#kinnikuman #Kinnikuman40thAnniversary #theanimehero - Zábava
The recent revival of some 1980 anime have give me hope for modern anime adaptation of Hokuto No Ken
I'm hoping for that but I'm also worried that something will ruin it. Yet I also believe Hara & Buronson should know very well that a HNK reboot HAS to be excellent.
May god listen to you, that would be great!
Didn't they already do that in the 2000s?
@Master Gundam so it didn't happen
If it happens I will only watch it if they use one of the two original theme songs 😅
After many years the Kinnikuman Series is finally getting it's reboot just like Sailor Moon Crystal, Shaman King, and Tokyo Mew Mew, however someone mention that this series is a sequel were the last story of Kinnikuman became King of Muscle Planet left off. I was a bit disappoint that the Japanese writers weren't planning to do the reboot of Kinnikuman from the 80's because I always wanted to see the version especially the Scramble for the Throne Arc but I am willing to give this new anime series a chance but who knows maybe the writers will also be planning to do the sequel for Ultimate Muscle in the future🤞.
With the brand new Kinnikuman anime coming in 2024, I think they should released the whole original Series in SBDS Blu-Ray as anniversary to celebrate.
I just hope it's great.
Wanted to thanks for your videos,it really got me to read whole kinnikuman series,i hope in the future you gonna make in depth arc overview for each kinnikuman arc.Keep up the good work and lets see what kinnikuman anime gonna bring to the table
Thank you for the kind words. I really need to get back to my roots and make something profound again. I'm glad I finally made that video "How JoJo was influenced by Fist Of The North Star." I need to catch up on Kinnikuman again as I think I'm one volume behind.
Just as long they keep some or most of the anime colors. I really hope it’s based off of the 2011 run because what’s happening right now is so fucking awesome and even gave me them manly tears. But it would be amazing to do maybe an OVA special first just to recap some of the Kinnikuman OG. Then transition it to ep1 of the perfect Chojin arc, with flashbacks that has the OG anime like dragon ball super and their flashbacks
I could also picture what Baki 2018 did as it showed a lot of flashbacks to previous events. Kinnikuman might do the same if it starts at 2011. Honestly, I think 2011 will be the new anime due to the current hype of the manga, thus being synchronized for manga sales for those who want to read ahead. The 2011 series itself does recap previous events but I have no idea how far it'll go. It won't take too long for it to catch up to the manga.
My money's on it being an anime adaptation of the 2011 revival. Either that or it's a movie version of Kaiju Extermination Arc and 20th Choujin Olympics merged together.
I really hope it's a series but I'd take anything as long as it comes over here officially if it can.
@@THEAnimeHERO Agreed. Before the announcement of Ultimate Muscle getting a full home release, the last Kinnikuman anything to come to The States was Galactic Wrestling back in 2004 (to this day, I still have no idea why they had to call it that instead of just calling it Ultimate Muscle Generations.)
Kinnikuman was always one of my favorite animes, it's so great to know it's getting a reboot
Honestly, it might not be a reboot. After putting some thought into it, I'm starting to believe it's going to be an adaptation of the 2011 manga series which is still ongoing today.
Hopefully they start from the very first arc, although the series it's more well known for the wrestling tournament arcs I think what I love most of the show it's how starts humble and goofy introducing the cast on episodic misadventures to then escalate to more serious competitions.
I wouldn't mind seeing that for a 100+ep series but I really think the anime will be going straight into 2011 material. The sincerity roots are important but I somehow feel that'll be condensed into a starting act. Maybe we can get the Kinnikuman Vs Terryman story along with Kinnikuman's wedding as the first major scenes and continue from there.
With the new show I just want to things 1Akira Kamiya back as the original voice of (Kinnikuman) and 2 the play the original
Song by Akira Kushida Go! Fight! (Kinnikuman)
again not a new make of the song the original song ❤
Seeing how the original keeps getting used in media, I think it's very possible to hear the exact same song instead of a remastered version. Although I feel a remix/remastered rendition could still happen. I also want Akira Kamiya to play Kinnikuman. I can't imagine anyone else.
I pray to this new kinnikuman anime become popular like jojo or baki
I think it's possible especially if it goes on for more than 26eps or depending where it gets streamed. Although Dragon Quest Dai had a 100eps and is hardly talked about.
I assume 29th of kinikuman day is when the trailer might be release.
If that's case, we won't see anything till Sep 29 or Dec 29 of 2023.
I feel like this advert is a take on another pic but I cannot recall
You might be thinking of the early DBS Ultra Instinct Goku key visual which features him from the back. But it also reminds me of the finale of the Baki 2018 opening which shows Baki from the back with his arm raised. Unless there's an actual Kinnikuman picture somewhere or this is just a common pose.
No new Trailer yet but maybe one will come soon.
I'll be waiting.
With the complete series of Ultimate Muscle coming out in May it would be a good time to bring Kinnikuman over to the west
Totally, especially on an era where almost every new manga gets immediately brought to latam
I'm hoping the anime and the movies could come out. Japan already has SD blurays for majority of the original anime along with Scramble For The Throne.
I'd be surprised if there was some manga license news.
Hopefully the animation is solid and the wrap up the Kaiju extermination arc quick
I'm expecting Perfect Large Numbers to be the anime's focus but we'll see.
Finally man, finally!!!!!
It's been a long time hoping.
@@THEAnimeHERO
You can bet whatever you want it was!😭
This might be the first time us westerners get the original story. With anime now being mainstream, they will definitely make some adjustments to make it more appealing to our sensibilities.
That sounds feasible. Reprints of the manga have removed the unsavory symbolism involved with Brocken Jr.
This better get a dub one day
Like urusei yatsura as a good example, that was in hell to get an English dub I'm sure if it this one could too and it better not be a movie
If Kinnikuman 2024 lands on Netflix; it should get a dub in a couple of languages.
I might be late to the party, but the Hokuto Lads are doing something in September to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Hokuto No Ken! Exciting!
I think it starts with some art expo! Could be just that, but there’s a website too!
There's also a translated documentary that came out. www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/ondemand/video/3022016/
I’ve said this many times. There will be A Hokuto no Ken reboot.
They do specials, films, or anime every anniversary. And with anime like jojo n Baki doing well it’s only a matter of time
I would like for that to happen especially if it aired alongside Kinnikuman. Rokudo's Bad Girls also has some manliness in it. I'm still waiting for a Kongo Bancho anime.
@@THEAnimeHERO oh sh*t I forgot about kongo. Perhaps we could even get a sakigake otokojuku anime
The First time I knew about Kinnikuman is… The 4Kids Dub.
Yeah… Not a Good Start for Me. But I’ve Enjoy Kinnikuman.
The 4Kids series is the sequel to Kinnikuman aka Kinnikuman Nisei. We probably won't be seeing those characters in this new Kinnikuman anime.
@@THEAnimeHERO Yeah, But Kinnikuman Nisei is the only Kinnikuman Show that 4Kids ever shown Me as a Kid. Bad Dubs is part of My Childhood.
I loved Ultimate Muscle lol
Fact: 4kids attempted to commercialize the 1st Kinnikuman way before Ultimate Muscle.
Hope they do it line Legend of the True Saviour
As long as they're lengthy and stick close enough to the source material. I can picture each major arc as a movie. Not sure about Scramble For The Throne. I feel that'll take more than 1 movie.
Finally..WE FINALLY GOT A HOKUTO NO KEN ANIME REMAKE COMING!!!!
I need a 3rd manly series to make the anime reboot news.
i would prefer a reboot, but either way i'm hyped still, the only thing i would love to see, whether if is a reboot or the 2011 material is a lack of censorship, maybe i'm asking a bit much, but the manga is just as goofy as it is VIOLENT and it is part of it's charm honestly, i would LOVE seeing Rameman actually breaking Brockenman' in half in an anime format, or warsman violating people in the chojin olympics.
but if they somehow make it a 2011 sequel, they SHOULD give people a really good recap of things at least an OVA
If 2011 happens, I feel there's enough opportunities to provide flashbacks like Baki 2018 did. While it would be beneficial to start the series from the beginning to avoid filler, I can also picture picking 2011 just to reach the new stuff & coincide with the current manga.
Don’t care if it’s a reboot or based on the 2011 manga, I’m hype as fuck!!!!
I just hope it comes out this year.
@@THEAnimeHERO Same bro! I hope it gets localized too but I realize that’s a stupid wish, but I have hope since Ultimate Muscle is getting a re-release in the states
Oh man this is gonna be interesting and I say that in a good way. Wonder if they'll do like a Fullmetal Alchemist, Hellising scenario where it follows the manga and no filler but we'll see since the manga came back 2011 and is still in print.
That'd be nice. I just have this feeling that Yudetamago or whoever's in charge want to dive in to the new material and capitalize on manga sales for the current series. I can't imagine there being a complete series reboot due to the recent bluray releases for the original show. Then again both Hellsing Ultimate & FMAB came out rather quickly from their previous incarnations. Neither Hellsing or FMA 2003 were less than 5 years old when they ended and the reboot started.
@@THEAnimeHERO Yeah considering the original series ran from 1983 to 1986 just a year before the original manga run had ended in 87'. So hey we might get a good chunk of basically manga to anime format with little to no filler except maybe when it gets closer to the recent issue. Unless this'll be like a continuation thing like the various Baki series.
My prediction is it will also be a remake of the original before jumping straight to the material of 2011 to avoid any confusion with the newcomers. Plus, hope it doesn't attract the wrong people(weebs I'm talking about).
PS:I know it's unrelated to this video but have you read Black Angels Hero(Alex)? It's like Hokuto No Ken,I'm sure you're going to like this.
Part of me really thinks it's going to head straight into the 2011 series due to the recent blurays for the original anime. I can't picture a reboot after those just being released. I also expect the new anime to have additional flashbacks hopefully with new animation. Or it could resort to be use the actual 1983 anime footage. Yes, I heard of Black Angels. I have it on my to read list.
Kinnikiman it's not the only jump classic who get a reboot anime
Also hokuto no ken fist of the North Star get also a reboot anime by Warner Bros s anime
Yeah I'm really excited for both things. I still need a trailer for FOTNS.
🤘
💪
I just found out about this just now
Honestly, the hyped has died down. There's a Kinnikuman themed toy convention happening on the 29th so maybe something will happen.
Honestly? I'm glad they're not letting us know too much. We don't know what they'll do with it. And that makes it more exciting.
I'm glad the trailer finally came out!
I haven't seen the original anime but I love the music please keep us updated
Openings 1, 2 & 3 are too good.
hey Hero have you been up to date with the 2011 manga? just saying this cause the translations finally caught up to the Raws after what it felt like eternity... and the story has been some of the best in years, just putting it here for awareness sake lol
I was almost caught up to it but I think I need to read another volume to catch up again. The last thing I read involved The One, The God Of Time and his Time Choujin.
@@THEAnimeHERO yes pretty much, the hiatus put the Hype on hold for a while, but i still think the next arc has the potential to be the best in 2011 IMO, even better than the Perfect Origin
Finally a news ive been waiting for, the old japanese animation technology wasnt able to create great animation and design especially the muscle itself while this serie itself named "The Ultimate Muscle". Now, im excited to see (im convinced) the far better animation of this anime
To clarify, Ultimate Muscle is the English name given to the 2nd series which is a time skip of the main character's son. The actual translation of the name Kinnikuman would be Muscleman. Even so, the original anime did suffer in mobility as it utilized many slow motion grabs and submissions. The art style did change with more details as the anime kept going but seeing it with modern animation will be a big treat.
@@THEAnimeHERO4Kids kept the Japanese name as a Subtitle called Ultimate Muscle: the Kinnikuman Legacy.
Best thing the adaptation can do is adapt the first episode, the Terryman one and then jump straight to the Coujin Olympics since that's the one where the series truly starts.
Plus the Kaiju extermination arc isn't exactly....good and it aged badly (too long, esoteric jokes, etc)
There's also a lot of continuity questions when it comes to the Kaiju Extermination arc due to the power of turning into giants. I wouldn't mind seeing a new re-written version of the early stuff leading into the 20th Choujin Olympics. It needs to happen to set up the following Olympics with Ramenman, Brocken Jr, Robin Mask & Warsman. Terryman also needs to take a shot for Kinnikuman.
@@THEAnimeHERO Oh yeah that too like, it was really weird that he had all of those weird powers like the beam or the top only to never use them again, the giant thing is specifically jarring considering how Coujins like King the 100 ton and Sunshine were hard to beat precisely because of how big they were.
I glossed over the fact that Robin was introduced on an early arc too, a brief rewrite would be the best option
the kaiju arc isn't the best but it is very important IMO because it shows Kinnikuman as a full blown loser, and seeing his transformation into a reliable hero later hits better when we know who he was back them, also, he loses A LOT in that arc, something we don't see much after the series becomes a wrestling based show
@@nunes5256also, the american tag tournamente and the 2nd kaiju extermination arcs must be adapted this time because it explains 3 things: the creation of the Machineguns, Kinnikuman's ultimate love interest (which was based on a korean dish and was underage by the time she was introduced) and most importantly, Brocken Jr's 1st introduction.
Once you have read the manga, you'll realize Toei strayed way away from the original source in so many things. Even little things like Kinnikuman' 1st choujin olympics' title loss due to not presenting to a match of the world tour after saving Japan from kaijus (the battle vs Robin Mask in the grand canyon (amazon river in the anime) triggered the 1st tag tournament in the manga) were cut away and/or heavily modified.
Something i can confirm is that Toei is working on this. They are in the copyright for it. Now if it's a reboot or a remake or a 2011 show i can't tell
Links please?
My predictions for the new anime:
-It might be an adaptation of the Revival series but hopefully not...
-The animation might resemble Tiger Mask W but probably incorporate CGI in some capacity
-It might be saved by it's various controversies. A big worry is that the stereotypical characters might hinder it's popularity but if human nature has taught me anything is that the controversy just brings in curiosity (that's what happen with that Hogwarts game at least...)
If anything i hope it doesn't attract tohse based people, you know the ones who appreciate animes for the wrong reasons, like people who hyped Cautious hero just because the main characters beats women, i don't want some jackass to hype Kinnikuman as: THE ANIME THAT IS GREAT BECAUSE IT MOCKS THE CHINESE or something
@@ironmaster6496 Yeah... Kinnikuman doesn't exactly "mock" the Chinese anymore. If anything it only did in Ramenman's very first appearance and after that when he got his own series he became the living embodiment of the appreciation for Martial Arts. I'm more worried about the people who'll say that Brocken is their favorite character...
@@GenericProtagonist118 Yup, no joke Ramenman became my favorite character out of nowhere, surpassing even Kevin mask who is now my third favorite after ironically his father, except for his design I don't find anything wrong with him, but you know how people are.
Also about Brocken....it depends if you talk about senior or Jr, because the son is a good character and i really want to believe that the only reason he wars the uniform is to honor his father and nothing else
Part of me is thinking it's going to be the 2011 series to acknowledge itself as the "NEW" Kinnikuman. The original anime just recently got on SD bluray in Japan. From a business perspective, it'll be more profitable if it heads straight into new content instead of a reboot that could make the previous anime obsolete for bluray sales. After seeing some of that reception on twitter, I really hope it doesn't fall under that or becomes "You watch JoJo for the memes" type of thing.
To be honest, Warsman could also fall under a shallow controversy due to his Russian background and his superhero name being WARSman. If things go well this could be like a 1960's Star Trek where it made bold decisions by having multi-race actors & characters on the same show who get along and cooperate with one another.
Wonder if it would be based on the new manga series
I'm thinking it will. It would be a step forward from the already released Kinnikuman & Scramble For The Throne which just got on bluray. I think they'd be sabotaging themselves if they did a reboot of the original after just releasing those SD blurays.
A new Kinnikuman anime will give me reason to carry on.
I'm still waiting for more news. I need to see some footage.
@@THEAnimeHERO Fo sho. I'm sort off hoping that it causes at least some sort of mild revival for the franchise that garners attention for it elsewhere in the world much like Devilman Crybaby did for Devilman. Kinnikuman has a much more lengthy storyline though which could allow for something bigger...but I'm getting way ahead of myself here.
I believe that studio wit is absolutely qualified to re adapt fist of the north star
Unfortunately, the only thing I seen from them is Pokémon: Hisuian Snow.
If they plan to sell the license to produce figures I just hope Bandai doesn't get it again.
I'd be amazed if Mattel would somehow pick this up again for an English release. I'd vouch for the new company Jada Toys to make affordable $25 figures for Kinnikuman. They're already starting off great with Megaman & Street Fighter. I'd like Storm Collectibles to do it but it's gonna be so expensive to pay $100+ per character.
Hopefully TMS/ Telecom or David Pro is animating the reboot as Toei has their hands full with lots of projects and i don’t want this to be another dbs situation with the animation.
If Toei treats it like One Piece Wano then it should be fine. I am picturing TMS/Telecom to do it above anyone else.
Give us a Kinnikuman x Baki Crossover.
I wouldn't mind although I feel satisfied with the conclusion of the Hanma Baki Son Of Ogre anime.
hey guys, anyone know where to watch full episodes of kinnikuman (Dream Chojin Tag Arc and above). because there are less episodes with subtitles. I don't like the Dub version. :(
You would have to check places like Aniwave or YugenAnime.
Will Crunchyroll distribute Kinnikuman Reboot outside Japan?
No idea. The trailer for the 2024 has come out already but so far there's been no mention how it will released.
I hope it's not just a special or an OVA.
I'm really hoping it's a tv series. Feel anything else would be too brief or too rushed.
Looking forward to it! Hopefully they use most of the anime colors, the manga ones are really plain and boring
I agree; too much red and silver.
Will the Reboot be more PG than the WWE?
I assume it'll be brutal like the manga.
You can,t show shirtless men! 🤨
I can't?
