- Kendall County was placed under a Tornado Warning this afternoon after NWS Doppler radar showed a storm capable of producing a tornado. The sirens were activated, and fire departments sent out their spotters. No tornadic activity was reported and the Warning expired at 14:15 hrs.
Sirens are ASC T-128s. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
For some reason, sirens really freak me out. Like just imagine you sleeping, or having a party, and you hear that siren, and you just know utter destruction is coming.
Hi Sanai for real tho I’d scream if I heard it it’s sooo creepy
Like two years ago there was a tornado heading in my direction, at my house the sirens caned on three times in a row. But there was no tornado heading are direction. We went back to sleep after a while and turns out there’s another tornado
Hi sanai their not scarry it's just a sound chill out
Nothing eerier than a tornado siren, especially if its calm out.
Yeah, my flood warnings sound the same as that and I thought that it was a fucking nuclear siren. It scared the crap outta me. I was probably like 10 or something
No nuclear sirens are way worse
Federal Signal 508 sirens and Eclipse sirens are also haunting. We had them in Nashville when I lived there (they are still there) - they replaced a system of ATIs.
Or at night
In Cedar Rapids Iowa the sirens went off before the bad Derecho 8 10 2020 and it was eerily calm before that storm too then about 2 to 4 minutes after the sirens shut down the shelf cloud and Derecho came in and did alot of damage. Did these sirens in Yorkville go off before that Derecho when it came into Illinois from Iowa on 8 10?
It's so creepy it's the calm before the storm
Carter Rose Agree I remember having a tornado in Kansas and I would always hear a siren all the way in the distance and the EAS on my flat screen and radio and the thunderstorms over me. Fuck this is creepy in real life as well.
@@Cantu2001 my cellphone has severe weather warnings through accuweather and the sound I selected on my phone for the alert was a 2t22 Federal signal siren in steady alert. It went off one time for a tornado watch not a warning when I was at work startled me especially when I saw it was a tornado watch for our area. This was in March 2019 and not in a tornado prone area, especially in March
Not for me
Man, that's the last sound you wanna hear
the first for me :)
Creeperboy Then hope its the last! o.o
I really wanna experience that
I was walking home and I saw black skies and the siren went off
Hid in a restaurant for 2 hours lol
@@aintnoway686 that's for sure
Tornado siren ambiance is beautiful.
The dead silence gives you goosebumps on your goosebumps
Why does this siren terrify the shit out of me?
same
+UDubFootballFan..... likely because we know that they only sound when something nasty is about to happen!! Sirens always mean trouble!
+57aflo or that help us on the way (firetrucks ambulance etc)
Enderlox gamingMC Yes that's true......but firetrucks and ambulances still mean you are in trouble!! Sirens always mean trouble.
True
oooooh those sirens bring back chill and memories
fucking right?
this is pretty much exactly where i live, and i can confirm it is just as terrifying as it sounds
Weather has always interested me. Always weary of a tornado in my area but when they're in an area where nobody is at risk for being hurt I love watching it.
Did they list a town called "Sandwich"?
rofl I think they did.
They did.
Yeah there's 3 towns in Illinois that go, from left to right , Plano Baloney Sandwich
owen davies I'm dying
shodowhater blahahahahah
Absolute no sound. Except for a car and obviously the siren and the walkie talkie. It was dead silent. Hearing this is creepy on a silent day. Man still gives me the chills.
ASC T-128's are the sirens heard. I like the pitch of these ones. Not too high, not too low.
Paul Spomer unlike a 2001, man that is all my county has, and there is one less than 800 feet from my house. Annoying as fuck.
They sound more like thunderbolt 1000 single tones
I re listened I guess they are t128s. In this video they sound alot like tbolt 1000 single tones
Their Modulators or high toned
@@chyrlieroberts3394 They are not modulators. You’re hearing T-128s
The Scanner you have is a Radio Shack Pro-83 (200 channel Hand-held or pocket scanner).
A tornado warning is worth it when you want to hear a good siren go off
not my sandwich it took forever to make :(
Trainer lmao
I love the Fox Valley area. It is so nice!
Once I was listening to the radio and it says a tornado watch was issued and later it said a tornado warning was issued. I saw a funnel cloud, but no tornados in my town. But there was an EF-3, F-1 and F-0 about 40 miles from my house.
Your neighbourhood looks so nice
Where are the sirens located, on people's streets or? I live in Canada, we don't get much action here lol
Amy Richardson Generally yes, they just put them in places in or around neighborhoods. It's also very common for them to be on or near government buildings such as fire/police stations or town hall.
Amy Richardson Sirens throughout the USA are 1 mile apart, and are anywhere needed. They are mostly on people's streets in neighborhoods and near schools.
Or here in stl they are spamed more then a political yt coment secshon
Same
It differs due to siren type and the preference of the city/county. Usually, they are not placed next to somebody's house, rather at the nearest park, school, fire department, etc. Sirens are typically placed between 1 and 2 miles apart.
I think people would freak out a lot less if the sirens weren't so terrifying
True but at the same time People need to be alerted so something like this would get people moving
Why do I watch this stuff
Hello Topic Cuz you can.
BEACUSE your cool
zak what time was it when u start recording
We have Whelens and a Sentry 3v8h over in Bremen, Ohio and all around southeastern Ohio.
Okay does sandwich IL sponsor Subway or what? Also the T-128s are truly a masterpiece!
i live in yorkville (kendall county) what neighborhood do you live in?
Over here in Oswego. So jealous you guys get raging waves.
I used to live in Illinois and would hear this a lot as a Kindergartner and younger
The siren sounds so close by what’s the address of the siren do you know
What Scanner?
I am not trying to say that catastrophic scenes are good but I kinda like the feeling you get from that siren alarm.
I'm out in elgin and heard a siren go off. I was surprised to hear it because the storm didn't seem that bad.
Aaa and I hear the sirens again. God why am I watching this when real sirens are going off. Uh oh.
Oh my god are you okay?! I'm so scared!
I live in Oswego we have these in Kendall County all the time
As someone from a country with no severe weather I swear to god this sound scares the living shit out of me
that siren is music to my ears
Blubber thank God in not the only one.
I like it too
Same
I live in north aurora I remember this the series went off when it was sunny and not a cloud in the sky and that's when I knew that it must be really bad
Here in Arizona, we don't have those awesome looking red trees in the fall... its sad.
I live in sugar grove IL and I remember that!
Nothing like waking up on the first Tuesday every month and hearing this and freaking the fuck out
Did the tornado come
I live in NE Illinois & they changed the traditional air raid sirens over to these trumpet sounding sirens & I can't even imagine why ? the old air raid was way more distinctive,it was the norm, sometimes you can't even hear the style in this video if your windows are closed,or it can sound like a plane screaming The old ones you knew immediately.
Tjfreak Well the reason why you cannot hear sirens indoors is because they are outdoor warning systems. These systems are meant to warn people outside to move indoors and turn on your TV or NOAA weather radio for more information and follow your tornado emergency plan.
Honestly, I think sirens just make tornados more creepy and scary than they would be normally =3
Sirens always scare me, especially when its dead quiet outside.
I used to live in Yorkville, IL. Great town! I'd hate to see a tornado hit it I really would.
I agree, can’t have any tornadoes taking out Raging Waves.
Was this today?
Love those sirens
A Radioshack scanner I don't know the exact model. I have had it for awhile.
is it possible to install a siren in your backyard? I want the madulator 2008
You could, though i imagine you would have to talk to the city council about that, and you can only use it if, and only if, there was a warning out. I would also imagine you would need something that certifies you to have something like that in your background
+Michael Benedict I think some CZcams people have sirens at there home so ask them.
I like 2t22s better thats what my town has
Did you just say "madulator", thats sounds like a badass tornado siren
Recognise these NWS warnings from a song intro. They're impressively consistent.
We had a similar storm like that near Omaha but the sirens didn't go off
What siren is that, it sounds like a p-10 ish but I have no clue
ASC T-128
I hope everyone was ok
Sandwich?
yep, the police cars there say Sandwich police
GravityX999 _ help that man just stole my BLT. Lol xD
I live up in Cook Co. and got a good video with the siren, aswell.
i dont have a siren within like a 10 mile radius in my county... i dunno
This Siren is a asc t 128 whit bult in flower
Nothing spotted in Kendall County.
there was a tornado that threw a tree branch at my house the siren was destroyed by it as it went off
Siren sounds like an ASC T-128.
It is
Meu sonho morar em um lugar lindo desses
Pff. My town hears shit like this every month. We test it on the first Saturday every month. Very annoying.
GrandStrategyFan99 yeah until you hear it go off for an actual warning and it saves your life.
a place near me does it everyday at noon to tell everyone its noon but it goes off for like a 3 seconds i also record the tests
Wear hearing protection then.
We have the same sounding siren in Nashville. I think they might be universal for tornadoes.
Chicago has the eeriest noise for a tornado. I saw a video and it looked like a start of a zombie apocalypse
Zachery Oberg We had a tornado warning in Chicago a few mj utes ago...
Zachery Oberg In texas , tornadoes believe it or not, sound like trains,I almost had a tornado touch down in my neighborhood.
In mass we used to hear them a lot
Nashville has Eclipse 8s and 508s for their sirens and they have the same sound as the T-128 and T-121
i have been in tornados it is winds up to 100 miles an hour
it is an American signal tempest (t) 128. ACDC.
Tornado sirens always scares me
tbolt with a A1 series blower on high chopper level?
kinda sounds that way at the start
I live in Illinois and tornados dont hit my house cus the trees protect my home
Elsa rosa that’s bullshit, trees cannot stop a tornado, heck an f3 tornado will turn those trees into missiles. You’re house will be gone man.
that was a crazy storm hit my house hard
thats awesome! nice catch. the weather here in western mass is so boring. cant wait to move to florida.
Anonymous Anonymous did you move there yet, if so how did Irma affect you? Was it a little too exciting?
it sounds like the song they play when you are in call of duty world at war map
What siren is that?
ASC T-128
Pretty sure that's a Radioshack Pro-83.
what siren ? was it, I'm pretty sure it rotates
ASC T-128
Sounds like silent hill is coming
We have those in my town that sound exactly like that. I always thought it was a nuclear alarm since we don't get tornados here. Just warnings.
The warnings mean you do get tornadoes there. Any of those warning could have became a tornado emergency with one on the ground and half of your neighborhood destroyed by it.
I remember watching this video
hi zak are you a storm spotter
there's no tornado sirens in MD so how would we know if there's a tornado warning if we weren't watching TV?
You could purchase a NOAA Weather Alert Radio, which will activate when a warning is issued for your county.
In MD we don't have tornados as much As the "tornado Ally". We most mostly get hurricanes 😉
Same in VA. But thats why we bought a weather radio (it goes off the same as the tv if theres severe tstorm, tornado, hurricane, ect)
xXGoldenButterflyXx Tornados aren't common in WV but even small towns have emergency sirens. So I'm surprised that VA wouldn't have them.
It sends signals to your phone sometimes
Awesome
😖the first siren that gave me the willies and the warning don't help
Trust me, that isn't all they are worried about.
jesus christ that siren can throw sound.
That's because it's rotating.
Jacob Tompke thats a t-128 for you :) the new asc t-135s are 4 times as loud
@@neosho53059 the old P15 was loud too
Scary.
Tempest-128 ? nice siren T-128
I was only two when this happened!
I miss living in yorkville:/
Federal Signal 508. my area has a full system of them.
I've went to Yorkville a few times, they're all ASC T-128s.
It happened a day after my birthday in 2012
I lived in Moore Oklahoma and I remember the powerful tornado my house was destroyed now I live in Kansas :)
Not much of an upgrade tornado safety wise.
+BaseBall Catcher28 fucking dead 💀💀💀💀💀💀
@@borderlinebaseball5852 I don't think it's an upgrade at all
The name of the siren is 1:28
Hey, if you have an iPhone, there is a GREAT Scanner App with all the Frequencies built in to it already. It is called 5-0 Radio Free. Just FYI.
Wait you have the Walking talking to activate the Sirens 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
Heavy like sandvich!
Yes it was.
Siren Name: ASC T-128
The sound of the 👼 trumpet
I think it's an ASC T-128
