The way you just can't keep from smiling during the trailer is the most wholesome thing I've seen in ages.
I remember watching Ultimate Muscle on Fox Kids when I was, well, a kid. Seeing the Japanese franchise continuing after what feels like forever is really heartwarming. Plus, it looks amazing

I'm pleased with the colors the first batch of Perfect Large Numbers got. Didn't expect Peak-a-boo to be burgundy with pale skin, but it suits him better than any traditional baby colors would.

Thank you. I still want to see a Kongo Bancho anime someday. Aside from Otokojuku I guess the next one I would want is a Iron Fist Tough adaptation. That only had a 3 episode OVA. I'd like Golgo 13 & Cobra to come back sparingly with some new content like Lupin does.

I'm already impressed by these few seconds.
After many years the Kinnikuman Series is finally getting it's reboot just like Sailor Moon Crystal, Shaman King, and Tokyo Mew Mew, however someone mention that this series is a sequel were the last story of Kinnikuman became King of Muscle Planet left off. I was a bit disappoint that the Japanese writers weren't planning to do the reboot of Kinnikuman from the 80's because I always wanted to see the version especially the Scramble for the Throne Arc but I am willing to give this new anime series a chance but who knows maybe the writers will also be planning to do the sequel for Ultimate Muscle in the future🤞.
With the brand new Kinnikuman anime coming in 2024, I think they should released the whole original Series in SBDS Blu-Ray as anniversary to celebrate.
Japan already released most of the 1983 anime on SD bluray. There's a few episodes that haven't been released which is the two filler arcs of 1983's finale. Scramble For The Throne is entirely on bluray. Hopefully, these releases can come to Region 1 someday. This new anime should have some flashback sequences or at least I hope it does.

Yeah I saw your comment on Twitter. I think Robin Mask's armor is a different material now which could explain the color change. But then all the other characters have too much red and whites.
@@THEAnimeHERO I know and I have to make my comment here too. There’s some manga colors I can accept like Neptunemans manga color but not all manga colors too. Though Ultimate Muscle did have some Manga colors at least they still kept Terryman Blonde hair and blue attire and mixed Warsman manga and anime colors too.
Thank you for dropping some history info. I've been sleeping on this series. I really liked the Ultimate Muscle series that aired on Fox Kids. This teaser definitely makes me want to jump back in.
You're welcome. Unfortunately, while UM will give you an idea of the tone & the types of characters to expect the writing will be different. The violence will also be significantly brutal. The Ultimate Muscle anime, both in Eng & Jpn, had reduced violence from the manga. Kinda wish the new anime started with the Ultimate Muscle Tag aka Kinnikuman Nisei Choujin Tag. This manga was a time travel arc which featured the legacy part 1 characters and the Ultimate Muscle cast. I felt this would've been a better introduction to get the American market and segue into Japan's core fandom with this current anime.
Oh and if you're interested, Ultimate Muscle (dub only) has recently arrived on SD bluray with all 77 episodes. It's much better quality than what you can find online since most of those footage have watermarks and warped aspect ratios.
@@THEAnimeHERO Thanks for the heads up. I've been trying to get a lot of blu ray sets lately. And I was wondering how much of the violence was reduced for UM. I knew Fox Kids were editing some stuff, but I also realized the show itself is tamed compared to other versions of the series.
Great reaction man! I used to watch Ultimate Muscle on fox kids when I was young it was pretty cool and hilarious. I agree that the original and this new one look leagues better
The ironic part is I didn't watch much of Ultimate Muscle when it aired. It was more of a case of I was waiting for the next thing to come on. Not sure if I remembered the schedule correctly, but I definitely saw a lot of TMNT 2003 & Sonic X and the occasional Kirby Right Back at Ya!"

Rikiishiman doesn't get much appearances but whenever Geronimo shows up it's never a good time. XD
Though i couldn't actually contain my hype i sort of held my breath until we got the first real look at it and i can say for sure it not only did not disappoint but shattered all of my expectations, it looks beyond awesome and even if i never finished the Perfect Origin arc in the manga i feel like this will be a huge opportunity to catch up on what i've been missing for the past years, even if we got the sorta boring manga colors i think it blended nicely with the hyper detailed muculature of the recent art style, would not be short of calling it beautiful. Hope the presumably new voice cast is up to the cast of giving life to these characters with as much passion as the original.
The teaser was one of the first things i saw when i woke up and i share your sentiment of wanting it to keep going, till now i've probably rewatched this teaser over 5 times.
I'm less paranoid and my optimism is way more solid than the FotNS remake, hope we also get more info on it soon and that the quality of what we first see at least is on par or even surpasses this, i guess FotNS at least had a much worse track record with anime on the 2000s than Kinnikuman but i am still willing to hope the remake will be a fine preservation of Hara's and Buronson's vision original vision in the anime format
Once we can see footage of Shin Arc violence that'll give me an idea how the rest of the series will be. Kinnikuman 2024 looks great. I'm still curious on the sound department. I didn't bring this up but it is amazing how manga accurate those designs are. It captures Yoshinori Nakai's art style perfectly. Baki 2018 doesn't quite look like the manga. So maybe we'll be seeing very manga accurate panels for Kin 2024. The Manga 40th anniversary animation was very spot on. Even though this teaser lasted mere seconds it already has me mesmerized. Hope to see Sakigake!! Otokojuku come back and maybe Kongo Bancho can finally get an anime.

@@THEAnimeHERO indeed…and to add to that i really wish they hadn’t silently cancelled the cobra ova anime that was in production 🫤..hopefully they bring it back now since the passing of the creator. And to add to all these revivals.
One thing that strikes me right away is that the colors are less saturated than I thought they would be, it concerns me a little bit because the Kinnikuman world is one full of color, also the track they used for the trailer sounds like you're playing a fromsoftware game, I hope the comical but also adventurous doesn't get the boot. Animation-wise, it's looking very good, I hope they can keep the schedule with a good momentum all the way to the end of the series.
I'm really hoping it excels in animation because the old anime really needed mobility. The detail in 2024 is looking great and is on par with the manga artstyle.
In fact, I'm excited about Fist of the North Star

Geronimo really deserved better treatment. I just wish he didn't appear this early in the 2011 series.
When Ultimate Muscle introduced you to this franchise, it's hard to ignore. Still I hope this still has to cartooniness of the original anime and UM.
There's some outrageous moves but none of the new characters have been silly looking like Urinalman.

i've only seen the english dubbed Ultimate Muscle about Kinnikuman's son and some clips on youtube of the original Kinnikuman and both these shows are funny in my perception but this trailer has indications that this new show might be taking a darker more serious tone.
The thing is Kinnikuman was always an unassumingly violent & dark series. The main villains, the Devil Choujin, are Devil worshipers and the darkest arc of the series doesn't appear in the Ultimate Muscle anime. Admittedly, most of the lewd and violent content was reduced in the Kinnikuman Nise aka Ultimate Muscle anime adaptation. While there are comical designs & situations the majority of the fighting is very serious justice vs evil stuff. The Perfect Choujin are another group of villains which will be featured prominently in this new anime & they don't mess around. Looks good hopefully the series can pull a JoJo and become mainstream over here. Though I hope the show doesn't get into a Dragon Ball situation, where people act like anything that came before Z isn't important.
It could happen either way. I'm expecting more people confusing it for Ultimate Muscle or people watch it like Baki 2018 without knowing about it's previous part. No idea how well it'll resonate but I hope that it does get officially streamed instead of fansubs.

It's truly a good time to like Kinnikuman.
YEEEES, HYPED AF is an understatement, but hey man just by them putting the scramble for the throne scenes already makes me happy, because that's the context i wanted to the viewers, even if it's small, it's enough, now i'm hoping for other recaps to come at the right time during the episodes, i already know that Robin Mask vs Nemesis has a HUGE recap in the manga itself
but now, the animation looks good, i wonder if they will put sakuga animation in the main fights... brother if i see Kinnikuman in fucking sakuga, i'm gonna LOSE MY FUCKING MIIIIND
I'm curious about what animated sequences the anime can have. Speed isn't something that comes to mind when it comes to Kinnikuman fights. I want to be impressed by some impactful attacks. Hope the violence is brutal, too.
@@THEAnimeHERO you're right, but weirdly enough those mfers are cannonically fast AF lol, they casually travel through cities over seconds, and have some insane feats, like catching lightning and dodging light attacks (brocken jr vs prisman) and other absurd shit like Budo saying Geronimo was moving frame by frame lol,
as for the brutality, well maybe not as brutal as the manga, but i saw some blood coming out of pheonix tho

Given how much Toei keeps trying to release Saint Seiya I wouldn't be too surprised if they made an adaptation of everything they had.
Dissapointed in Max Radial's colours. It's so jarring that he is the same colour as Strong the Budo and Crush Man, so that's three of the Perfect Huge Numbers with the same or similar red colouring. Until official colours came out, I always imagined Max Radial as being either a metallic blue or metallic grey/silver and Crush Man as being brown or dark orange.
I went back and checked the 40th manga anniversary video. Max Radial is red there but with a brighter palette. Crushman doesn't appear in the anniversary video. I checked the artwork for Max Radial & Crushman in Kinnikuman Muscle Shot and they have the same colors as the anime. I guess Muscle Shot will dictate the 2024 anime colors.

If I want to get caught up to where this begins. Where do I start? The 80's anime? Or the manga? The only one I've personally seen is Ultimate Muscle, and I know that series takes place, lore wise, years after this one.
The manga is preferable, because there are some differences in continuity in the original anime, that are most likely going to be ignored in this new series, in favor of the manga version of the events. You can read the first 36 volumes (387 chapters), which is the original run, and then either continue reading or watch this new season. But if you want to go the anime route, you can watch the first 119 episodes of the original TV series (the rest are optional filler, and are not subbed yet), then Scramble for the Throne (46 episodes), and then this.
If you want to catch up there's a few ways. The original Kinnikuman manga from chapter 1. Vols 1-36. These volumes have an anime adaptation which is Kinnikuman 1983 and Kinnikuman Scramble For The Throne. Vol 37 is an epilogue and a collection of different side story chapters. These stories have not been animated. I'm unsure if we'll see any of this stuff in the new anime, but it's still worth reading. The 1983 anime have a couple of differences from the manga. Not sure which one is the ideal way to get into. The anime has additional character theme songs, a great OST and voice cast. It is a little slow in some areas much like original DBZ as a lot of fights get interrupted by comedic side characters. Perhaps, manga is the better way but it also takes a while to find it's footing. The early chapters are very tokusatsu as it heavily features kaiju and Ultraman parodies. Although the anime goes crazier with the references, especially in the first episode.
Kinnikuman 2011 Manga starts at Vol 38 till present day Vol 83. This new anime will start from Vol 38 and likely conclude at Vol 60. The anime is named after the arc vols 38-60 are based on. Currently, the canonicity of Ultimate Muscle is put into question as the very recent chapters have barely acknowledged UM. While UM can give you an idea how the series will be like it won't really address UM. Kinnikuman 2011 is basically like and predates Dragon Ball Super. So the "End Of Z" will be Ultimate Muscle in this case. Given how many changes 2011 has done to the series, the events don't really fit into UM's timeline. So I wouldn't worry about looking deeper into UM.
@@THEAnimeHERO Almost sounds like UM is basically the Dragon Ball GT of the series. But I've already seen all of Ultimate Muscle, it was years ago. But I still remember most of it, so I think I'm good to dive into the original series. No need to dive any further.
As for which I intend to start with? Based on your recommendation, I'm leaning towards the anime, but I may alternate between the anime and the manga to see which one I gravitate towards more. I'm more of a anime watcher, but I'll read a manga too if it's the best available options. Berserk being a good example of that.

@@THEAnimeHERO See if there’s a talent agency in your area. Preferably one that is a mother agency. Mother agencies tend to nurture and help you with whatever gig you’re trying to pursue be it acting,modeling, etc. I will be pursuing a few gigs myself once the strikes come to an end.
