The production quality on your videos is insane! Keep doing what you’re doing.
here in portugal this card is cheaper than the 1080ti trio version.
so... yeaaah... I'm looking forward to buy one of these.
Wanted to go 1080 ti until I realised 2080 was cheaper here in Denmark with and without black friday sales.
Just picked one up with black friday sales in Aus, but let's still hope ray tracing comes in clutch 🤪
Andreas Zacchi Same.
Andreas Zacchi Because the 2080 is a worse card than the 1080 TI
@@Athasin lollll how? Huge performance increase for rendering out mirrors (water, reflections) in 3d art and as for gaming it does everything the 1080ti does but 1-4 percent better with better noise levels and temps. And with continued support for gaming in the future who knows how ray tracing will be applied then.
Thank you for having footage of the actual card on the bench! So many people look at specific cards with LEDs and other aesthetics to them but don't ever connect them to a PC to show how it looks. Kinda ridiculous, but thankfully you have the sense to show them!
Bro i swear i love your videos, so professional you need more subs ima share your vid on my socials.
Thanks a lot!
Gotta admit it: I freaking love the new cooler design! Something I have never said about an MSI card ever. So glad they finally got rid of the red accent/color scheme. They have clearly looked at the Strix and improved on the design. Good job MSI!
if they just extended the pcb and made the left fan same size as the other 2 it would make it look sooo much better
I agree, this was my first quirk with the design.
They'd of course run into issues with NVlink compatibility between cards.
@@optimumtech most people would use nvlink with the same cards. Well I hope they would as it looks better And also they already did extend the pcb but just cut it of at where the nvlink connectors are. Oh well at least there's more support for other versions
@Bruce Banner it won't the nvlink connectors is 1 mill from the plastic covering the fan
have you looked at the card before writing the comment?
Crazy how all this time has passed since the 2080 came out and I actually got one for 250 usd and 1050ti went up in price
These new cards look good but enormous, I'd be actually interested to see which cards can actually fit inside a mini ITX case like your dan a4 sfx or something like a louqe ghost s1
U deserve more subs for sure, keep up the great work, awesome content, honest man, very informative
The gap between a 1080ti 11gb and msi's rtx 2080 8gb "in my region" is $50
Me too live in romania this rtx 2080 msi is about 1000 dolars
I wish I would have built my computer a month ago when 1080ti's were still in stock... Now they are not and the rumors (maybe fact) are that they will not be producing any more 1080ti's... So, when I purchased all of my parts for my new rig last night, I ended up having to shell out $849 for the MSI Gaming Trio RTX 2080... Don't get me wrong, sounds like a great card. But for $849.... When just about a month or two ago you could find 1080ti's for ~$650-700 every day of the week... Feelshorriblybadman.
God dammit $850? This card cost like $1,100 in here
@@ditdisini 850$ for me for this card, 1200-1300$ for the 2080 TI
Buy a 1070ti for only 500 bucks.
Which is better TITAN X or 2080ti
i think ppl are making a mistake by going with the 1080ti over the 2080. the 2080 is more powerful over all in present day games with half its power tied behind its back plus the cooler design is much better than the blower style when considering the founders edition cards. Once games become raytraced, and the RYX cards really begin to shine, ppl who bought the 10 series cards are going to feel real stupid knowing they could have gotten a much better card for $100 more. Even with raytracing aside, you are still getting a better deal with the 2080 over the 1080ti.
its about money. the average idiot only cares about the cost.. to him, same frames is same value, these people reprezent the majority of people who hover around 85 IQ. you really shouldnt take that serious..theyre poor because theyre dumb in the first place.
vic berlin yeah enjoy your 30fps sub 1080p. Raytraced you dumb
Exactly. I’m buying a 2080 because I rather have a new card that will improve over time instead of a 2 year old card that is most likely been mined or irrelevant
@@user-gw1qj6yc9d It doesn't run at sub 30 fps lol. It runs at 60+fps
Nobody buys FE cards. And 2080 is actually -5% slower than 1080ti. Not to mention more expensive than new 1080tis.
Unfortunately nvidia locked the VCore control on RTX cards.
But but but. They're built for overclocking (tm).
they did this on pascal too.
@@lort6022 They lock the VCore on all their cards because they're familiar with their own architecture. You get optimal performance/lifespan ratio.
Let's face it, 2.5 slots effectively means three slots. BobUK
As someone whos in the process of building a pc the 2080 seems to be the better choice its going to improve with more updates and its also cheaper than the 1080ti
@YJM Strat When the 2080 super comes out you'll have a 2080 Ti at 2080 prices, so wait for that.
Great review been waiting for this one excellent quality production
I will buy this model for the hope of DLSS
Definitelly the one you need to buy if you play games AND do some GPU rendering on your computer. RTX way more improved for this specific stuff and RTX is going to be implemented in many games now since even AMD move to RTX technology and even movie right now start to be rendering in "in-game" engines
This is what i planned to get... Until i saw the actual test results and got a 1080 Ti for almost 100 euros less.
For current games Ray Tracing is useless but DLSS really help increase performance significantly that's the only benefit of buying RTX 2080 card now and it worth the extra 100USD imo.
yea man i think rtx 2080 is still worth that plus 100 euros, due to ray tracing and dlcc to improve the fps, and just “future-proofing” urself in general.
I can't speak for 2080ti, but I agree that 2080 is still worth it. It costs more or less the same here in Canada (2080 vs 1080ti) and you get newer tech, new fan, and those 2 new cores which we actually are paying for. If digital foundary analysis holds through across other games, as in if DLSS actually gives 2080 a 60% lead in performance over 1080ti, that's gonna be huge. Also I heard that 2080ti gets a 97% fps boost vs 1080ti which is insane. (considering that I have a 165hz 1440p monitor, I won't ever need to upgrade my gpu for like 5+ years with that kind of monstrous performance).
Not worth it in my opinion. Here in Finland the cheapest 1080 Ti is from EVGA, it's 790 euros. The cheapest 2080, on the other hand, is 900 euros. 110 euros is 130 USD. So not, it does not worth it for me.
@@Yuu_Touko yeah I've heard of that dreaded prices in European countries. So yeah it really depends on where you live too unfortunately
0:22 yeah but when RTX titles come, everybody moans: I can't run those on my 1080ti... mimimimimimi
You buy a 1080ti for 1440p or 4k gaming and it's already been leaked you won't even get RT games to run at 60fps @1080p. This whole RT thing will be a bust..
This we have to wait and see if its true! I'm concerned too by this that Tomb Raider at Gamescom apparently with a 2080ti could not hit 60Fps@1080p! I want a 2080ti, but will wait until those first 2-3 Games launch with RTX Effects and be Reviewed and Benched.
@@knives6683 The BF V devs has about a week to implement it thanks to Nvidia. (I doubt Tomb raider is very different)
That's impressive for a week, you should see better performance in the future. Nvidia's crapshit execution of this launch is what I'm concerned about.
@@tat2thadevil94 Guess what? It's trash. BFV proved it. It's better to just run it on Ultra at 4k instead of turning on RTX.
@@youtuberobbedmeofmyname true
Will the lack of power balancing on this card make a difference if I’m not over locking but gaming for long sessions at a time?
Your videos are really well made, keep it up!
Just Bought it. Working Amazingly!!!
Don't forget about DLSS!. It maybe a gamechanger when it comes to AA quality and FPS performance increase.
Yep, hopefully DLSS meets everyone's expectations!
I'm getting a 2080ti and I hope this to be the case. But if I can't utilise it for 1440p gaming to offload AA I probably won't use it.
People who complain about the results being similair to 1800p upscaled don't realise that DLSS is machine learning and that it will only improve over time to deliver better results.
maybe not now but soon :D
Bought this card based on the Various online reviews, It's a fantastic card with great temps / overclocking and ascetics ( I'v Uploaded some real world Gameplay on my channel )
Bought it Discounted when the Super Cards released from £800 to £640 and it came with Wolfenstein youngblood / Control and a MSI GH60 Headset......
Great 4K gamer even with 8GB of Vram, The speed on the Vram makes up for it.....its far superior to a 1080ti,
Hi, since I can't see for sure, you use 1 PCI-E cable with two sockets or 2 cables and plug 1 cable to each socket? Thanks in advance.
hows the coil whine on the RTX cards? Most GTX cards had alot of coil whine wich was really annoying for me.
Where are the 140mm of the gpu’s height from? I mean the tip-to-tip points. Thank you 😊
First a big thank you for your crisp clear and detailed video bro.
Got mine today. Stressed - only two fans spinning. Breath - its suppose to do that. Tri frozr tech.
One small detail i can mention for all new buyers. The label "RTX GeForce" on the side of gpu. Seems like its not a rgb light at all. Only Msi and Dragon logo illuminating. Weird that its not lighted considering the amount of effort spend creating this beauty.
Other than that. Solid
currently looking around for gpu's. Im aiming for evga 1080ti ftw3 and this one (so far) 2080.
the 1080ti = $810 (amazon) while the msi rtx 2080 is $850 at bestbuy (got a discount now down to $765). With this I am leaning towards the 2080, but ill do more research
Hey what did you end up getting?
in italy at the moment the 1080ti has the same price of a rtx2080. Is it good to get the rtx2080? i'm scared about the possibility of price increase for the rtx2080...
Hey can you do an overclocked GTX1080ti in comparison to OC RTX2080
I really like the quality of msi products, it's just.... uhhhhg... dragons
Would you recommend this card or the sapphire nitro+ card?
I got a questions, would this card fit in the Nzct h500i vertically? or is it too big and would touch the glass?Nice vid btw
I just built my computer and I have the h500 with this card and I believe it would work!
The 2080 seems more future proof to me. If you buy the 1080, you will be left behind eventually.
So i have a i7- 6700k, 16 gb of RAM, and a gtx 1070 and want to upgrade to a evga 2080, will my cpu bottleneck it really?
Great review, how did the gigabyte gaming oc fare?
Review of the 2080 Ti Gaming OC up on the channel later this week
This or Asus RTX 2080? Not sure which one has better quality parts... also therei s STRIX and DUAL models from Asus with 100€ difference
How does this compare to the MSI rtx 2080 Ventus OC? Other than one has 3 fans and the other has 2...
here in canada i can get a 2080 for only $50 more then a 1080ti. sooo.... ya boi gonna have ray tracing and dlss
Do you have to use 2x 8 pin and 1x 6 pin cable or is it just additional for oc?
Please do a review on msi 2080 duke
For gamers the RTX technology isn't really worth it right now but for anyone that does 3D work where ray tracing is much more common, they're more than worth it.
With 8gb of VRAM not worth it even for 3D work

Hi. I got this graphics card in a prebuilt system. When I received it in the mail, the support bracket was completely popped out. Should I contact the website I got it from? Is it going to damage the card if I don’t have the bracket under. Another question is: do you know where the bracket sits to hold the card? When I place it under where I think it should go, it just slips off. I have been using it without the bracket under for 2 months ish.
Should it be possible to use a NZXT G12 on this absolute beast ?
I got mine today and the thing is HUGE. So far only played pubg and ran valley benchmark. It scored a little above my 1080s in sli. I think sli and crossfire are pointless now days.
getting one tomorrow or the day after in the mail. i think it is still a banger of a card
is it worth to pay 200 euros more to buy this instead of 2070 msi trio?
Got this card and im struggling with it :( when gaming hard temps hit 80+ and fans are like starting harrier. Yeah, partly cause poor airflow, but then i noticed thermal pads from side are sticking out instead being between card and heatsink. IDK if i should RMA card or if they just brush me off.
2:14 you have a bent pin on your motherboard and it's triggering me
What the fuck are you talking aboiy
i got this card and its worth every penny.
69lewie indeed even I own it ❤️
not sure if 12 phase controllers exist yet, may be a 10 phase controller with two of the phases doing nothing like the reference
Is precision better than afterburner?
Is there a foil security on the fans that needs to be removed????
Does somebody knows why this card is 200 USD more expensive than the MSI GeForce RTX 2080 AERO (8GB, High-end) ? Thanks for your help!
I was going to get a GTX 1080 Ti, but I've decided on getting it because of DLSS. No, it's not out yet, but when it does come (and I know this is solely on the promise of Nvidia),
but straight up lying to people would be tantamount to giving AMD all their secrets and killing the company. I believe them. You might say, well look at the Ray Tracing
performance. It was on an RTX 2080 Ti and they only got 60 FPS playing BFV on 1080p and yeah, I totally agree. If people are buying it for RT, then they are going to be REALLY disappointed, but Nvidia didn't lie. Ray Tracing will be the shit around the RTX 40xx series, but now....no way. So, why get it? As I said, DLSS. To over simplify it, it's anti-aliasing on steroids, plus 64x supersampling the image up to 4k. I don't know what older games will get it, but the games that I want will get it and the games that don't, then.... they'll run like a GTX 1080 Ti. If I didn't believe DLSS was going to be a factor, I'd skip it. I just don't believe Nvidia is going to try to lie or trick everyone. They won't get away with it if they tried something like that and as overpriced as they are, they're worth it. What I'm pissed about is the price of the 1080 Ti. If they had the 1080 Ti $600 or less (which they might on BF and CM), but I'm looking toward the future. I won't be upgrading for a long time.
Another thing to consider is driver optimization. The RTX drivers will get better over time. This is almost like starting over in a sense, like when the GeForce was first released. It's not quite that dramatic of a difference when the GeForce 256 was first released, but they're balancing GTX and RTX all on the same driver. Of course the priority is going toward the RTX cards, but they can't "slow down" the pascal and older cards either. It's not like I wouldn't put it past Nvidia, because I know they're past. I'm old. My first computer was the Commodore=64, the original. I was around 12 I think.
Remember Apple getting busted for intentionally slowing down older iPhones. I don't know what happened with that, other than, they reversed it, but the people that were affected should have been given their choice of either the iPhone X or $1000. These companies think people are stupid and won't know the difference. Not the enthusiasts. If I had an older iPhone I sure would have. Anyway, for those of you that are getting a 1080 Ti instead, I completely understand. I was originally going to get an RTX 2070. I have a GTX 1070 right now and while the 2070 is faster than the 1070, I'm just VERY unhappy with the RT crap. It will be what everyone's talking about in 3 to 5 years, but right now, the cards should be getting framerates close to Volta cards because of all the CUDA and allot of Tensor cores. Honestly, I think Nvidia should have sat on Ray Tracing for another 2 years at least, but I've heard AMD is also working on Ray Tracing using a different approach. Anyway, if the 1080 Ti drops to $600 or lower, I might end up getting one too. It would allow me to get an i7 9700k and a Z790 mobo.
RT in BF V is already running at 60fps+ and DICE is working on optimizations to enable higher frames and better resolutions. Ray tracing will for sure be playable at 1440p 60fps if they succeed with their plan for optimizing.
It is selling for 370 pounds right now should i sell the 2070 super i got for 270 pounds for about 400 pounds then get this?

I would like to highlight that extreme gddr6 of 950mhz should be related to special app. Based on my gtx 1080ti and pretty good gddr5x oc of 350mhz, I’ve found it was not stable only on final fantasy which was using up to 10.6go of gddr5x...:) thus we have to be more cautious on vram oc...:)

Damn i need a new Gpu already
people saying it's not worth over a 1080 ti are on a huge L route. the 1080 is dated compared to the 2080 which is still not at performance peek yet and will be upgraded over time, where as the 1080 ti's are almost out of stock and not produced anymore. you should really reconsider that choice. let alone the technology. and with a 1080ti you are already investing into a high end gpu as the 1080 ti is still a beast, so you might aswell just take those 100 bucks and buy a 2080. it IS NOT worth it to upgrade from 1080 ti to 2080 that's true ofc but it's exactly that much stupid to buy a 1080ti over a 2080 because of 11gigs VRAM which make literally no differance because the RTX performs better anyway in every game, just compare the benchmarks. i got a Gaming X Trio for 700€ from ebay, believe it or not and i have seen SEVERAL MORE ranging from 700 to 800 too. so you better think, compare and look. basically the motto when it comes to 1080 ti's and 2080s is. 1080ti upgrade to 2080 not worth it. choosing 2080 over 1080ti when buying a new one DEFINFATELY worth it !

Omg where did u take these numbers?when i play metro exodus on this card its runing too hot 80-85 C in phanteks case with two 140 mm fans on the front
Every case and cooling setup is different. You can see in the video he has an open air setup which would stay pretty cool in a cold room. Use MSI afterburner to make a custom fan curve. I have the thermaltake 20 MT case which doesn't get great reviews for cooling so I added some case fans to exhaust at the top, and made a custom fan curve of 50% at 40c, 60% at 50c etc, and I've been maxing out at about 60c during gaming.
are you saying you only have 2 fans in the front lol
Does it fit in Ncase M1?
how can you save money on a new $750-850 2080 by buying a $1000-1200 (used/renewed)1080ti?
Whether it’s worth it to buy the 1080ti or 2080 is based entirely on where you live, where I live for example a used 1080ti is much cheaper than a 2080 However, a new 1080ti is more expensive, so I am getting the same card in this video
