Honestly, given how long this arc I kinda easily see it coming back more so once we start entering other arcs since the series is still being published weekly.

The SH Figuarts mostly had 2 versions per character with one being Toei colors & the other being manga colors.

There's so much activity for this series especially compared to 2023 when it first got announced.

So cour is just another word for batch right? Sorry but I always refer to a lot of episodes coming out at once as batches. What does cour mean exactly?

Yeah I've been told that recently. I'm sure Kinnikuman will come back given how much went into these 12 eps & it's Japanese reception.

@@THEAnimeHERO considering how loved kinnikuman is in Japan I am positive we will have 4 quarters of 12 episodes each. Also I think with this revival we might get a new game in the works? I mean it is celebrating its 45th anniversary.

Yeah it's gonna blow you away how different it is from the 4Kids portrayal of Ultimate Muscle. The content is just nonstop adrenaline, shock, passion & lore twists.

Yes episode 0 will have reanimated flashbacks so it's the closest thing to a reboot.

Yes. It will cover the majority if not all the arcs from vols 1-36 aka the 165 episodes from the previous anime.

Oh I haven't checked the Shaman King reboot so I'm surprised to hear some of the voice cast return for it.

News is super vague or very last minute. Supposedly, we're getting EP0. According to the JPN schedule, the anime airs on tv 1st followed by the Netflix premiere the following day. Other regions should be the same. As unlikely as it sounds, if we somehow get EP1 then WE would be ahead of the JPN release by a week in advance. I don't see that happening. Unless EP0 is meant to be tv only then EP1 debuts the following day on Netflix? I honestly wish they weren't so cryptic. The Anime Expo will show a digest version of EP0 on the 6th of July.

UPDATE. The Netflix listing shows EP0 with a subbed trailer.

That probably won't happen since that was an anime only thing but we'll find out soon.

I think he was great as Kid Muscle but I rather have someone else play Kinnikuman. I'm not against seeing 4Kids actors come back with a better script & direction so that'll be cool to see in this new Kinnikuman dub.

I'm assuming Hara & Buronson would approve the 2d route instead of the 3d. It also doesn't help that Kengan Ashura's Larx Entertainment would've been a better choice instead of Polygon Pictures who did Blue Sky Regenesis. Even Digital Frontier would've been better since they did some work on Infini-T Force.

I feel a lot of the modern manly anime don't evoke the same spirit as the older ones. The modern series I'm referring to are Tiger Mask W, Garouden 2024, Kengan Ashura, Record Of Ragnarok, Megalo Box, Hinomaru Sumo & even One Punch Man. I feel they all do a good job emphasizing their own style of musculature but their characters or drama don't resonate with me. The majority of them play around with the notion of danger but often don't take it seriously or have average writing. One Punch Man is an oddity due to the clash between the two versions. I feel Yusuke Murata's interpretation interferes with One's initial parody roots. While both OPM versions can lean into serious storytelling I feel Murata's suffers due to his art style. Muruta dedicated a lot of his passion into numerous pages but I often think Saitama is both needed and unneeded. When he's not present, the story is horrifyingly grim but once he shows up all tension vanishes. I think since it's stuck from the original comedy roots that makes it an uneven story and more of a collection of elaborate storyboard illustrations. Lately, whenever I explore an older series I tend to find a stronger narrative than the new ones. I recently watched Street Fighter II V 1995 & that was more compelling than I thought it'd be. And then I see Garouden 2024 and that was mediocre. Granted they both have vast differences in episode quantity. So I'm not really a fan of One Punch Man. I felt the last manly things were Kongo Bancho & Toriko; more Kongo over Toriko.

There's been a few snippets of an early tv airing & from what little I've seen has blown me away, especially if you watched the 1983 anime.

Yep. The average person who remembers Ultimate Muscle probably doesn't recall any detail of the anime. More so when that clip of him putting on a mask is in the opening.

If that's the case they announced the anime way too early. Although there have been a few other anime cases of radio silence for a year. Helck is one example where the anime got announced in Feb 2022, nothing shows up till Feb 2023 with a pv and then premiered later that same year. The Rose Of Versailles movie just came back from the grave as it was meant to come out by Toei in 2007, then in 2022, and now 2025. Although I'm really hoping this isn't a Kengan Ashura situation where the anime was planned since 2015ish but didn't come out till 2018.

I was exposed to Kinnikuman through Ultimate Muscle as well although I didn't like it at the time. I'm really anticipating the new anime which is only a few days away.

Hello. I chose not to although I was tempted to look. Saw somebody post a 7 sec clip of Atlantis but that's where I stopped. Thank you for grabbing those clips but I'm just going to wait for the episode to come out.

Which we won't be seeing at all in this anime. Honestly, Kinnikuman as a Dad is good just not super prominent compared to something like Oton from Tough.

Buffaloman & Robin Mask have the most interesting roles right now.

I found the first one deeper despite the repetitive nature of it. I felt the sequel had more unique fighting especially at the end but it didn't have the same feel as the father son stuff from part 1.

I'm really hoping some info shows up on October for the anime's 40th anniversary. I feel now's the best time for other manly anime to get something.

Yes. But an easier explanation would be Kinnikuman with Dragon Ball. Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc would be Dragon Ball Super but done better.
