Jack when he’s 4:reading is boring
Jack when he’s 12:King Arthur
Jack when he’s 16:reading master
Jack when he’s 19:gunslinger
That took a 180 real quick.
Its funny how he said he wanted to become a gunslinger. He ended up becoming just like one
@@SalmxZ I think after jack kills Ross years later he gets a letter to register for the draft and thus kickoffs a new set of events but I think after awhile he does writes a book about his life seen in GTA 5
@@mikeyholland150 I think the book is about John not Jack.
@@65firered well it could be told from Jack's point of view since John died when he was 16 maybe his mom told him about a lot about his life
He became a gunslinger over Abigail’s dead body.

Oof
Then he became a writer.

Abigail: “over my dead body”
Jack: “Deal”

Little did she know...
Rip Van Winkle lol
Poor Jack. He ended up becoming quite the avid reader and seemed full of intelligence and potential, but his father's death hurled him back into the life his family tried so hard to escape.
The true tragedy about both RDR1 and 2 is that Jack doesn't truly get his freedom.
@@Wildlink123
We dont know about his late life tho. All the know is that he wrote a book later on which suggests he didnt die young as an putlaw
@@elite1361 The Red Dead book in GTA V is likely just an easter egg. Though perhaps it is possible Jack wrote about the story of the Van Der Linde gang using Arthur and John's journal as reference. But there's no definitive proof that's what happened. Like I said, the GTA V book is probably just an easter egg.
@@mcgoldenblade4765
Yes it is an easter egg without any further proof, but at least it implies that Jack lived long enough to write a book.
In my head canon, Little Jack leaves for Los Angeles (Los Santos for that matter lol) after killing Ross. He then became a successful author and film maker, had a family and died peacefully in the last third of the 20th century.
@@mcgoldenblade4765 still a really cool idea to have red dead and GTA take place in the same universe.
It’s so sad how Hosea, before the day of the bank robbery said to Jack, “We’ll start reading tomorrow”. R.I.P Hosea

Something I always thought was hilarious about Hosea teaching Jack to read: there's a scene in Horseshoe Overlook where Jack is trying to get John to play with him. He wants to swordfight with sticks, & says "I'll be Achilles, you be Hector!"
The only explaination I can draw from this is that Hosea was teaching 4 year old Jack to read using the fucking Iliad.
& it makes me laugh so hard.
Bc really Hosea? The Iliad? He's 4!

He was the real mind behind the group. Dutch was just the leader, I mean the bank robbery would have worked if molly and Micah weren’t involved and they would have got away
wellll guess milton didn’t feel the same as you.
Hosea was the foundation of the gang. Everything and everyone had stuck together or at least had this sense of ease while he was around whether others believed it or not. It's amazing to see how Jack didn't become a gunslinger while Abigail was alive, even though he knew who killed his father. This is a wonderful detail, he didn't do something that his mother repudiated while in life, maybe knowing that she would hate this and feel responsible, and when she died, Jack became a gunslinger in her grave and goes for revenge...
Literally over her dead body.
"over my dead body"
Which makes me believe Jack remembers that whole conversation even as a young man.

And him shooting agent ross
Honestly Jack doesn't become a gunslinger it's mostly up to the player what he does after in my playthrough Jack is a good samaritan that helps other people who are in trouble
MIKE2111ful In my playthrough Jack killed Ross and escaped to Mexico, where's he's now serving as a bounty hunter who helps people every now and again.

The government didn't care about Ross at that point:

Hosea was a granddad to so much people, he saved Arthur as a kid and was a dad towards Dutch. He never started any fights, all he did was try everything to help the gang. The first mission with him is when he's going out hunting, he never hurt anyone or done anything bad. It was heartbreaking to watch him go, he was one of the best characters of the gang, will never be forgotten
You are right for the most part, but don’t mistake kindness for weakness, in a interaction between Hosea and either Bill or Uncle (i forgot) he pulls his gun out on one of the 2 when their drunk and even twirls it around before putting it back into its holster, and he pulled it out just as quick. he’s still a professional gunslinger and con man. but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t sweet because he was one of my favorites in the game and his death still makes me sad
@UrGayLmao But he was more calm and tempered. A great man? Not really, he silver tongued his way out of many situations and into a lot of scamming and leeching money off of people. However, he still has moralistic traits and openly attempts to deescalate situations or spare those who aren't involved with their situation or aren't deemed much of a threat. Only resorting to gunfights to defend himself and his group or during the raid on the Braithwaite Manor.
He is a pragmatist and someone who possesses a lot of foresight and wisdom beyond the short term as well, which made him such a good right hand to Dutch. Think of him more as a wise thief, who doesn't involve those who aren't actively a threat/part of the situation, seeks the most bloodless or otherwise most moderate solution, and generally attempts to be a fatherly figure, mentor and best friend to everyone in camp.
He's like a weird mix of chaotic good and chaotic neutral with some, still working for himself, but showing immense care and work ethic for his fellow gang members and wishing to do jobs with the least amount of collaterals or needless bloodshed. He's a team player and a good friend to most of the gang, and actively puts them equal to his ambitions, yet doesn't feel locked to a specific code either since he's both a criminal and because of his ingenuity and more mentor role, rather than an absolutist Dutch sycophant.
Not really a father figure to Dutch he was like his older brother
@AnselmoBabimbola Yes for sure, he wasn’t a good man by any means, but he was better and he always wished and tried to work with Dutch to get everyone a new life. I think any typical brigand or roaming gang of thugs would either be in this way of life until they die, or find more brutish ways of managing their criminal holdings. You could argue it was more a means to an end for him at some point and less just cons for himself and his own personal pleasures. He wanted to see the succeed and maybe find himself a life to settle and to put his criminal skills aside.
I miss Hosea and wish he had stuck further

Hoses is to good for heaven, he is the sole SUPER angle
Jack is so cute
Then Edgar Ross turns him into a bad boy years later
We’ll try again soon....
-really miss hosea.
I like how Jack is being berated about his literacy by his illiterate mom
Lol jack the best gunslinger
Damn Hosea was like a father of everyone in the camp, he made his decision to be an outlaw a long time ago but he doesn’t seem like one.
Hosea seems like he would be a very good friend
Hosea:Tommorow we read again
Arthur: Have looked into the bank?
Little does he know....he dies!
I want rockstar make rdr3 before Balckwater. ;w ; and we can see jenny, callander, etc..
And arthur
I agree! RDR3 should be about how the gang got together! Start as Dutch, and play the part where he 1st met Hosea! then we switch to playing as young Arthur and how he joined the gang and how we meet John Marston, then other members of the gang, like Bill Williamsson, Javeir ETC!
Lazy Eye heh I'm gonna be sad but Arthur won't be on "Red Dead III" if that'll become a thing he uhh he's-Shrek dies that's all Ima say..
And they might show issac aswell
@@hotsauce2882 arthur may be the character of epilogue part like john marston
LNENY?
I don’t want to be author
I want to have lumbago
I see the first scene in every playthough, and it melts my heart. Reminds me of Arthur and John learning to read, now Jack. They really were a family more than a gang at that point.
anything jack dialogued related makes my heart warm
Thank you uncle hosea.
