- In Episode 4 of the #projectdbc2 build with our 2008 Audi S3 8P, we are now turning up the power!
The complete build so far has focused on building a solid and healthy platform for power through proper servicing and maintenance items, as well as getting our drivetrain, brakes and suspension ready for the extra speed and torque coming its way.
Underground Performance are renowned for their performance work especially on Volkswagen, Audi and Skoda platforms. What sets them a part from other tuning companies is that they don’t always aim for the highest power number on a dyno - instead they tune for usable power that is safe for the engine and drivetrain.
Before the tuning commences, the team at UGP supply and bolt on a new Downpipe, Cold Air Intake and uprated Fuel Pump to allow the engine to breathe and have an adequate supply of fuel.
Alex then gets to work with a UGP Stage 2+ tune, modifying the maps as he goes and tweaking on the dyno.
The end result is an impressive total power output of 215.4kW of power and 440Nm of torque at all 4 wheels! A properly respectable amount of power for a light, nimble, manual all-wheel-drive car.

intake, exhaust and all matanance, 2023 that bish goin to stage 2+ minimum,owned ot for 4 yrs now and believe it or not its starting to feelslow
I have lost the threads of one of the PCV Valve screws from the same car. Do you know how to get that screw to hold again?

Chassis dyno, so power is calculated at the wheels, however we use KW, not HP.

you cant drive 360-380 hp with stage 2...

Maybe îs not an S3 .... S3 Is 265 Hp , 195 kw stock , stage 2 + on s3 îs 360-370hp ...

Correct me if im wrong but shouldn't this be pushing more than 300bhp with a stage 1? A stage 2+ should be alot more than 288bhp.

Stage 2+ pushes around 360+ Bhp and this is barely pushing 300bhp. I dont understand.
@@zAtleey yeah neither do i😂. I enjoyed the video and thee setup of what they're doing and i know its an older car but it not running above 300bhp with a stage 2+ map is abit embarrassing. Definitely had second thoughts of buying one of these S3's now
@@mikemcl22 Dont get me wrong, the setups/episode of the car coming together was great but seeing those numbers I lost all hope. It gets 300+ bhp on a stage 1. They need to re-dyno it again and convert it to BHP and see what they get.
@@zAtleey yeah defo man. Im wondering if the audi S3's, wherever this was filmed, we're underpowered and given like 200bhp from stock. Just making assumptions but i dont see how they dont see something wrong with that figure. Definitely needs a re-dyno.
Pretty sure its Australia, the car might have come with a KO3 turbo and they all have no idea about It. 280bhp looks like a KO3 turbo figures.
