discount. I cant wait until Thursday when they deliver it. Do I call in sick of book a day off work I wonder :)
Great video and confirmed to me that I'd made the right choice
Great review, However the difference in price isn't much and Moza does not support consoles.
honestly i cant believe how F***ing ughly the G Pro is
😳😳😅
if you set it up witht he new sim seat what ever from logitech it kind of looks good but yeah set up on these other sim rigs its an ugly design.
It's because of the fan housing combined with it being designed to work on a desk, the casing is engineered to spread the weight in conjunction with the excellent desk clamp that was clearly designed in conjunction with the base.
For those of us on desk still it's by far the best choice.
I will say a 1000 is a bit steep, got mine for 600 on eBay never used unopened on box and for that money I'm blown away.. still need a rig but that's due to posture induced pain from racing at a desk rather than issues with the base
Hello. Is it possible to remove the clutch pedal on the Moza pedals? Thanks mate.
Yes you can remove
Anyone with a Moza setup. Do you play American Truck Sim? Whats it like? I want to upgrade from a G920. I primarily play Farming Sim, American Truck, iRacing, Assetto Corsa, BeamNG, rFactor 2, and NR2003 .. Any compatibility issues?
Id take the Moza R12 for sure i got a cs wheels pedals and shifter plus handbrake to go with it yes please and next to no plastic with moza stuff
For me it's the R12 or the Asetek La Prima. Not decided yet. But the 100€ less when taking the CS V2 as an Allrounder wheel and the currently bigger ecosystem is a big plus on Mozas side.
Definitely a big plus on the Moza side
I am in the same boat.
I fear that there haven't been enough users worldwide using these bases for a good period of time to bring up issues or compliments. What has your research been presenting?
@@djegovic22 for the La Prima is barely any information available beside the advertisement from Asetek. "Ron Reviewt" a Austrian Sim Gear review channel (he's providing english sub titles) announced that he'll be airing a La Prima review soon. But to be honest I didn't found any negative feedback to Asetek Sim Racing gear in general. Maybe they just deliver 🤷.
For the Moza R12 there have been some smaler issues but afaik it's been SW related. But I think they also have a bigger market share compared to Asetek and for this reason issues may pop up earlier.
How ever I really like the idea that it'll be possible to upgrade the La Prima to the Forte base by just switching the PCB if I feel like it. Which wouldn't work for the R12.
Are the profiles in G Pro stored in the wheel? For example, if I use G Hub on a PC and create a profile then connect the wheel to PS5, will the created profile still be available?
Yes
The R12 definitely makes me think about trying Moza for the first time. I'll be moving to Direct drive soon and the choices are heating up
Do it
There's a lot that are in the same competing space so I just jumped on the Moza. The quality and value for what you get is great, only had my setup for 3 months and it's been flawless. However what puts it over the top which isn't really mentioned enough is the quick release and the companion app. The QR is from an irl industry standard so it is solid, best in the market imo, the app does everything pithouse does but so much easier to adjust on the fly between parameters or completely different profiles. But whatever ecosystem you upgrade to, you can't go too much wrong, it's just up to your budget and what features you need. For me if I was to do it again I'd still pick the Moza.
I'm currently on their r5 and thinking about moving up to the 12.
Moza makes fantastic stuff I love my Moza rig so glad I chose this o e Logitech pro and fanatec they only other DD I would choose over a moza maybe would be simmagic or simucube but they cost more the simmagic alpha Mini looks pretty sweet and you can bundle it with any simmagic wheel I plan to upgrade to a R12 at some point I got all Moza stuff now and it's awesome without killing your wallet
I actually had the opportunity to buy a Asetek La Prima bundle and went that route instead. But if Moza makes their Xbox wheel available with the R12 I'll probably still pick one of those up as well for my Series X and Forza
R12 is better for me because I like pc sim more, mostly due to the ability to mod stuffs😂. So r12 is a no brainier for me with number of options available it’s just so good, r5 to r21 , es to rs v2 , ks to fsr, range of use cases moza has is better. On the other hand Logitech will probably forget they released a sim equipment for like next 25 years are so😂😂
Would you recommend the KS or GS if price isn’t a factor?
Personally I prefer the GS as it looks better.
I got the r12 but honestly I love Logitech and imo it looks amazing and for the price of wheel, base, and pedals it’s a solid package for the price.
Pedals are not included in Logitech, you have to buy them, separately.
Which game is the one from 8:27, 8:50 and the little crash at 9:06? ACC?
I know the other one is GT7 but that one on PC seems great!
AC with whole lot of graphic mod😂
I think those F1 style wheels look cool but I don't race F1 I'm just going to end up putting a 35 CM wheel on it, drifting and doing some circuit/grip racing in street cars maybe some rally. I don't use paddle shifters and I don't have a need for all of those crazy buttons I can just build a button box if need be. So either wheelbase would work for me. I like the sound of true Force but I just don't know if it's worth spending the extra money since I already have pedals.
For the love of God, please!
Will a company give us this level of dedication for a force feedback joystick, please 😢
😳😳🤔
'R12' i really like the eco system moza are building , if i was going to move away from fanatec i would probly go the moza R21 , fsr wheel & crp pedals , that would be my bundle of choice atm , maybe moza could send me some kit to try 😜
Moza pedals are trash. Stay away from them(moza user). You want something like the VRS DFP's or similar for pedals 👍
❤️
Logitech Trueforce!
KS is just stunning for a budget GT wheel! Will work perfect with my R5 ...it makes teh Logitech look like a toy.
r12. I went for the pro as I'm a PCVR racer I only need the one wheel
🤩
The lack of console compatibility of the Moza wheels are a deal breaker for me. I know all "serious" sims are on PC but GT7 with PSVR2 is so immersive and in terms of realism GT7 still does a good job.
I have the VR2 as well. 😊
What strength do you have TF running at?
I can't race without true force anymore hahaha...feels so empty
Funny that, people just don't realise until they've tried it.
Which one do you have I kinda wanna upgrade my g920 and need some recommendations
@@trippy7143 I currently have the Logitech G Pro wheel. I upgraded from the the G923 to this one about 9 months ago. Here's the thing....on the G Pro Trueforce is incredible! ;Because of the direct drive motor it makes the haptics feel very refined and detailed. When I had the G923, because it;s a gear driven wheel trueforce feels kinda gimmicky and just makes the wheel very noisy and annoying ...the G920 does not have trueforce at all. To really experience trueforce youd really need to upgrade to the G Pro.....It's not cheap....but if budget is an issue I'd go for a more economical direct drive wheel.....I truly believe Moza will release a very inexpensive PS5 wheel soon.....probably in the $400 range so you may want to wait......if you are on PC then those options are available right now...good luck
What strength do you run TF at? I saw YT review where the setting was 100%.
It was horrible.
@@supercededman wow...max setting is wayyyyy to high! I run mine on gt7 at 25% and 15% on ACC
One question can you use a usb steering wheel on the Logitech gpro wheel base?
If you make your own adapter to their quick release... I guess even then-no. Nobody cares in fact. Logitech run into hi-end segment of ecosystems with no ecosystem.
@@SroedingerCat nah I'm gonna buy the moza r16 with crp pedals It will cost me 200€ more but It's better
@@SroedingerCat with ES wheel with the round wheel mod
It's better option for a long term use
Would u recommend R12 over CSL DD?
For power definitely as the 12Nm feels good when racing.
Is MOZA compatible with ps5?
r12 and do u think i should get the r9 or the r5
R9 as the power from the R5 is low
compare with fanatec next please
👍
Nice work
Thanks
After playing games with true force and going back to games that dont support it makes the experience feel hollow i like my logi too much atm
It’s clear Moza takes the cake, proper handbrake, much better shifter and actual wheels for different feel. MOZA please come to console!!! 😩 R12 FTW
❤️
R12 still here I would go with the LG on this one ☝🏿
❤️
I think I'd go with the G Pro for my money. Console support adds value imo, plus the ability to adjust the device without a program or app. As an owner of high quality plastic Sim flight gear (Virpil), the plastic of the G Pro doesn't bother me at all as it can be very high quality even made of plastic. Plus True Force from what I've heard adds a lot of immersion.
i would also think it has some sort of metal enclosure underneath the plastic
The logitech after using it is so good!!
I got so happy when I saw the thumbnail until I realised the 'vs'. Thought that Logitech released a Formula style rim
I guess that the 'R12' is worth a look at
❤️
Looked like you were testing Trueforce on Assetto Corsa? Which doesn't use it. ACC does, not AC
Yep I know, It's just B-Roll footage for the video.
For ETS2/ATS Trucker,No-brainer MOZA because of TSW wheel and its upcoming stalk
R12 or simagic Alfa mini ,now there's a tough choice🤪
R12 🔥
❤
Nice comparison. You can see from your video the Logi is gargantuan and a bit of an ugly brute, in my opinion. I went for the R9 and GS wheel over it around six months ago and have since upgraded to the R21 and can strongly recommend any Moza product. I guess if I originally had the R12, I may not have felt the need to upgrade to the R21 as typically run it on iRacing around 12-14NM. One more thing I'd mention, is if your after greater immersion, True force aside, I think the Moza wheels really make you feel like you're in a racing car. So authentic.
Thanks
I am gonna change to Logitech soon, I hope. I need a nice and cheap steering wheel that turns to 900 degrees and that has buttons but I have to find it in Greece, can you recommend me a good one?
DD Pro…
Logitech g920 for under $250, Moza r5 for under $500
i thank you both for for your answers in the name of errikospopo..... the guy
@@CoolD10 I am pretty sure that G29 is more cheap.
@@errikoskalogeropoulos4671 it is. but the moza r5 is way better and worth the extra money. it all comes down to what you are willing to spend
G pro because my past Experience with logitech is great their wheel last forever and the driver, support is great
yes! i too am a happy lifelong logitech customer, one of the only brands im loyal to since not even once has any of their products let me down haha
R12 (but i like the Logitech G Pro wheel more, but if they don't expand the ecosystem ....sigh...)
This is the major issue with the Logitech ecosystem
@GeekStreet yeah they need to getonwith it asap.
Ive beenoutting offbuyi g logitech for that reason.
no handbrake and sequential shifter, and i want a round 320mm wheel...
It makes fanatec look like the only option for ps5.
Moza work with ps5 yet?
No 😭
The size the logitech dd is comical. What were they thinking? 😂
Bro, i have to stay loyal to logi fam bro, you know
😳🤔🤯
I ❤ the G Pro, just don't know whats taking them so long to add a shifter???
I know its crazy
And steering wheel options (especially a hub) ...
Sorry Logitech, but that wheelbase looks like something out of Star Wars. Wayyyy to big, bulky and still toyish looking.
i love how you didnt even mention the g-shifter since its pretty much gorbage lmao
Fanatec DD pro best value. 8 NM is enough.
😳🤔🤯
Perhaps, but that 11 nm in the Logi is great. I typically drive GT 3/4 cars in ACC at 10 - 10.5 nms and really like the feel and level of detail. ☮️
Logitech needs to make a new stick shifter
Yeah Moza's progressed ahead pretty well in comparison
They need new everything...😅
Logitech do sell just the base for 699 or just the wheel for 250
Yes but the standalone wheel or Wheelbase is only PC compatible. Not PC/PS or PC/Xbox. You can only get PC/console compatibility from the Bundle.
PC only.... that's a no go for me
Competition breeds innovation! Moza seems to edge out the logitech with it's power, quality, customizablity, and accessory options. liek 122
Thanks bro
I can buy the R12 but not the Logitech G pro in my country. That makes Moza the clear winner
First R12
🤩
Trueforce when playing dirt rally feels like im revving a car the vibrations it sends through my rig.
No going back.
Moza looks better but logitech takes the cake in my book.
One more thing some people complain about flex coming from the wheel on various wheels but there is absolutely no flex and solid.
R12
❤️
I'm about to be getting my g pro wheel. What do you recommend for the true force amount on dirt rally
@@schmoe2984 sold my rig due to lack of room 6 months ago.
Cant remember now sorry dude but turn it up high in the g pro software and adjust the rest in game.
R12
You are saying not all games support trueforce but 60-70 percent racers play automobilista or acc, so these 2 games support truforce :) and i think Logitech continue to work with other games too.
Why are your prices for the G Pro always so high? The price isn't wheel + pedals, why does everyone make that mistake? The real price for the wheel and pedals is around $1100 USD if in the US or for me just over $1000USD converted here in Japan. Ah after checking UK logitech I see now. They don't do the bundles like most other regions do. Wow they are expensive for you guys! If in the UK you pay $700 usd more... lol. One of the very few times I am in a cheaper region...
