Sebby with the Kendrick reference. Never thought I'd see the day đđ
đ
@@AskSebby Thanks for the reply! It would be great for you to do a video on both great and poor transfer partners, and an updated walkthrough on how to find great travel redemptions. I find this to be the most challenging part of the hobby
Same đ
This was amazing
đđ
Sebby when explaining his transfer partner redemptions: âThey Not Like Usâ
A deep dive on the air line transfer would be awesome. Looking to travel to London England in the near furfure.
David Braun has a video like this if you need something quickly. Similar content to Ask Sebby
The Kendrick line đđđ
đ
Big Sebby who knew you had bars lol
đ
Iâd love a deep dive into each travel partner to better understand the process and value associated with each. Love your videos! đ
@AskSebby would love for you to do a video comparing best airlines for South America AND best ways to get one-way flights via credit card points (use ccâs travel booking vs. transfer points to airlines)! Thanks for covering all the nitty-gritty info!
Just transferred 12k points from Chase to Hyatt for a stay in Virginia. Was 1.8c/pt...not amazing but not bad either. Best part, staying at a conveniently located hotel for free.
A LOT of our trips are the random airport hotels, roadtrips, small ones that make sense but aren't really worth filming. Conventions are usually another big win where we've gotten "$450 per night" rooms for like 10k points.
đ def yes on best transfer options video for chase points especially for Japan round trip lie flat strategy tnx
Thanks for the detailed and well delivered explanations on Chase points! Looking forward to similar videos for Amex and Capital One.
thank you so much
đ Awesome Sebby! Love all your videos! I am working hard to get the Chase Sapphire Preferred but until after I close on my house in November or December.đ
đ Great Video, Chase has some powerful points!
đ as always, thank you for your videos! hope you guys had a good time at niseko this year; the top didnt open for us due to weather. wouldn't mind the deep dive for chase travel partners as my wife and i have been using CO more since i was waiting for an elevated CSP/CSR SUB. thank you again!
Great breakdown, sir đ
đ great video
Can you make a similar video for Amex points? Working on the 175k signup bonus and would love to see the best options for redemptions
Sebby great video as always, would love for you to do a video on what you would do by transferring points to Emirates for a trip to the Maldives
đ great video like always
Thank you! đ
Thanks for the video. Iâm curious to know how you decide on which hotel card to put points to. Iâve got Hilton Surpass and Bonvoy Brilliant - one is 6x and other is 12x - is one worth more than the other? How do you personally choose which one to feed more points? Thanks
Don't usually respond but really enjoy all your channels and Mandy as well, keep up the good work. My wife and I are old but do follow some of your recommendations
Thank you :)
Fantastic and useful video as a Chase CC customer! I've only ever accumulated points and haven't used them yet but this video gives a solid primer on how best to maximize benefits. It would be good to know how points depreciate over time in different programs (e.g. frequency, value decline) and your thoughts on spending points regularly to maximize value vs. saving for a dream experience (but risk devaluation). đ
đ love all the videos! Could you provide some insight on how to book first class to Asian and Europe with Amex points?
Sebby can you do a similar video for AmEx MRs? Thanks! đđŒ
đ can you do a video about using your points for domestic flights
đtook my first Cruise with Virgin using the points and Iâm glad itâs back this year. The cash fares are pretty reasonable for some cruises notably the Caribbean ones on non peak days but im glad the deal is back to try the Med ones.
đ I stayed at the Hyatt at Waikiki Beach in Hawaii for a whole week using chase points, off peak season too, about 20k per night whereas after fees the cash price wouldâve been $400~
Which one did you stayed? And how do you like it?
đ I think it would be helpful to see how one goes about booking air travel through points, where you show us literally how you do it.
Step 1: Figure out how many points are needed specifically for the airfare
Step 2: Transfer those points through AMEX / Chase, etc...
Step 3: Pay taxes or fees if appicable
Actually seeing you do it would help. I think a lot of people just default to chase travel for 1.5CPP when there may be a lot more value if we did transfer points instead.
Just a thought.
Can you do a video on economy point redemptions? I get that the aspirational travel/high end experiences are a big draw, but I think for some of us itâs more about making a $1500 economy flight around the word affordable by finding a 70,000 point option, or something like that⊠Iâd personally take 2 economy long haul intâl flights for free over one biz class flight even if itâs only 1.5 or 1.3 c per point instead of 2 or 3 or 4 c per point but can still be tricky to find best redemptions for the same reasons like different cost of fuel surcharges and variable award points charts etc.
Agree.
Trust me if you're planning intl long haul.. Like Dubai, 12 hrs.. Economy is the worst. My back hurt for the first 2 days of my trip. Didn't get to sleep or rest.. Kids crying whole time..I would've loved to have biz class , good food, and sleep
My partner is a school teacher and as mentioned we are on a set schedule and yet Hyatt points are really good value for us. Already booked Hyatt centric park city and grand Hyatt vail for next ski season. And we booked Hyatt centric before this years devaluation. Keep up the great work - just see a video you made 5 years ago on WOH credit card - you have come a long way on your production skills and haircut â€
Kendrick reference đ
Just the good options! & for flying please lol.
Thanks for the review. Mileage will vary, but for my use case I agree with the hotel / airline points redemption. I mostly travel with my family and the availability for flights for four award tickets is limited and if I were to find 4 tickets, the amount of points needed can put me in a category 6+ Hyatt for a week+ (season and location dependent).
đ I like the flexibility of UR points, the ability to cash out at 1 CPP and transfer partners like Aeroplan, Flying Blue and Hyatt.
I agree. URs are my favorite points currency
Iâm in the northeast so for me: JetBlue, Chase Travel, Hyatt, Chase Account fund, and Card Statement credit⊠in that order. Love the Kendrick reference!
Deep dive into the chase award sweet spots would be good!
Almost at 300k subscribers!!!!!đ
đ
Best way to track 24 months to renew signup bonus? Is it 24 months from opening or when bonus has been reached?
I'd like to see a video on redeeming points for economy travel- jet blue/southwest etc. Using portal vs transferring pts to the carrier. Cash price in portal is usually higher than booking direct but points is the same.
đ I have the Southwest Priority that I use as my primary. Once Companion is met for my wife and I, I shift over to my Chase Preferred or I use it to pay for travel expenses where the Preferred makes sense. Recently thought of shifting to the Amex since there are more point rewards for travel and more options for point redemption. We do prefer to stay at Hilton which is a redemption option for Amex.
Any thoughts?
Great vids. Itâs way more difficult to get the 2 cents per point for US domestic flights. Any tricks for getting it am I missing something?
There are some cases I can cover but for domestic, probably not worth the time spent researching / planning. Easier to lock in the 1.5 CPP imo.
đ about to pull the string on a CHASE card. Your info has been super to compare travel cards. We'll hit the link when we do! đ
Thank you! :)
đ recently transferred to KLM for the first time and got great value. Also have done Hyatt before. But best use case for me and my P2 is Southwest (especially when we had Companion Pass).
could you do the whole think about jet blue the good and the bad
đ Hey Sebby thanks for all your content. Tend to use my points for travel only. Just booked a FC seat for my mom for Motherâs Day to Dallas, some points for a stay at Hilton Plata del Carmen for a quick bday trip and finally 30k Transfer to VA for a Seat to Rome for the P2.
Wanted to ask
for myself currently sitting at 2/24
CF/CFlex/CFU/CSR/Boundless/WOH/CapVX/CitiDouble in hand with 2 NFCU ccs also in hand.
Looking to grab at least 2 more ccs this year for a intro as I have big spend coming up. Deciding if I should dive into Amex now for a Hilton and Green or Gold start? Wanted to ask for recommendations!
Next big trip South Africa or NZ/AU.
transfer partners video would be nice for venture x csr users...trying to venture to eastern europe
One thing is it doesnât have to be a chase bank account to redeem for cash back it can be any bank that you have linked to your account that you use to make payments on your account
đ So Iâve been farming chase points for 2 years now, and Iâm surprised but how few transfer partners you considered to be good value. I know flight redemption market changes a lot each year, but I was hoping with Chase I had better value options with more international transfer partners.
Is British airways not a good one at all to transfer to? I heard using them for avios can be a good deal for traveling to other countries outside UK like Japan (and if itâs business class I donât care about the fuel tax). Is the value no longer worth it with them? Emirates is definitely still on my list to experience first or business class too, as well as Turkish air.đź
would love a video about amex points and chase points, the options for each, pros and cons, and which you think is better or why you would want one or the other, if having both would ever make sense, etc. I feel like the Amex and Chase ecosystems are the two biggest, and would like some opinions on the two.
I see what you did there! #bars đ
Having an updated video on the best value travel partners would be nice, especially if you group the airlines by destination, ie. this airline is good for Europe, but not Asia.
Can you make one of these for capital one miles? I have a whole bunch that Iâm having a little trouble using
On the list!
Hyatt is a great transfer partner. We also get good value out of Southwest due to having companion pass, so about 2.8-3.0 cpp.
Hi Sebby, I've been a Bonvoy member for a long time and I'm holding the Chase Marriott Boundless card. Iâm thinking of upgrading the card.
Can I upgrade the Boundless card to the AMEX Brilliant to get Marriott Platinum status and also get the Chase Sapphire Reserve card to stay with Chase? Is it worth it? What are my options?
đ I like the Marriott 40% boost. That can work out to a decent value down the road if I can catch the right deal at the right time. Last year I was able to book a room in Austin during the race for 130k points. Given that rooms were so inflated in price it worked out to be 4.5Âą/point value.
You know what I really want to know about? Your opinion about CSR stopping the offer of priority pass on July 1st I would love to see a video about this
Already covered here: czcams.com/video/EAIvOS5cbog/video.html
Def want a deep dive on transfer partners! I get completely overwhelmed just trying to search, compare, and do analysis on what's a good deal. Both deep dive into the good options and how to actually search for good value award travel in a way that doesn't take all day, if that's even possible.
i was doiung research on travel cards and I never thought I would hear a kendrick refference on a vid like this lmao
đ I use points for partners if there's a bonus, but otherwise I have used it through Chase travel. I'd really like to see a deep dive into point redemptions with airlines and hotels with Chase points, but mostly the reasoning you have for why a product may or may not pass the Sebby test if it's good or bad. đđ
4-10 cpp with Hyatt?! Could you please make a video on your best hotel CPP finds? đ
Usually resorts or popular cities for best redemption value.
I have about 110,000 points and I would love to use them to travel from the west coast of the USA to Bangkok but Iâve never transferred to partners
đ Awesome video as always! Personally I would love to see a deep dive of the best ways to redeem Chase points for flights using transfer partners. This would include direct redemptions (e.g. transferring to Emirates to fly that airline) and partner redemptions (e.g. transferring to Aeroplan to redeem Singapore Airlines flights)
Great video! But...I don't understand why you pick that horrible expensive low quality example for a Hotel in Tokyo? There are way better offers :)
Chase points are best!
One of the easiest to use :)
Seb, i just did my first points transfer! I needed to book a room at the dallas hyatt regency for a conference. Regular room rate was about $250 a night. But I was able to transfer over 9000 URs & got the same room for 1 night. If my calculations are correct thats a 2.8 cpp! đ
Congrats! :)
Crown I have 155.000 Chase Ink Freedom points, whatâs the best way to redeem? Crown
đ love Pay Yourself Back. Spent all our points on hotels in Iceland recently.
Sebby could you do a video on best premium/business class for couples? Seems like all airlines are making their first classes (Mint, Polaris) into single-person cocoons, only some widebodies seem to have seats together, in the middle. We flew Icelandair Saga which was fun but feels like if we want to sit together we have to fly economy đ
đ Hey Sebby, why donât you like Chase to United transfer?!
W Sebby
W Kendrick đđđđ
I would love a deep dive into airline transfer partners. I use hyatt a lot now, but i want to learn how to transfer to airlines and get best value. I fly out of either Portland, OR, or Seattle and Alaska is most popular but their cpp seems pretty bad
đ Team transfer partner. I work for the airlines. So Iâm all in on Hyatt.
I'm jealous that you can standby for business class on int'l flights :)
@@AskSebby Actually I can stand by for first. But the other side of the coin if the flight is full I donât get on at all. lol. Love your content. Keep up the good work.
đ use my points for luxury/aspirational travel
đŠDa boy because the heart part 6 demonstrated military tactics!
I am happy 1.5 plus airlines miles and Hyatt
đ
My frustration is getting less than 2cpp!
BARS
đCurrently, I am moving away from Chase as I have C1 Venture X. This card gives my family lounge access in Denver.
I like Chase but probably will not use my S Prefered much until a lounge comes to Denver. If that happens Iâll probably be Chase all the way.
Doesnât the transfer pts to partners take a day or two to transfer over? By then your room might not be available anymore. Good video though!
I just did a hyatt transfer today. Within 5 minutes or less my points transferred. Not sure ifâs always like that
@@docsays nice thanks for the info.
No, that's specific airlines where it might take some time to transfer.
In a world where hotel/airline points are all sold at under 2c each, could you still say points are worth 2cpp?
Maybe Avios, and AA for partner redemptions are the easiest ways to consistently get over 2 cents. You can often find domestic USA economy travel for 2+ cents as well (I've done it with UA and AA). However, transferable point currencies very easily get 2+ cents each if you're into biz/first class. I generally get 2 - 4 cents per UR/MR if booking long haul premium fares (using r/t at time of booking prices, not inflated 1 way close in prices).

Just have that feeling that Hyatt will join the crowd in retiring the award charts. I am not sure requalifying for Globalist is a smart move but I am doing it anyway lol.

Also I am planning a round trip Paris trip with my wife and I want to take a round trip train ride to Zurich and back to paras to fly home.
LOS ANGELES- PARIS(roundtrip)
Zurich - Train ride round trip
What do you recommend to accomplish this? Any help would be appreciated
Let's get right to the most important question: which credit card is the Anthony Edwards of cards?
đŠ
Debby weâre in houston we will fly you out and pay for your 5 star hotel đŠđŠđŠđŠ
That hotel did not look worth 1200 at all, Iâd pay 1200 Maybe at a ryokan out in the country but not in the city.
đ Sebby do you think Kendrick or Drake is winning right now? đ
đŠfor algo
Why do you always talk about Maldives?
I used many examples in the video, not just the Maldives đ€· Itâs your choice to fixate on it.
đŠđŠđŠđŠ
đ First?
Update: NOOOOOO!! đ
Almost!
Don't worry buddy everybody gets up trophy đ đ„

Yup! You got it You're the first gun out of the holster

Well the Apple ceap is useless to me as a Samsung/Android user because I'm not an Isheep đđđ
đ
Great content as always! Question for you on keeping the CSP, if player 2 also has CSP? Do we both need it? Or one of us downgrade? đđ #teamtransferpartners
Seems reasonable to downgrade one if you don't use any of the other benefits.
