How to Easily Redeem Chase Points (for MAX Value)

- In this video, we’re going over how to redeem Chase points for max value! Chase gives customers a lot of options for how to use their credit card points, but unfortunately many of these options can be bad. Because of this, I’m going to walk through which of these redemption choices should be avoided and which choices are the best to get the most out of your hard-earned Chase credit card points.
The best way to redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards Points is for travel through the many transfer partners that Chase works with. By using Chase points for travel, you can find many ways to get at least double or triple the value of your credit card points compared to other options! I’ll go over a few examples of how to use Chase points for travel in this video to explain.

Great video Daniel. I have the CFF and booked my 1st hotel trip thru the Chase Portal to take advantage of the 5% multiplier. I am just holding on to the points for now until I get the CSP in a few months. I have learned a lot of how to redeem points from your videos and this one was good because it went over all the options. I thank you that you gave a hotel example in this video.

Last year was able to save a bunch of money while doing a coaster roadtrip cause of your videos. I got the sapphire preferred, got the welcome bonus and spent 25,000 points at Hyatt hotels. All 3 nights were free and were very good hotels.
Booked my first Hyatt redemption with chase points yesterday 🎉 got a solid 1.8 cpp redemption for a villa in Sedona this upcoming summer

It also seems like from what I've read and gathered from your video, the portal itself does not provide much value. My question is, have you ever come across something to book in the travel portal that is more valuable than using a partner?

Do you have any videos on when to book a hotel with cash through Chase Travel portal vs booking with the Hotel directly? I'm new to the points game here and trying to figure out if it's worth spending extra cash to get the extra points multiplier if I book through chase travel portal, when the same hotel is a little bit cheaper if i book direct. Daniel Braun: I used your advice to get the full Chase suite in the last 14 months (Flex, Sapphire Preferred, Unlimited, Amazon Prime, Ink Cash). To address the 5/24 rule, I am now past the anniversary of the Flex. Do I need to cancel it so I can apply for a new one (and new promotion) in 13 months or could I be approved for a new one while still holding one?

Quick question: I notice you're calculating the total in the travel portal but without adding the value of the rate at which you gain back points (5x or 10x) - doesn't it also add value to the total in your equation?

Absolutely. I will say if you want to fly a lot on United and want free first/business class upgrades, you get the best redemptions with airline premium cards like Chase's United Club. On US domestic United award flights, if you have status you are excluded from the complimentary upgrade list. The only way to get on the complimentary list is to have an United credit card. The card also gives 10% off saver award flights. You earn nearly double the miles on United flights and up to $10K in PQP/spend which effectively earns 5% which can help you go to next status tier which means you will be higher up the list for complimentary upgrades. All this flights count towards your 1M mile lifetime status

So basically for the pay yourself back thing - if you made for example a $100 to an eligible charity by using your Sapphire Preferred, you could “erase” that purchase or basically “pay yourself back” using 8,000 points.
Using the CPP equation, that’s $100 in the charity contribution you make at first / 8,000 chase points redeemed = 1.25 cents per point.

Something that all the CZcamsr points don't say is that.... There are flights that are cheaper with points + money than paying all with points... For example .... NYC to BCN ,with promotions(which they have a lot)there are like $350 to $450 round-trips(if you know how to search, patience), with points there are like 45,000points + money, however these flights normally show 650 to 900$ round-trip.
What I am saying is that it could be more beneficial redeeming points as 1 CPP than buying a whole flight with points. That 400 ticket will be 100$ if you only redeem 30,000 points instead of 45,000 + money.
If you have any questions, don't mind asking, we are all in the same boat 😜😊.
Btw Daniel explains how to use them, not how you should do it.
Edit: I am talking about economy flights mostly.... Business is another story 😜.... But can be treated the same.

Using points for overpriced Apple products is a waste. Hyatt and airline transfers are the best uses of Chase points.
