    For everyone complaining about the "vibration", with a proper tune of your car, they can adjust your idle, to where you have little to no vibration at all. RMM is almost a must in any FWD car you are trying to make power in. Such a great early on mod for the ST

    I put the Cobb Motor mount at the same time I did the MBRP exhaust, I noticed the hook up was better and my quick shifts into 2nd were sharp and the Engine didn't hit the firewall anymore, it almost felt like I had a new clutch, I got a new I-phone 7 yesterday and the sales person had a 2014 Fiesta ST with the Cobb access port, we started talking cars and after the sale he let me take his car for a test drive he told me to drive it like I stole it it was pretty cool. Be safe. Fiesta Flash.

    I bought a 13' ST and just had to replace the clutch. I had the RMM replaced with the CPE stage 2. I had some vibrations. Then a rattle popped up. I jacked the car up and notice the main but and bolt had loosened up. With that tight, the vibrations feel stock. But, I feel the factory RMM is what causes all the clutch issues these cars have. Thanks for the test.

    I installed the cobb motor mount and then switched to the CPE motor mount and the two are night and day different! The CPE motor mount puts the power to the ground better then COBB and the vibrations are less! Also I had my idle changed with my Stratified tune.

    • @KoriginalST
      @KoriginalST  Před 7 lety +1

      +A Chavez really??? So it was worth the extra money?

    • @achavez7439
      @achavez7439 Před 7 lety +1

      Koriginal ST yes it was worth the extra money for sure! Like I said I originally started with the COBB and it was ok but then when I put more power to my car it wasn't doing it's job! The CPE is a two piece and the design takes away the vibration and allows more power to plant in the ground. I also have a custom tune running e85 and when they tuned my car they adjusted my idle to eliminate idle vibrations!

    • @Xeridae
      @Xeridae Před 7 lety

      Yeah it's worth it because the design is much different the rubber is located in the arm that is closer to the engine and it makes a big difference. If you look at the OEM or the Cobb motor mount then look at the CPE you can see they put the rubber in different parts. Still though, the Cobb is better than OEM.

    Do a real mod like LSD and traction control bars mounted to the frame rails. No wheel hop, no torque steer, and under 2.0 second 60ft's on street tires. 1 sure way to destroy your stock diff is letting one wheel spin and the other one grip. Luckily Ford puts in technology to apply brake pressure to the slipping wheel, it's only a band-aid. FWD can be fast if you do the right mods to support the power.

      Koriginal ST Cobb is a good company. Not saying you did this, but there wouldn't be a chance in hell I would pay a grand for a FMIC by Cobb and for half the price I can get (from my understanding) a better FMIC from Levels or FSWerks for legit HALF the price.

    The answer is NO. I put the cobb on my RS and it didnt make even the tiniest bit of difference. Same mount. It still hops so bad it feels like the fucking cars going to break. Going to put on the passenger side and trans mount, and if that doesnt work? Well I got fucking dupped.
    Its placebo, you WANT it to be better because of all the work out in, and money wasted. Trust me I get it. But its not worth it at least with just 1 mount.

    • @Hoodratliker
      @Hoodratliker Před 5 lety

      It was made to stop the motor from flexing backwards and hitting your firewall. Idk about wheel hop. I think you just got it for the wrong reasons.

  • @Xeridae
    @Xeridae Před 7 lety

    I'll give you my opinion on this for whatever it's worth. Firstly, the motor mounts are never going to solve problems with wheel hop because it's not what causes wheel hop. The motor mounts just keep the motor in place so it gets rid of that hard thunk that you feel sometimes when shifting aggressively or down shifting. I know there are a lot of guys on focusst.org saying that the motor mounts fix this wheel hop issue.They are wrong. What causes wheel hop is the constant back and forth change between the tires getting grip and the tires losing grip due to changes in the toe that occur when power is being put to the ground.
    You could go with wider and stickier tires to prevent loss of grip but this is just increasing your acceleration threshold giving the illusion that the problem is fixed. Change out the suspension arms to some more rigid arms and the bushings to nylon or polyurethane. This will 100% solve the problem. I unfortunately don't know if anyone even makes after market suspension arms/bushings for the ST though. I have a 2016 Focust ST so believe me I am looking but like I said stickier and wider tires are an acceptable alternative.

      That isn't a crack - looks like it's from the casting, or a removable case or something.

    A motor mount doesn’t reduce wheel hop it only helps with vibration so I have no idea what your talking about wheel hop can be reduced with better suspension

      on the focus ST the only thing that stops the motor tilting backwards and pulling the gearbox and sub frame with it is the rear mount and the stock ones are fucking awful the motor literally smashes into the firewall

      You sounds dumb as shit do some research before pulling info out of your asshole for the Focus ST the Rear Motor mount Eliminates wheel hop

    The original motor mount it's better quality than that cheap Cobb plastic motor mount, so you got more vibration with new installation it defeats the purpose.

      The COBB mount is billet aluminum and has a stiffer bushing. I love how guys like you do 0 research and then comment out of assumption. Lol.

      lol cheap plastic?? Solid Mounts are not for the Casual driver...if you make decent power Solid mounts are a must. This mount works amazing! 2010 MazdaSpeed3 - 12.32@112Mph bolt ons tuned by Nishan.

      I read it makes vibration when first install but over time it goes away
