Composed originally by McCartney in 1969 during The Beatles' Abbey Road album sessions, it was later given to Apple band Badfinger.
This new version is taken from the Hollywood Vampires album (Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Johnny Depp supergroup), which features McCartney on lead vocals, piano and bass, and drummer Abe Laboriel, Jr.
The footage is from the behind the scenes session.
I love the two Hollywood Vampires CD’s. I’m 68 and can’t stop listening to them. Haven’t been this turned on with a band in many years.
I got turned on to them about 6 months ago can not stop listening to them. Awesome

So Paul writes a song for ANOTHER group, and it becomes a mega-hit. Even when Badfinger performed it, the Beatle DNA was unmistakable. Just like "A World without Love" (Peter and Gordon).
He didn't write it for another brand
I remember listening to this song on the radio (the original as sung by Badfinger) when I was about 4 years old. I loved it! And was not a bit surprised to find out later that The Beatles wrote it, being a huge fan. To hear it sung by Paul and the gang here makes me smile. 😊

God, what a great video!!! So many greats in one room!!! I can remember when Bob Ezrin had longer thicker hair than Alice!!! And the song “Come and Get It” which Paul gave the group Badfinger to record when they were starting out on the Apple label which became a big hit in the 70s. So many great memories. Thank for the video upload.
Yes, the song was made famous by Badfinger, but it's a McCartney composition that could have been a Beatles song on Abbey Road. Story goes that Paul brought it to the studio for consideration, but John didn't like it and nixed the idea. Badfinger needed some songs and Paul was supportive of them, so he suggested they record it. The rest is history.

@@SR11266 Paul’s demo is from 1969 when his voice was pristine. I like Badfinger and their version (which McCartney taught them) , but Paul’s voice was always suited better for the song (as he wrote it).

Paul McCartney wrote the song in the 1960s and showed Badfinger how to play it… It’s really a McCartney song.

It is now part of the Beatles catalogue (it’s basically a finished song as George Martin Produced it for Anthology) as Come and get it can not only be found on The Beatles Anthology 3 (1996), but also on the Abbey Road 50th anniversary box set (2019). Yes, The Beatles didn’t release the song at the time and only McCartney is on it (Yesterday, Blackbird, etc), but it’s now part of The Beatles catalogue regardless and McCartney wrote the song. It’s amazing that one of Badfingers biggest hits they didn’t even write. That’s how talented The Beatles were as a band and they also had plenty of hits they didn’t write like Twist and shout. That being said I love the band Badfinger, just always felt their voices were off for the song…

Magic Christian? it is indeed about money, but that is the theme of the movie. It was recorded by Badfinger, not by Paul. It is on the soundtrack.
