I love blocking in levels. All that freedom to really let the level evolve.
Its so cool how the artistic disciplines overlap. I feel this is no different than with starting a painting.

How did you do the screenshots from the exact same spot after you rendered the level in hammer editor?
Find a good view, then in console, type "getpos" without quotes to get a long set of values, copy those values and keep them. Next time you want to take a screenshot from that position, paste the copies values into console and your pov camera will jump right to it.
