Don't mind me. Just going to use this as an example of how it really shouldn't be that difficult to actually show an anime/manga couple getting married and unlike a certain abomination from a certain entry in the Gundam franchise, one fans ACTUALLY would want to see tie the knot!

@@jacksonbowns1087 Iron Blooded Orphans, specifically its last two openings. They more or less showed the wedding of McGillis and Almiria, a subplot nobody liked and on the list of anime and manga couples that should have gotten a wedding scene, *THEY WEREN'T EVEN ON THE FUCKING BOTTOM!*
I'm more concerned why kissing is taboo in some shonen like Fist Of The North Star.
If possible they might use the flashbacks when Kinnikuman is fighting his friends

Ngl I'm really worried about the lack of info on an English release. My worry is that Shimada's comments are in reference to Japan Netflix being available and its not necessarily worldwide... but as long as we get English subs we should be ok right?

There's been a few snippets of an early tv airing & from what little I've seen has blown me away, especially if you watched the 1983 anime.

Which we won't be seeing at all in this anime. Honestly, Kinnikuman as a Dad is good just not super prominent compared to something like Oton from Tough.

Hmm. I want to say no. To be honest aside from Part1 Bibimba barely had any onscreen presence. I'm pretty sure she's only appeared in the wedding in the past 13 years since the Kinnikuman manga returned in 2011.

Everything should be manga accurate. Brockenman was given a voice actor but no illustration. So that means he'll show up for the Camel Clutch, I hope.😆

So Shin Kinnikuman is the Remake and Perfect Origin Hokuto no Ken 2/ Shin Hokuto ( equivalent) eg Return?
Yes. But an easier explanation would be Kinnikuman with Dragon Ball. Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc would be Dragon Ball Super but done better.
I am guessing the reason we haven't heard anything about the North star reboot is because of some issues going on behind the scenes. I mean no new updates? Something is definitely going on, i am guessing either a pay dispute or they can't find the right actors or animation studio.
If that's the case they announced the anime way too early. Although there have been a few other anime cases of radio silence for a year. Helck is one example where the anime got announced in Feb 2022, nothing shows up till Feb 2023 with a pv and then premiered later that same year. The Rose Of Versailles movie just came back from the grave as it was meant to come out by Toei in 2007, then in 2022, and now 2025. Although I'm really hoping this isn't a Kengan Ashura situation where the anime was planned since 2015ish but didn't come out till 2018.

@@THEAnimeHEROI think ulimate muscle has been decanonized due to the time travel stuff in kinnikuman niesi ulimate tag hen and 2011 continuity contradicting each other but I think the creators are cleaning off the stale and changing the event of ulimate muscle to fit what the current stuff is doing like the ulimate muscle characters are canon but the event of ultimate muscle and the time travel arc isn’t canon anymore

Yep. The average person who remembers Ultimate Muscle probably doesn't recall any detail of the anime. More so when that clip of him putting on a mask is in the opening.

So is episode 0 will be on Netflix on Monday or ep 1?
News is super vague or very last minute. Supposedly, we're getting EP0. According to the JPN schedule, the anime airs on tv 1st followed by the Netflix premiere the following day. Other regions should be the same. As unlikely as it sounds, if we somehow get EP1 then WE would be ahead of the JPN release by a week in advance. I don't see that happening. Unless EP0 is meant to be tv only then EP1 debuts the following day on Netflix? I honestly wish they weren't so cryptic. The Anime Expo will show a digest version of EP0 on the 6th of July.
UPDATE. The Netflix listing shows EP0 with a subbed trailer.
