I would like to thank you as well Mark for sharing Anna’s journey to America. I am of Deutsch Heritage on both sides of my family and it gives me a Glimpse of what they may have gone through to come to America.
Thanks

Thanks for the great vid as always.
wow! Very interesting history. I have German ancestors who arrived in the US in the late 1800's. Intersting to think they likely came to that building

Hi Mark - I am so glad you are back with Anna-Elizabeth's story. I enjoyed you review of HU Dockworker. Hopefully I can track a can down to try it. Normally, I stay away from flake due to the watage when I rub it down. Never knew about fold and stuff, I will try this method of packing on the next can of flake. Looking forward to the next part of the story in Bremerhaven.
Thank you so much for that! Really appreciated!
Yeah...just hit the website of "Pfeifendepot Jansen" ...they do international shipping...
Hope You're doing well! And take care, my friend!
Mark

Hey Mark! Thank you so much for that great installment in the Anna saga!
It is stagering to imagine how many people were displaced through these ports.
But that is the history and story of mankind, ...immigration, displacement and seeking new lands for survival.
The Dockworker really sounds to be a tasty tobacco...it is one that I have thought so often of trying but still have yet to...
...but i will...it's on the list!
Thanks so much for shring this...take care and be well!
Gonna make a message soon for you, hangin!
Corey
Corey, my friend!

Mark
@@bremenpipesmoker6571 Well,...I have an HU tobacco video coming up here soon....perhaps by the weekend...we'll see!
Thanks Mark. The history is very meaningful to me, as my family went through Bremen Haven to America. The museum there is fantastic and I look forward to the next episode. Dockworker is on order and being a Burly fan, I’m sure it will be delicious.
Did you see they have a minimum quantity now on all of the tin tobaccos? At least 5, 10 and 20 depending on the blend
It's always a good day when you drop a video Mark! You keep us entertained and educated. Simply fantastic. I certainly wish HU tobaccos were easier to come by in my part of the world. Hopefully one day I can get my hands on a tin. As always Mark, superb content. Hope all is well and I'll see you on the next one. Take care!
Thank you so much for taking the time ... and most kind words! Truly appreciated!
Well...there is a chance, to get it from Gerd Jansen's Pfeifendepot in Hamburg...they do international shipping...
Take care! Hope, you`re well!

You have really done such a wonderful job here.
Thank you for sharing this Mark! Both sets of my maternal great grandparents emigrated from Germany to US (Wisconsin) and became dairy farmers. They likely came through those very doors you were showing us.

The Dockworker is an great tobacco. I think, he's near to the Flanagan because of the orientals.

Another great video. I'm surprised they let you smoke in the park.
Do you have your €5 monthly rail pass yet? Very popular I hear.
I agree with you about complaining. It is one of the true pleasures in life.
I'm looking forward to the next chapter in the travels of Anna.
Thanks Mark.
Hey Michael!
Thanks a lot for that! Yeah...well...I didn't go for the 9Euro ticket...didn't wanna join the chaos, that's already happening in public transportation system...lol
Take care, my friend! Be well!

Excellently entertaining and informative video. Having so much of my family heritage being German, it’s wonderful viewing. The tobacco review was just great and the tips for handling flake were nice to compare with my own. Vielen Dank, Mr. Bremen Pipe Smoker. I looked up Dan Tobacco and it seems like a marvelously historical and scenic place to produce excellent German pipe tobacco. Also, been enjoying smoking Dragon Flake since your previous video. Best regards and eager for your next installment of Anna’s journey to the US.
Thank you so much for taking the time and really most kind and heartwarming words! Truly so much appreciated!
Take care! And be well!
Mark
Wish HUs were readily available Stateside! Cheers sir
It's crazy to believe that that part of today's trendy Bremen had such a big impact on history of America. I've been there few months ago eating g in the nice restaurant made in old harbor building and I never thought that at some point it was a big port! Dockworker is a nice baccy for sure unfortunately not available in Ronnie's place. Dockworker is very burley forward tobacco but that special malavi used by HU is pretty amazing. I like that tabacco for sure Thank you for great content.
Thank you so much for taking the time ... and most interesting comment! Truly appreciated!
Take care! Hope, you`re well!

Always looking forward to another video from you, if for no other reason than just to make sure you are doing well! Take care!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hope, you're doing well also!

My maternal grandfather was the first in his family to be born in the U.S. His parents were originally from Germany (Baden Baden). It is interesting to think about and wonder if they may have passed through the building in your video. Thanks very much, Mark, for sharing the information.
Thank you so much for that! Really appreciated!
Hope You're doing well! And take care, my friend!

Now you said millions went through that port. Were they all German immigrants or were they also from neighboring countries that used that port?

There seems to be something inherently wrong with casting one's criminals off on another country but that's even done today, here in the United States Mexico does it to us all the time.
Thank you so much for taking the time, brother! Truly appreciated!
Take care! Hope, you`re well!

Hi Mark!

My mom's family came from Germany. Her dad was born in the US, but his older brother was born in Germany. There's a good chance they came through the same place you are talking about. Not sure any longer as my mom is in her 80s and her family has long passed. I wish I had more info about the history on what happened to them. I hope to procure some HU tobacco at some point. Thank you for your recommendation for Dockworker.
Thank you so much for taking the time ... and most interesting comment, my friend! Really so much appreciated!
