Hey friends! I just started a second channel that will be full of informational travel videos just like this one! If you want to see more videos about how to find cheap flights, book cheap accommodation, and other travel tips and tricks, be sure to check it out! czcams.com/channels/5yflGdnSnaY97QUsih9Ntw.html
As a seasoned traveler myself, Ive listened to so many of these "secret tips" but unfortunately its always the same few. Finally a video where I was able to learn two new tips I had never heard before. Great job!
@@danteschaffer1592 my experience is that the airlines are way more expensive to book directly with. Like a round trip to Honolulu was like 2k directly with Delta but was $800usd through Expedia.
@@SithMonk3y But, if you have to change flights or anything, you are screwed with a third party vendor especially on the weekend. I have found, its better to book with the airlines, you never get upgraded with a third party.
Man you are awesome! You’re giving serious game and even sacrificing the livelihood of your channel at times to give strangers great tips. Definitely respectable! Keep it up 🙏
I rarely comment on videos but you trick about the VPN was by far the best. I was able to save literally $1000 by just changing locations… crazy. Thank you
Did the vpn change your location to outside your country, or just another place inside your country? I was wondering if there’s a currency conversion fee because, for example, I’m in the US but then VPN changes my location to the UK and the prices show in pounds (£), so I have to make the purchase in £ but I only have US dollars ($) because I’m in the US. When I make the purchase, would the website charge me a currency conversion fee for paying in $?
In about 2005 you could still call to book a flight directly from the airport you wanted to fly from, there were actual people who's job it was to book flights via calls any time of day. I remember a nice person gave me the number for a cancelations only flights available. When I found out about that I felt like I had everything I needed to go anywhere I wanted, and save money while doing it. Now you're the nice person who his helping people get places for less, I thank you for this and wish you happy trails Bro!!
When booking international flights , I find that booking a flight from one major city to another major city in another country is usually much higher in price than booking from a smaller city to another smaller city in another country then using the domestic flights in that country to get to your final destination , the reason for this is that some airlines don't have landing rights in major cities and it is often harder to fill all their seats when landing at a smaller city so they highly discount the fares to get more passengers on board . I have got fares for about 90% less using this strategy .
as a recently single adult male, I thank you for this knowledge. I used to travel without worrying about money, now i am at the age where i need to go places for cheap.. you rock!
Dude, man, words are too paltry to express the sheer gratitude and elation I am inundated with after watching this video and assaying for myself all that you have advised and seeing first hand that what you say is true. I have watched a lot of youtube videos in my day. This is definitely my favorite and best video of them all. I love you man, thanks for looking out for the rest of us.
Helpful hints and Ive been traveling for 1.5 years, subscribed. A hint on using cheap airlines is to have only carry-on luggage because they charge an extra 100usd or so for checked luggage.
David YOU RULE!!! What a fantastic video that really shows you how to save money on travel. I travel a lot and always find budget deals but you really gave me more tips to play with. Thanks you! I am a geography teacher and you would make an amazing geography teacher I could tell.
Omg….. I friggin LOVE you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After watching zillions of videos on how to get This or That deal, I have stumbled across your page and have *FINALLY* watched a video that _actually_ offers deals.
Thank you so much, really good job, not like so many Guru guys out there, all they got just bunch of none sense talking and wasting of time. You actually go straight to the point and give a serious and real information, thank you so much man
Hey dude... You got yourself a new subscriber. Your video popped up on my CZcams dashboard and I thought you got a lot of great content and I also love the humor that you put into the video. I hope to watch more of you. Thanks for sharing your tips. I saved the video to my watchlist cuz I'm sure I'll come back to it in the future so I can go more in depth on those resources. Thanks man.
Excellent video with "real" information. So much appreciate that. Would love to see a video on how to travel business class at a discount, (or get an upgrade) without using points.
Thanks for all the tips, David. Super helpful. My mom was born in Antigua. I've been there a bunch of times. You should definitely go check it out! They have 365 beaches, one for every day of the year.
Thank you for this video! I am 35 and have no idea how to optimize travel... now that i finally have the means i dont even know where to start. I subscribed to your channel and am looking forward to learning and getting inspired to travel more ❤
MAN, this was exactly the type of video I was looking for! I'm now a new subscriber and hope to see more videos like these continue to get pumped out. Thanks a million!!
Booking flights in advance and monitoring prices with Google Flights worked well for me in long distance relationship. The cheapest round trip was £15 in total - £10 with Ryanair from Stansted, UK to Brno, Czechia - return £5 with Wizz Air from Bratislava, Slovakia to Luton, UK
@@YouTooBeYou7 When you book flights with Ryanair you have to pay immediately. Price can be misleading as you have to pay extra for carry-on bags. I'm from the UK and their prices can be misleading. Also the airports they use are well away from the city in the destination name. The airlines are classed as "no frills".
Very helpful and interesting vlog, I will be checking out some of these tips soon. Thanks, your amazing. Love the humor, especially the 'cookies' bit and the t-shirt 'surf Wyoming'
Awesome video! Really good quality and helpful content. Nice humor as well :) I learned more from this than the previous 5 videos I watched about finding cheap flights.
Recently I’ve been trying to travel to the Carolinas. 2tickets by bus is $400 round trip😮 I’ve never been on a plane, train or long bus trip before. I’ve been a few places always by car. I’m so nervous &excited, Traveling is something I plan on exploring in the very near future SO I thank you for these vids yes keep posting them 🎉❤😂😊. I’m accepting this as confirmation that I’m going to have safe passage. Life is life long or short it’s meant to learn, explore and enjoy. I’m feeling like “yes man” nowadays
and airlines sometimes force you to check your bags. and I have had this happen, sometimes the actual final destination is international, and you must have a passport and tell border control you are headed to another country. that could set off other flags.
YOU ARE SOOOOOO AWESOME!!!!! My family and I have been wanting to visit my home country (Korea) and its ridiculous on how much its going to cost us for a round trip and Thanks to your video, I found it dirt cheap! Thanks for not gatekeeping these hacks!!!!!!!!
Great topic, got me excited to give it a try, I'm actually helping out a friend to fly from Egypt to Greece, and I know your video will help me indeed, so thank you, thumbs up, subscribed 👍👍👍
I absolutely love this video!!! & I appreciate you for giving us all the awesome tips and tricks to spend mindfully to travel. I didn't know most of these methods. So, thank you so much. Take care.
Great video and superb content!! I don't see me hopping a "budget" airline in the middle east or India. "Hey, that pilot looked just like the guy who checked my bag"
Thanks for all the tips, David. Super helpful. Unfortunately, the websites you recommended like Scott's cheap flights only work from flights beginning in the USA. Do you know different websites, which monitors and alerts cheap flights from Europe to everywhere?
You can use these clues to work and travel. There is a book, So you think you want to be a travel nurse that will help you get the contracts. Great help
Great video. I can’t believe i actually listened to the whole video and didn’t skip!! Question about the last hack: when you explain about Boston to Houston vs Boston to Orlando via Houston. That won’t work if you have checked in baggage cause you would get them only at your final destination??
Ryan air prices are usually not what you see at first sight though Typically they add different taxes at checkout, and aren't very comfortable to fly with overall, but are ok for 2-3 hour flights
Quite a few years ago I accidentally discovered that flying from Minneapolis to Dallas (via Houston) was enough cheaper than Minneapolis to Houston that I took the flight to Dallas. I got contacted about the skipped leg by the airline, but after the fact, there wasn't much recourse.
You explained booking flights with a VPN the most comprehensively I've ever seen on CZcams. You also explained the other points extremely well AND all with examples, which helps greatly. A few years ago, I had a flight YVR-YYZ-YOW round trip and I decided last minute I wanted to stay in Toronto for a couple days, then I'd take a short train ride to Kingston and my sister would pick me up and we'd drive the hour to her house (SE of Ottawa). The agent told me I'd need to take the whole trip to Ottawa, because the airline might cancel my return booking if I wasn't on the last leg of the flight. In the end I took the whole flight then went to VIA RAIL and took a 4 hour train ride to Toronto. I don't remember why I didn't just change the booking (maybe it was expensive, not sure)

If i pay in another country's currency because of the VPN, won't my bank take commission from the money conversion?
From Boston to Bangkok

A big downside to skiplag is you must only have carry on. The airlines will not reroute your bag when you hop off at the connection.
