    A lot of coaches tell me to find an nba player that plays like me and model my game off of them. Is this a good idea or not? If it is is there any way to really truly figure out the nba player that plays like me(like a test or any videos or even if you made a video on that)?

      @TheAftermathxDouglas Před 10 měsíci +1

      @griddzy3390 yes and no. If there is an NBA player who has a similar play style to you, you should totally steal some moves and such. But I wouldn’t follow their exact mechanics bc each player has to develop their own mechanics like shooting, passing, foot work ,etc

      You certainly can study from and learn from players. And that doesn’t have to be limited to one player. The best players can take inspiration from a number of different sources. Best thing you can do is WATCH a ton of basketball and a ton of different players, if you find something that jumps out at you dive deeper into it. But ultimately you’re going to have your own unique game and style so don’t try to be someone else.

    Question, isn't the little hop after the catch a travel?

    • @VisionDrivenBasketball
      @VisionDrivenBasketball  Před 6 měsíci

      Nope. Never gets called assuming it happens right on or a split second after the catch

    I am a good shooter and can make shots but I never shoot because I am too nervous how to fix this

    Body and ball goes up at the same moment, NOT ball first! Watch you own shooting motion. On three pointers do a dip and don't listen to people who says this is a waist of time. It gives you power and rhytmen! And also work on proper pickup of the dribble, even the hard ones, like pickups form behind the back, trough the legs and also from bad passes.

      Not true. Slow it down and look. The ball moves first. This is true with every good shooter. I agree with everything else you said.
