Incredible...just incredible! Every video is such a gift. I sit here in South Louisiana, smoking some HH Bold Kentucky watching this. It is amazing to me that you take the time to produce this content. Great tobacco talk, wonderful history lesson....just outstanding! Thank you Mark!!!
Man, what an interesting saga this has been turning into! Really great work here , Mark. You should have your own national history channel on the television man ! Thanks for all the effort you put into your channel mate. It’s excellent and very entertaining for all of us.
Very interesting story. I was intrigued by those old letters but also by tobacco. Thanks for the effort. I am very excited about the upcoming episodes on this topic.
Hi Marc love your videos. Watch them all. Wow love you to make a video of your cellar and your pipe collection. You have beautiful pipes and I think many people would love to see it if it's possible. Your friend from upstate New York. Be well Tom
As a former student of history, who loves history, travel, and pipe tobacco your videos check off all those check marks. Thanks for all you do. Absolutely amazing content.
Hello Mark - enjoyed your smoke with HU Haymaker and the story of Anna Elizabeth Sonneberg. Germany's export made America great. While I watched I enjoyed a bowl of Cornell and Diehl's Bayou Morning Flake, a virginia and perique blend. Marvelous presentation. Thanks John
A while ago, I told my mother (who is 77) about your video of the Roman Gate in Trier. A few weeks later, she called me and was asking me if I had watched other videos that you have made, which I have. Last week, she called me and asked me if I watched your latest video where you talked about Mac Baren Vanilla pipe tobacco. She doesn't care about pipes or tobacco at all, but she has now watched every video you have posted and is regularly checking to see when you post a new video. I suspect she is one of many non pipe smoking fans that you have. I am a pipe smoker and I enjoy your videos a lot and I also appreciate that your work and care in making your videos has brought her so much enjoyment as well. Thank you for doing what you are doing!
Thank you so much for that, my friend! That's probably one of the nicest compliments, I ever got! Let your mother know, I appreciate her company! Take good care, my friend! Be well! Mark
Your accent is so interesting and unique. Great video, I love the multi subject format and the story! I’ll be looking for more. The story was very interesting. Thanks so much for the good content.
Hola Mark, fantastic, I am of course thrilled as an "amateur historian". The Haymaker of HU is of course an excellent pure Virginia, which I also appreciate very much. I am absolutely thrilled, of course, by the research you have included on the history of this poor young woman, which unfortunately probably paints a typical moral picture of the time. I am curious to see how her exciting story continues. The work you have done reminds me of the genealogical research my father and I did on our family, which took us through Europe and back to 1732. Unfortunately, the traces broke off there because the church records had been destroyed in a fire. We see us next. Best wishes from the island. Michael.
Hi Mark, I haven't been into ytpc for a long while but since I am again, I am watching all your videos I missed. I really like this kind of video series you started here! Please continue and let us know much more. Diving into history always is a pleasure with you! Best wishes from RLP, Marco
Love to seeing genuine German countryside ,good & solid folks living out there on the land, Thanks for the fascinating story and tobacco review, alles bestens aus Finnland,Paul
Very interesting, well done video. I'm really hoping we learn in the next chapter that she married a very rich husband in America and lived happily ever after.
very interesting history. particularly interesting to me. one of my ancestors of the surname Meyer came to the u.s. in the early 1840s. the family story is that he was some kind of royalty, a lesser prince or some such that stowed away on a ship to escape some legal issues. however my aunt has done a many years long in depth genealogy and ancestry research and had discovered that he was a criminal that was sent out of the country as a teenager for stealing and poaching. thanks for the video.
Fascinating story Mark and I like your style of reconstruction of Ann’s early years. I can’t wait to watch part 2. I am amazed at how similar in appearance Haymaker is to Germain’s Medium Flake. You have got me excited to compare & contrast.
Thank you so much for taking the time...and a most interesting hint! Never thought about it so far...but I gonna check it out! Take care! Hope, you're well! Mark
Sitting here at my desk smoking a savinelli 316 with Mac Baren vanilla creme. Really enjoy your vids. The schneider family changed to snyder in america is a part of my heritage. My great grandfather Carl Snyder was my friend and fishing buddy. Some day i will visit. Thanks again.

Fascinating Story, Mark. I'll be looking forward to Episode #2, and if you were able to track down Anna's whereabouts after coming to America. The Haymaker sounds real nice. I'm very fond of Golden Sliced, so this would be right up my alley. All the best to you, my friend. Be Well. Ed

To exile someone is a common practice in olden times up to the 20th Century. Political , criminal, social exiles are practiced as a social norms , sometimes within the country or overseas . I seldom hear this from Germany. Only one I read about was Trump’s grandfather ‘s case from Germany to America 😄. Look forward to further news in Bremen regarding Anna .
I recently bought 19 oz of five different tobaccos. Next time I make a purchase Haymarket is on my list. Just need to hear the aromas. I like retrohaling so hows that go.
Love the videos Mark. The history of migration is enthralling, wether by legal means or illegal. Thank you for your time. How would someone in the States get HU tobacco from Germany? Or even some DTM tobacco’s that aren’t sold here? Chuck
Thank you so much for that, my friend! Much appreciated! Yeah...you can get the HU tobacco here...they do international shipping: pfeifendepot.de/produkt-kategorie/tabak-tobacco/pfeifentabak/hu-tobacco/ They also do DTM: pfeifendepot.de/produkt-kategorie/tabak-tobacco/pfeifentabak/dtm-dan-tobacco/ Hope, that helps...take care!
Thanks for taking the time! Much appreciated!

I recently bought 19 oz of five different tobaccos. Next time I make a purchase Haymarket is on my list. Just need to hear the aromas. I like retrohaling so hows that go.
DTM is great, but...
The finest VA come from K&K.
Meistermischung 88, Huber Golden Flake, Sir John's Flake (ex Planta), Solani 633...

You speak with multiple accents lol how did you learn English?
